Thanks Win! I would start a new thread but I am not really sure how to do it. Today at our staff meeting we found out the projected enrollment for next year and it looks like 5th grade will end up with at least 36 students..... :o :'( I don't even want to think about it....CRAZY! I guess I will deal with it next year.

I guess I am glad I spent most of the day and night gaming....It took forever for a new thread to pop but thanks Wini. The title did make me laugh....Nothing interesting happened at all for me today. My son called and spoke to him for a hot second, wondering why he didn't get the money order I dropped in the mail on Friday. Maybe he got it after he talked to me, I'll ask when I talk with him again. He said he wrote me a letter so I hope I will get it today sometime.
Wini---I do agree your son looks very much like you but I like the blonde better. Is the darker hair natural or colored? A friend came through today with his hair colored and looked like a Dennis Rodman reject. I looked at him but was shaking my head to myself.
I need to go to bed. I have my MRI in the morning and then my ID in the afternoon. Maybe I'll have something to report. I'll check in after the appointments. Sweet Dreams....

Queen good luck at the doctors today.
last night i was supposed to go for a movie with a friend, so i knocked off late at work and it was too late to get in. what does he do? i thought we were going to grab some food and sit and talk or something, instead he drags me shopping for his groceries. and he didnt buy me anything! not that im complaining or anything coz everything is damn expensive its ridiculous. takeways for $800mil. ha! i bumped into my little sister by the takeaway, and when i got home with just some eggs we'd chanced in a supermarket and no takeaway, she's like "Chicken Inn too expensive huh?" She was also empty handed thank you very much. Wonder why these men ask us out when they cant afford it. Anyway we ended cooking supper at 8pm otherwise we wouldve gone to bed hungry.
I cant find underwear to buy in town. For real. Its either ridiculous expensive lacy tiny g-strings or horrible cheap Chinese made panties which fall apart at anytime. My aunt once bought a lacy pair of Chinese underwear. She only wore it once. When she wanted to wear them again she noticed a thread hanging loose so she pulled it. The whole thing just unravelled in her hands and she had to throw it away, there was no way to sew it back together or anything. Its crazy. I'll go hunting again today after work , see if i can find a proper shop with normal underwear that i can actually afford.
Keeping - im so excited for you. I hope everything is going well for the wedding.

Good morning ladies! Spent all stinking day yesterday seeing doctors and getting Mini's labs. We (me, Mini, and #6) left the house at 5:30am and we finally got home around 1:30pm. All I wanted to do was crawl in bed for a few hours, but i wasn't that lucky. I caught up on the laundry, and got supper ready early, then we all headed off to #5's t-ball game. Got home, baths, bed, then I fell asleep in my rocking chair. #2 decided he wasnt' going to sleep and was up all danged night. I'm in a very foul mood today so I'm trying to stay away from everyone - which is pretty futile. Hoping to get our onions and herbs planted today.
No rejection letter yet. We did get a letter saying that I had to prove my citizenship. Hubby took pity on me and brought everything to DHHR for me when I got home with the girls. The lady wasn't there, so the secretary made copies of everything and said someone will call us "soon" - I'm not holding my breath. Friday, we go back to Morgantown to see Mini's PID.
I'll write more later, I'm really tired and my brain is having problems putting thoughts together.

Hi Betty - i was also having trouble with the site, a couple of my posts seemed to have disappeared or somthing.
I'm not reading much these days, its either tv or movies. last book i read was Jackie Collins 'All the men are married' or something like that. Not exactly a thriller... we were talking yesterday with my friend after the aborted movie and he was saying the international community is going to end up just watching and waiting at us coz we're just too tame and peaceful. we're not rioting in the streets or burning buildings or destroying property or anything and we are allowing all this shit to happen to us. people just talk and complain and yet we continue to go and buy the overpriced commodities and use the overpriced transport. okay so we dont have a choice. we should just boycott everything or do something drastic and effective, but non-violent of course ::).
Mum - i hope u feel better soon, cant imagine what u go thru every single day with the kids. i'd probly go crazy. u should probly change your name to Supermum.
i had a visit from a guy who works in one of the other doctors' rooms. just to chat. he looks like that TV guy from the comedy "All of us" the one who's living with his ex-wife, but he's got a wider nose and thicker lips but the resemblence is there. its so sweet the way he just walked in. i really dont know what to do with him. but he's nice.

Yesterday I spent the hospital with my nephew who had to have surgery on his hand! Well we got the name and license of the man that ran into him, the police have a lady who is witnessed it and called the police herself!The cop is going to be repremanded for not doing his job! Throwing an object at a moving vehicle is a felony!!! anyhow sis is getting a lawyer to handle the case.

Wini---I do agree your son looks very much like you but I like the blonde better. Is the darker hair natural or colored?
He was foolish enough to color it black just to see what it would look like. I took him to a beauty supply store earlier and bought stuff to strip the color off his hair. My house smells like ass now but his hair is kind of a caramel blonde now. We will wait a week or so and recolor it blonde.
He will wind up bald so it doesn't matter to me if he experiments with his hair. His hair is already thinning and receding. His natural color is a dark blonde like mine.
tendai - I have taken it for granted how easy it is to get underwear here. I'd rather wear plain old cotton underwear than those lacy things. G strings make you want to pick at your butt all day. and lace can be itchy.

