Accomodation in Montreal
« on: July 22, 2007, 03:42:57 am »
Hey Guys,

Visiting Montreal Aug 3 - Aug 7 and looking for a place to stay. All the hotels in and around gay village are booked or are very expensive! If anyone knows of any reasonable (price-wise) place, please do let me know :)

Cheers

I thought the hotel where we stayed last August was fabulous.....and the prices weren't bad.
It's right on the edge of the village and only blocks from the underground rail system & shopping.

I "heard" of people staying at the tubs as a cheap way to stay in Montreal... You can make reservations for several days, in/out privileges... Just don't take much luggage, since your room is going to be small...

I also "heard" that it's recommended that you take ear plugs if you want to sleep... Or you can go to a local drugstore and by cotton balls... take the ear plugs trust me...  At least that is what I heard.

Mauricio.

Thanks for the info David & Mauricio.

Gouverneur Hotel Place Dupuis  is booked for the weekened. Fortunately, I did manage to get a room in another hotel. I'm very excited to go to Montreal ! It's my first time!

Cheers