I hate those cheap Chinese ones or thongs b/c both are usually synthetic and give me an itch at best and yeast infection at worst!
Mom what a nightmare, I hate sleeplessness.
Viv - 36 is a lot, however in all my years at school we were at least 40. But I have never had a good teacher, and with that amount of students no wonder none of them left a mark. I hope you will get some assistance.

It's evening and quite warm here, summer's here and I am so not ready for it. I feel like my body's changing so much and my face too, my hands and temples are getting skinny, but for the first time in my life I am getting a double chin and I am not even that fat - I mean this is not my heaviest ever but I have never had that before. I pray that this isn't lipo. I know if it is I'll probabaly handle it but I don't want to.
I have to work a lot on the upcoming weeks and months but I am procrastinating again, I really worry about my lack of motivation, it's a threat, but its like, if there's so much to do, I just freeze in panic.
Oh well.... Hugs to my sisters, all of you have a very special place in my heart.

I think actually it is always crazy around here but it is finally catching up to me. You are very welcome, Drag. I am so glad you like it. I totally understand the procrastination thing, I have been having a lot of problems concentrating lately myself. Maybe if you promise yourself something you always wanted ,it will help you to get motivated :)

I have been playing catch up since my son was home from school sick last week. I haven't really got much stuff done for myself. I went and started raking the lady I volunteer for yard and got a call from the alarm co. , that something was happening at my back door ...again. I got home and found nothing...which I guess is better than something. I feel like a huge weight has been taken off my shoulders with my sons father being in jail. It will give me some time of not having to worry about the safety and well being of my son. He is sad for his father which is to be expected but I think it will all work out in the long run. He is such an old soul. For being 9 , he is very caring and compassionate. My parents came out this weekend and he had everyone come in his room and hold hands so he could say a prayer for my mothers dog that had passed away. Where he gets that from I don't know, he did the same thing around my Grandfather when he passed 4 years ago.
Hope everyone is doing well. I apologize if I missed anyone.

Drag, if you're getting lipo, you'll be in an exclusive club (hee). I've been dealing with it for years, mostly the belly and skinny legs. I procrastinate all the time. It's amazing I ever get anything done.
Snow, I go to my ASO tomorrow to talk to this guy about starting probably in the next two weeks. My grandson, granddaughter and their "mother" will be coming for a visit this weekend. I got my grandson a few educational coloring books (numbers, letters) and some crayons. Your son sounds adorable.
Queen, I'm thinking about you and wondering how your appointment went.
Housing did their inspection today. The guy seemed really picky. Of course, I don't know what he was writing down, but when he was done he said "well, everything looks alright." So, hopefully, that's the end of that.
Besides going to my ASO tomorrow, I also have a doctor's appointment. I'm getting a pap/pelvic/depo shot. I'm having some troublesome irritation right now down in the vaginal area. I don't know what it is and I'm not jumping on the diagnosing bandwagon. I'll see what the doctor says tomorrow. I'll also be getting labs done, so I should know sometime next week where everything's at. I always have the lab send me copies of everything.
Other than that, it's been a quiet evening. I'll check in later, to see if Queen has anything to report.
Edited to add: Wendy, I like the thread title. I would have posted about it this morning, but I was in too much of a tizzy (pouting).

Good evening ladies. I think the fog has finally cleared from my head. I'm feeling a little bit better. I think I've figured out a regiment that doesn't knock me out, but helps with the cough. It's supposed to pour the rain tomorrow, but my head says it's coming tonight. I posted Mini's labs from yesterday in LW. I think I posted that already, but I can't remember. Maybe some of the fog is still hanging around..lol.
We planted onions today. The doors are open and with the wind, our whole house smells like onions. Made some marinated baked chicken tonight and thought about you, Betty. ;D I made a pudding pie with a sugar cookie crust and thought about you more :-* Got the laundry done today and all the matresses lysoled. Tomorrow is grocery shopping and #2's ball game (if it doesn't get rained out). His great-granny is coming to watch him. He's playing against 2 of his cousins ;)
Drag, I haven't tried the open onion. My eyes pour when I cut onions to cook. I'm glad you had a good time on your holiday.
Queen, been thinking about you a lot lately, hun. How were your appointments?

Evening Ladies----
I went and had the MRI done, I guess the specialist will get the results back in a few days. As for my appointment with the ID doctor, my viral load wasn't back yet but my cd4 count was at 705 which my ID doc thinks could be a mistake since I didn't take my meds for a week. I don't think it is a mistake just from going by my previous counts...in Sept 07 it was 215...by February 08 it was at 401 and now 3 months later it is saying 705. To me, I would think it is accurate. My percentage also went up from 22 to 26 so we decided to do another cd4 and viral load in a month's time to see who is right. He also told me that if I don't get in to see a therapist that he will take me off of Atripla because he still wants me to take the Celexa for the depression I had in January and I have not gone back on it. I explained that I was fine before the depression and am fine now. So, he says that if the therapist says I don't need the Celexa then he will keep me on the Atripla. Next up is the lung specialist on the 12th and I might just have to get another MRI for that though I hope not.
My son keeps relaying messages to me from his gf and I got a letter in the mail from him today. Now he is stressing about being locked up and swears if he gets out of this that he will be good. Sadly, there is no getting out of it due to the seriousness of his crime. I think he is listening to some jailhouse lawyers, I will write him a letter tonight or tomorrow explaining this to him. But he seems to think that I can go to his hearing and wave the custody papers I have and they will reduce it to juvenile. And I am suppose to go down there and lie and say that he was living with me when he was not. I refuse to go down there and lie to the court. I am not sure that I will even go to his hearing to be honest about it. I don't want to see him in chains and my being there I don't feel will make a bit of difference. But I will say all this in the letter I plan to write him. What I am concerned about is that he still didn't get the money order I put in the mail on Friday. I am going to call the jail tomorrow and the post office.
Other than that, nothing happening and still waiting to see if I am going to get this stimulus check. I would comment more but I am a bit tired from being up early.

I had my blood work done today. But I forgot to ask them for an appointment to see the doctor to get the results when they get them next week. I'll have to remember to call them and set one up. Hopefully I wont forget the appointment. I've missed a couple of appointments this year because I forget. Oh well. Eventually I'll find out what my new numbers are and when I do I'll be sure to tell you all.

Netta - he's taking so long, we'll probably be old and grey by the time he gets around to asking me out or anything! almost feel like doing the asking myself, i'm of the life-is-too-short-to-waste-time school of thought. u want something - go for it. he seems shy and i dont want to scare him off. so innocent. i can imagine the shock on his face if we ever get to the point where i have to disclose to him :o wheres the smiley of someone fleeing leaving a huge cloud of dust? :D
Drag - i'm also hoping its not lipo. good luck with work, i also tend to procrastinate, then i sometimes overdo it and my boss yells at me ::). Can u believe he gave me cheque dated 2006 for my salary? after standing for an hour in the bank the teller pointed it out to me. i was so pissed off. i shouldve noticed it myself in the first place. I jsut realised realised i havent had yeast infection for some years now. honest. i was having lots of them around the time when i got diagnosed which i why i so strongly suspect that UK guy to have infected me but since then i havent had them. i wonder if theres a connection or if its all in my head

Betty - yes we're terrified. u should see pictures of people who were beaten up by ZANU thugs. whipped all over their backs, limbs broken, buttocks burned. men women and some children who were unfortunate enough to get in the way of a flying boot or something. my boss has been doing a lot of surgery on some of these guys (making a lot of money by far). Theres a woman who got an arm broken and both buttocks burned. its sad really. thank goodnesst theres some organisations who are paying for their treatment cos thier bills are totally horrendous. imagine a bill of over $250Bill for surgery only. and this person doesnt work and lives in the rural areas. The government is just waiting for us to turn violent they're so prepared. It might be soon. On Monday we got into town paying $70mil, last night on Wednesday we paid $100mil. Bread is going up tomorrow to $160mil. thats about $16US. We just pay quietly or complain quietly but we pay. What can we do? starve or pay. >:(
Snow - u're right, they'd be in a black hole somewhere with the necklace, its crazy.
i found some cotton underwear but the shop was closed, they were going for $320mil. Went to Truworths, they only had g-strings going for $2billion. As if. ::)
I last had my labs done in January. i probably should get new ones done now that 3 months are up. fortuatnely for me i can just write out the request form and the results will be delivered to our rooms in about 2/3 days. i'll only go to the doctor if my boss says i need to go though. i'm still afraid of going to gt the blood drawn here in our building coz i work here and they would know my status and all. But it would be so convenient, the lab is just a few metres away. can even get them the same day if we mark the request urgent :-\

Great #s Queen and hope they're not a mistake, I don't see why they should be. I'm sorry about your son, is there maybe a free legal consultancy service available in your area, or some kind of hotline/website (I know it would be easier for you online or face to face than by phone)? It's hard to know if he knows anything that would really help, it might end up doing him more damage than good, lying that is. I understand why you wouldn't want to be there. My heart goes out to you.
Tendai, let's hope he wouldn't run away - from my very limited experience, not just with the BF but with friends, it's actually the jaded "experienced" ones who judge and disappear, b/c they've got dirty minds and judge you to have been really nasty - whatever than means (of course that's a generalization). The inoccent ones, they'll be the ones to sit and listen, and not make assumptions. With the HIV rates in Zim, I doubt he is completely unaffected by the disease, he must know plenty of people who have it, as you do even if you weren't poz.
Mom it your family sound like "little house on the prairie" to me, you guys do everything yourselves. Planting onions!
Snow I can sense your relief, it must be such a menace to have someone like your ex around, hope he stays locked up a looooong time.
Netta it sounds like there are two parallel systems of law enforcement and justice systems in America... nuff said. Good on your sis for standing up for her rights!!
Betty good luck with the PAP and all. I hate it!! actually back home my male doctor didn't do it too badly, OK it was never fun, but when I came here, the women do it really painfully. My British friend has had the same experience. You'd think that a woman would be more gentle than a man with your most tender bits, not necessarily...
Wow the week is almost gone (admittedly it started Tue) and I managed to do extremely little... if my bosses only knew, they'd kick me to the curb. It's like the more I have to do the less I do.

Queen, it sounds like you had quite a day. I'm assuming the doctor would take you off the Atripla because of the depression factor of the Sustiva. Has the appointment with the therapist come through yet? You just keep hanging in there. About your son, well, you have to do what you feel is right. I personally wouldn't lie to the court. If they ever found out different, I wouldn't want them coming after you. It's hard to see one's child in chains. That's how my daughter was when she was in trouble years ago-shackles and cuffs. It was heart-breaking. Good luck tracking down that money order. I think it might take a few days to get the money on someone's books. But it's worth checking out.
Tendai, it's too bad weapons can't get into the hands of the citizens over there. I mean, I'm not really one for rioting etc., but desperate times and all that. Now, what's going on with this new love interest? ;)
I think I already posted about what I'm going to do today. The doctor and the ASO. But that's not until this afternoon. Until then, I'll probably do some reading. I talked to a guy last night who lives in Baltimore. He contacted me on pozpersonals. He's like 45 and Italian. He told me that a couple of his grandfather's relatives had been shot by the mob. Of course, who knows if that's true. But, talking to him was alright. He's into politics (liberal) and seemed to know what he was talking about. Of course, one never knows about people one connects with on the intawebz. But, I don't mind talking to people on the phone. Of course, he never knows about me either. ::)
Other than the doc's and ASO, nothing else going on. I hope you ladies have a good morning. I'll be back a little later.

I have been contacted by a few recently and am messaging a coupole of them. One lives in Greensboro, which is only 40 miles away. I might meet him for coffe soon. Queen, those #'s sound great. I hope you get good results from the MRI. I got a letter from my oldest yesterday. We went through that, I'm gonna be good stage to and your son might really mean it bvut hopefully you can make him understand. Yes, I skipped most of my oldest's court appointment. Had a blast with BF in VA this past weekend...He was a riot to my family..so outgoing and cracking jokes the whole time..they liked him a lot..(ddint matter if they did or not) but thats a good thing..we got some Henna tats of each others names on our arms...when we went to Kings DOminion..it was so nice and warm and there werent any long lines...i got on the Drop ZOne (just like free fall)..didnt want to but i did..didnt enjoy that but i did enjoy all of the coasters we rode...
Oh yeah we missed the wedding but we were on time for the reception... :-\..BF bought me areally pretty dress , it was black n white with a yellow sash, and i had on matching yellow accessories...and some pat n leather heels with the peeka boo toe..and he coordinated his outfit to mine.(yellow button down, black slacks n shoes) We were too cute...
Nothing really goin on right now...Still no word from baby daddy, but my kids dont seem to mind so oh well...ill just be waiting for his payments to start to kick in....

I have to apologise for making a very distressed post about my daughters relationship with me - and then disappearing for over a week from here.
I am very sorry I should not have done that, I should have at least let you know I was OK and also that everything that everyone said in response was right and that i appreciated the replies you gave.
Partly I have not been online because the next day I went down with some horrible flu/cold/bug! that even now I am not yet fully over. I do nto think I have felt so ill for years. I do not know if this was due somehow to the HIV or it being a very nasty virus or the fact I was also on my first few days of HIV medication when I caught it. But I did feel awful and weak and spend very little time at my computer anyway
But it was also that I realised that I needed to go and sort a few things out urgently in 'real life' and not jsut offload on forums. I really appreciate the value of forums like this and value this forum very much
But I realised also that in my case and at that time I was using forums as a way of offloading and not sorting out stuff with those concerned - in this case mainly my daughter and to a lesser extent my husband.............
So I just had to go away for a while, stay off forums and the Internet and sort things directly with my family.
I am not saying it is fully sorted, my daughter can and still does have a lot to learn - but then she is only 18-
But I think she understands more now what it is really all about and that she can not, and has no reason to disrespect me as she has been doing and I have my husbands support to step in and help me if and when she does. As before he has just been unassertive, been pleased she always likes him and not helped me at all with her behavior towards me.
Anyway so sorry I used the forum to offload and then disappeared.
All I can say is I apologise as I know this can upset others on forums - but that I really HAD to do it- I had to not come back until I had sorted soem things face to face

I am running on fumes, but constantly reminding myself to slow down.
Everyone at work loves me except for my mgr and another bitch in my dept. Both are as moody as hell and I am sick of being nice and getting no response or being stepped on. Today I realized that no matter how great the benefits, I am not staying there forever. I just keep doing my great work (yes, I am incredible, lol) and these other two look at me like I have it all. Grace under pressure, I say, if they only knew how the stress of this job was affecting me. I put in for a personal day on 5/22, so ha!
Iceman called late yest and asked if I wanted Chinese food for dinner. He drove over, got us dinner and I actually ASKED for a back rub which I never do. I was down in storage at work the prior day, unloading boxes of crap and dusting away dry dead spiders from filing cabinets, DOZENS of filing cabinets in a long narrow room, about 10' x 120'. Yeah, no room to wiggle in that place. So anyway my back was hurting and Ice rubbed me down last night. We had a great evening together just RELAXING. Ahhhhh. He knows I am spent with the commute and the work and now the bitches whose moods change like the wind. I just keep saying HI and smiling at everyone at work. I think that's what pisses them off. Fuck them. I can't help it if they were born stupid. I have started ignoring one of them, its so much nicer when I pretend she just isn't there.
OK, I am done venting, but I can't believe how Jr High it is at work with these people. Frikkin dumbass redneck bitches. If I only spoke my mind, oh Lordy I'd be fired, lol.
Yes, I am still wobbling and feel unsteady, but I have cut out caffeinated sodas and have started popping Xanax. I go see my Primary on my personal day to ask about SSRIs. I don't know what else to do.

Cin, I don't really know what to tell you about your work. I don't know of any job where everyone will like you. I suppose you just have to weigh the bad against the good.
I went to the doctor's today. He said what I have (down below) might be an irritation, but he did a herpes smear.(!) I really hope that's negative. But if it's not, oh well. I didn't insist on using condoms with the last guy I was screwing. I know condoms aren't 100% safe against herpes, but I should really practice what I preach there. It's probably nothing (here's hoping, anyway).
Then I went to my ASO and filled out the necessary paperwork for me to start volunteering, which I will do next week. I'll be there Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-5 answering phones. That will at least give me something to do with my time. I also talked to my case manager and signed the paperwork that I do every 3-4 months (releases of information for the doc, food stamps etc.).
Other than that, I've just been moping around. Sunday is mother's day and this wil be the first one without my mother. I miss her terribly. I still want to call her when something happens and tell her about it. I suppose I can talk to her, but it's not the same. I wish she was still here.

Hello all! It sounds like everyone had an ok day. My partner teacher and I took the kids to the public library to get books for their state reports. The library is only about a mile down the street so it is a nice walk. We go there every year because the library at school does not have enough reference books for all the 5th graders. I always wonder what the people driving by in their cars think when the see 63 students walking down the sidewalk...LOL! Well it was nice exercise and the kids were able to get a lot of books. We are working on a Mother's Day gift, needle point key chain, and I am worried we won't get it done in time. I guess we will be "sewing" all day tomorrow!
Yesterday I got a call from my mother, who is out of town, and she told me that my dad called her and told about a dog coming into the house. The little doggie came in the house and jumped on the couch with my dad and sat in his lap. Well I went over to take a look and see if I could find the owner. He was sooooo cute! I wanted to take him home! I walked to couple of houses that I thought he might live at and then ended up taking him to my vet. He had a chip in him and that gave the information of the owner. Turns out he belonged to my dad's neighbor. They didn't even know he got out! I was kind of shocked. I am an absolute dog lover and I would definitely know if my dog was missing. I told them they need to put a collar on him so he doesn't get taken and need to make sure he doesn't get out again. Anyways...my sister called me today and told me that they brought a pie over to thank me...YUMMY!
Well, that's all I've got. Tomorrow is FRIDAY...gotta find somewhere to go.... :)

Viv, good luck with the Mother's Day presents. This is the first mother's day my mum has been gone (she passed away last August). I miss her terribly. People tell me I can still "talk" to her. But it's not the same.
Tendai, so, are you going to go out with Shyguy this weekend? I think you should and if you do, good luck. I don't blame you for not wanting to invite him back to your place, especially when you don't really know him. Some guys turn out to only have one thing on their minds.
The only thing I have to do today is get bloodwork done. I'm in a particularly foul mood and I don't know why. I got 7 hours sleep, so that can't be it. I can't come up with a reason other than the usual (sick of being broke, I'm never successful at quitting smoking etc.). I did exercise a little yesterday-this abdominal routine and today I'm in pain. So, I either have to exercise more often or just forget about it.
Some good news, though. I have lost four lbs. The nurse informed me yesterday when I was at the doctor's. I don't know how I managed to do that. It's not like I've been on a diet. But hey, I'll take it where I can get it. So, that made me happy. I'm not going to worry about possibly having herpes. The doctor told me "condoms are really a good thing." I looked at him and said "I know, I tell people that all the time. But with herpes, condoms aren't 100% effective." Then he went into some long drawn-out thing about the skin shedding during sex and one being able to become infected that way (at least, that's what I remember, who knows). I just looked at him and said "I know. If I have it, I know it's my own fault for not insisting condoms be used." He just smiled and patted me on the back. His office should also be scheduling me for a mammogram. Last year I had to have a needle biopsy done on a lump I had in my right breast, so it's time to get another mammo done.

Keeping it short and sweet today. I don't know what's wrong with me but I am sick as a dog. I had a terrible headache yesterday that was so bad I was in tears. I couldn't keep anything down including my meds. I don't know where this came from because I was fine most of yesterday. I had an appointment for a ultrasound this morning but I didn't go so I have to reschedule it, well I called and left a message. I am suppose to get my tb shot read today but it doesn't look like that is going to happen either.
I am pissed because today is the day I am suppose to get my stimulus check according to their freaking schedule and nothing is there nor have I gotten a letter saying I wasn't going to get it.So I am wondering what the hell is going on with that but then again, not surprised because life seems to take a shit on me whenever possible. I can relate to not being in a good mood, Betty.

Betty: Hopefully its not HPV , but shit cant be no worse than what we already have...i have been tested 2x for that cus for one it was rumored that baby daddy had it..and 2 i used to get a painful pimple that took days to go away and was always on the same side...but each time it was swabbed it was negative..i still thought i had tho...but just has my gyn pointed out..the pimple always came around that time of the month so it was related to that...but it used to burn like the dickens!
Viv: Any suggestions on keeping a 14 yr old interested in learning????...Im having the hardest time with my teen..she is so unmotivated....you would think i was an absent parent or something the way she behaves in school....

Betty I hope it isn't herpes, I have never had it, only yeast infections which are not an STD per se but do tend to appear after some action, so maybe (hopefully) that's all youre dealing with. wouldnt that other person notify you if he was poz for herpes?
Viv, if you can control 30-something kids, your own would be a breeze. I was teaching once too, but the most I had to deal with were 25 of them. I didn't speak much of their language though - it was in Japan. I taught them English, or something. The kids over there are very well behaved, I dont think the teacher not knowing the language would work anywhere else.
Moon, not long ago I was totally resentful of people i work wtih, feeling used and bitter. That changed at some point... I remeber that time, I was just looking at the woman whom I hated (also named the Bitch) the most while she was giving a presentation made up mostly of my ideas that she and my boss have stolen while I was sweating blood trying to do the work and writing in my notebook everything I had against her, every name, every rant (luckily, not in a language she can read, but she wouldn't get her hands on that notebook anyway). At some point during her talk, everything shifted for me, I saw her as she really was, a weak, obsessivly driven, haunted person who will never relax and never be satisfied - otherwise why steal people's ideas. I saw how her whole prestige was based on manipulation, and how insecure and defensive she was. All the hate and anger left my body, I still resent when she asks something of me but I just play the game, smile, look cooperative and let it slide off me like water off a duck's back... it's really changed my perspective, cos I used to lie awake gritting my teeth about those people, but I havent done that in a long while and hope I won't.
Tendai, it's the weekend already, somehow Friday flew past. Too bad I didn't get to with you a nice weekend, hope it will be a peaceful hassle free one at least.

It's more than a headache, I was barfing most of he night too. I had to wake up my roomie for an IB 800 to knock out the headache. I called my clinic nurse and she said I prolly picked up a bug but from where? I haven't been anywhere but to freaking doctors appointments. I feel tired and frustrated but what else is new. Wish, I have been saying for a long time I need a vacation but I guess no one believes me or that I'm just talking shit. I am still not in the best of moods and did I mention that the postal money order I sent my son has now ended up lost somewhere. Yeah, I called the jail and the post office. The jail said they never got it and the post office says I have to wait 60 days to see if it comes back to me and that they can't track it cause I didn't put insurance on it, WTF!!!! So, someone has my money order and it pisses me off to no ends because I actually scraped to come up with the money to send my son. My thoughts are either someone at the jail or the post office has it because they are the only ones who could cash it in. So add that tidbit to my list of frustrations that is just pushing me a little bit further to the edge.
All this stuff has me to the point that I am not saying much to anyone, not blogging or anything. I hate to consider myself as whining but what the fuck. I feel like if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. So if you don't see me post much after this then you know why. I just want to crawl in a hole and disappear. And everytime I think about it all, it just brings me to tears. I guess it's bye for now. I'll be lurking but not saying much because I feel I am out of words.

I didn't get my stimulus payment either, there's no record of it on the IRS's website, and when I called them (IRS) I couldn't get through (too many calls). Which I figured. I'm sure they're swamped with calls, and probably will be for awhile. It's just so damn frustrating.

When I went to my doctor's yesterday, there was a 4-year resident there who was doing the exams and ordering the labs. So, when I went to get my labs today, she wasn't in their system. Then, she ordered one of the tests wrong. It's for the viral load. Anyway, next to the order, she wrote "ultrasound" instead of "ultrasensitive." So they couldn't figure that out. I told them it was for the viral load (god, I hope they got it right). Then the lab tech couldn't figure out how many and which color vials to use for the blood. So, from the time I went into the registration room until I left it was over an hour. Needless to say, I was livid. But, I just kept smiling and saying "it's alright." I did, however, send an informative e-mail to my doctor. I would hate for someone else getting their labs drawn to go through that. Of course, it might not bother someone else. I just woke up in a shitty mood and that didn't help.
I'm definitely going to take a nap today. Maybe that'll take some of the anger away. The guy I was seeing (and ended it with) sent me a pm this morning. He said he wanted to call me last night but "was in an extremely depressed mood." Well, boo hoo fuckin' hoo. He said he wants to call me soon "to hear my voice." Well, if he does, I feel sorry for him is all I can say. I don't know when the test for the herpes will come back, but if that's what it is, I will beat him with a bat (not really, I just want to). I don't have time for people who have problems but won't do anything about them but whine. Especially when their life is good compared to so many people I know. Oh well, I guess I just have to let it go. I should have insisted on condoms, so that's my fault. I know that. If he does have herpes, he wasn't having an outbreak when we screwed. He's just very annoying.

Just back from Mini's PID appointment. Her appointment was at 9am, we got there about 8:50am. We got in a room at 9:15am, ok, not that bad. A medical student FINALLY came in just after 10am. He asked all his mundane questions which I let Mini answer for herself. After a couple minutes of back and forth, she let out a very loud and exaggerated sigh and said, "Will you go get Dr. Moffett, you're boring." I had to cross my legs before I peed on myself! He gave me a desperate look like he wasn't sure what to do next. I just shrugged my shoulders. If he's going to work in peds, he'd better get used to working WITH peds. He asked a few more questions, which were answered with long, hefty sighs and rolling eyes. I tried hard not to laugh. He listened to her heart, looked in her nose, her ears, her eyes, her lungs, yadda yadda... He told Mini that he was going to get Doc, she never looked up from drawing and said, "It's about time."
Doc didn't come in until close to 11am. She didn't have both feet in the door before Mini let her have it about that "boring boy" in the white jacket and why he needed to keep asking her the same questions over and over. Then, if Doc asked her any of those questions, Mini would just tip her thumb and say, "ask him." I know as a good mum who is trying to raise her children to respect her elders, I should've put a stop to it, but, honestly, I was feeling the same way and, at least, it sounded much more innocent coming from a 7yr old.
10 minutes later, with a suggestion for a Hep-A shot, an appointment scheduled for September, and a lab sheet, we were walking out the door. Maybe I should start charging THEM rent - an inconveinance fee. 70 miles later, we're home. WHEW!
Drag: we try to do what we can ourselves because it's just too danged expensive to pay someone else to do it for us. For some very odd reason, our kids will eat veggies that they plant that they won't eat if we buy them from the store. They're odd, but whatever gets their veggies in them.
So far, nothing happening here. The girls and I are going to a mother's day luncheon tomorrow at our church, then off to another baseball game. For mother's day, oscar and the boys are BBQ-ing steaks and boneless/skinless chicken. My parents will come over for the afternoon. We have dance practise everyday next week, and our final concert is next Saturday at 6:30. I'll take some pictures of mini and our #4 and post them. They are so cute!

I am soo pissed right NOW!!!! this guy we are going to call him "Thad" became my friend especially when he found out I help run an up and coming media company here in Columbus. We talked about possibly doing a project for him and what he wanted and such. I let him know that the board would need to conversed on it and we would get back to him. Well I got sick i just got my voice back this week!! and My partners had family emergencies I let him know the status of the decision and he would begin to rush me and then basically sent me a scathing email and we hadn't even signed a contract with him. In the email he sent to me he said that I run my personal life reflects how I do business and from what he sees i do nothing but procrastinate and give excuses!! and he is a get it done type of guy who needs a get it done type of team and If he is wrong about my character I can show him by breaking procedure and and give him the producers number! I sent him back an email letting him know that I would have a decision by today. So he calls and berates me!! And I had to let him know that my partners decided not to do business with him after seeing the email he sent me in the first place. Thad now decides that he is now going to continues to insult me and the company as a whole because he did not get his way!!!

WTF about the money order, I have done them before quite a few times to dodgy places, via the post office using western union, they always told me if it doesnt get picked up within a week I can retrieve it. WTF do they mean, "lost"? either it gets picked up or it isnt. Hang in there Queen, sometimes you just gotta duck and wait. It is just painful for you lately what can I say(((Queen)))
Betty, kudos to you patience at the unit. I have done my fair share of complaining at mine, you've every right to. About herpes I am not 100% sure but I think it can still be trasmitted also with a condom. And I think if its not active, it cant be, but am not sure. Its not as preventable as HIV, I think. He reminds me of the poz guy I shagged before my BF, he was in denial about his sexual activities, when I found out I had a fit too... also he was in perfect health, money, etc but didn't really stop fretting (I know I mentioned someone like that before but those were 2 different guys, one with whom I had sex the other was just an aquiantance). But anyway after a while I calmed down and forgiven him, at the end of the day he didnt pass me anything but he very well could have, even though I begged him to be honest because I had aboout 90 T cells and I was scared of HPV and herpes. I forgave him cos I realized that he was weak and unhappy... I hope your weekend turns out ok. that's hard when you're itching - but anyway.

My bff called me about 3:00 and was in a bitchy mood herself, so we had a bitch session for an hour and 1/2. I really needed to. She invited me to go with her to one of her co-worker's graduation party tomorrow (the girl got her master's). So, that'll give me something to do tomorrow. She also invited me to a cookout at her brother's Sunday. I told her I'd go, but then I remembered that my grandkids are supposed to come over, so I don't know if I'll be able to. I had told my bff about how much I miss my mum, so I think she doesn't want me to be alone on Mother's Day. The pain is all too fresh.
I'm a bit calmer now. I still would just love to bitch someone out though. Maybe some stupid-ass will cross my path. I need to adopt more of a live and let live attitude I suppose when it comes to other people. But, when it comes to institutions fucking up, well, that gets on my nerves. I did get a letter in the mail that my apartment passed the housing inspection. So, that's some good news I guess. Still no stimulus payment though, and no information about it. I know the IRS is getting swamped with calls. I can only foresee disaster, but maybe I'm being too gloomy.

Queen, I just wanted to say that its really important you keep writing or at least blogging. dont shut yourself off just cos things are rough. let it out, whether here or with your friends. im like a cat and i always retreat to lick my wounds alone, but its not good, its isolating and makes life harder. i hope you feel better with the migraine/virus, there are so many bugs going around here too right now.
Betty glad things are calmer... you made me laugh with the "wish some poor fucker would get in my way" (indirect quote). I am fully distrustful of organizations too.
Mom when I said that you guys are like the Little House I meant it as a compliment. I am sure I could use training in how to save money, even if I am unable to grow my own food (no garden, and if I had one I'd kill off all the veggies like I killed my plants), I should learn to shop cheaper, its amazing how much you can save with a little planning.
I know this doesnt belong in this thread but I feel more confident expressing myself here - I have been thinking about the LTS vs. "normal" poz division. Reading the "how were you told" thread I came to one conclusion. The main difference between LTS and people like me is that no matter how low on Tcells people like me are (with the exception of very extreme cases of advances AIDS), we heard optimistic encouraging words: "you will have a normal lifespan", "you can carry one as normal", "you can have kids" - even if some of us had a very hard time believing them. LTSers have heard (or knew anyway) that they would die. That seam between the terminal and the chronic defintion of the disease is where the difference lies. The level of fear is simply incomparable, in most cases. Any thoughts?

I just read where the Duggars are going to have baby #18 on New Year's Day. Now there's a woman who could teach money management. I read that they live ina 7,000 square-foot house and are totally debt-free. Must be nice! All her kids do chores and the parents have NEVER raised their voices? Ok, not sure I believe that one. Mom always does seem happy and calm - maybe we should call HER doctor, Betty, and get a prescription for whatever she's on because it must be really good! :P
I got up this morning and colored my hair. Nothing too dramatic, just a nice warm brown. It looks really natural and is close to my hair color before I went bald in '91. My "new" natural color is a mix of dried-mud dull brownish ick and gray.
Nothing much going on today. The girls and I will go to the Mother's Day luncheon in a bit. After, I'll come home and do laundry (YEAH! :-\) Then, I have a couple of closets that need cleaned and the baseboards need dusted. YIPEE!
School is officially over for us. We do work on things during the summer, though. They have workbooks and reading books that they work on starting the 2nd week of June, so they have a couple of weeks off. We work mainly on skills that they have had problems with - like math, reading, comprehension, and writing. They also pick a project that they want to learn like sewing, needle work, wood working, and cooking. #5 has asked if he can learn to read over the summer, so that's the project he'll work on. OK, Drag, I'm going to fetch my bonnet and apron...LOL.

I hope it's not, I'd hate to have to beat a shithead down cause he did you like that.!!!!!. I am usually feeling violent, I just don't normally act on it. Queen, that is fucked up about the money order. When I send my oldest anything, I put his Id number on both the envelope and the money order. I imagine you knew to do that but just in case you didn't try that next time. Mum, your mini is one in a million. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall at that appointment. Gotta go. Drag, yes, I remember being diagnosed in '89, but it was in a treatment center, and they had no doctor in there that could give me all the info or run the necessary tests. So, when I got out and got into see the doctor that saw the majority of HIV patients in my area, he basically told me that there wasn't any "cure," so to just live out the rest of my days yadda yadda. I did go to school in '89 and got a degree in executive medical assisting, and even worked for a few years in medical transcription. The doctor I was seeing for my HIV was actually one of the doctors I transcribed for. So, I learned a lot just by him dictating on all of his HIV patients. And it was downright scarey. I also remember all the "cures" that came out back then. In particular, I remember books by Louise Hay. My best friend at the time (who was a woman with AIDS) used to tout those books around and practice everything Ms. Hay suggested. She (my friend) died a couple years later. I also remember when my ASO was in a church office (long before case managers etc.) and they used to have people come through every once in awhile with "miracles," most of which consisted of continual colon cleansing etc. When I went through the bout of wasting and had Hospice, I'm just glad I was seeing a doctor who wouldn't give up (and a mum). It was a miracle I pulled through that, but all of the LTS's on here have amazing stories. I don't want to go on and on. There is a huge difference between then and now, that's for sure.
Mum, school's over, aye? I'm sure your kiddos will keep you busy all summer. You know, I really don't know if I have a lot of grey or not, since I bleach my hair every month. It's been a long, long time since I had my hair natural.
Cristy, take care of yourself and that cold. If it gets too bad, see the doctor so it doesn't turn into something nasty. This isn't a continuation of the cold you had earlier on, is it?
I have nothing exciting planned today other than going to my bff's friend's graduation party. I'm a bit down about tomorrow (mother's day) and not having my mum. I know I talked about it before, but it doesn't stop hurting. I even cried for a bit the other day. I so wish she was still here. I guess as we get older, it's a fact of life that we all go through losing our parents.

I guess it is just too hard for me not to say anything... ;D I am known for trying to have the last word especially when I feel I am right about something though this is not the case here. I am writing because I don't want you guys to be worrying about me. Another night of barfing, this time I woke up around 5:45 this morning, ran to the bathroom just in time. I don't think I have a bug but it is more my nerves with everything going on around me. I don't even look forward to Mother's Day for obvious reasons. Last night I was shaking uncontrollably but I guess that was my nerves too.
I was trying to be quiet and not say anything because all I have been doing lately is bitching and whining. Frankly, I am getting tired of bitching and whining so I know you ladies are tired of hearing it, that's why I have not been saying anything at all and just reading. And I am in a very foul mood.
Still no stimulus check but my gay bf got his yesterday by direct deposit and his last two numbers are 27. So am I to assume that is far as the IRS has gotten? I don't know why they even made a schedule if they are not following it because I have not gotten a letter from them saying I wasn't going to get it. It would've been a nice surprise to wake up and see it in my account.
I have gotten a laugh from you ladies, thanks for that. I just feel like I want to fuck something up. I haven't written anything in my blog because I am at a loss for words right now. I have thought of things to write about but lost the urge to write them I suppose.

Queen, I for one am not tired of hearing of what you have to say. I do my share of bitching. You're going through an extremely hard time. We're here for ya, you know that. I have not received my stimulus check either. And when I check the IRS website, it says it has no information about it. WTF is that about? I hope that doesn't mean I'm not getting one. This whole thing has me nervous. I sure would like to get it. I had it direct deposit also, so what's taking so long? Unless they got more backlogged than they thought they were going to get. Like I said before, I will call those fuckers. I want my damn money!
Snow, I think I'll like volunteering also. I have to do something other than just sit around. I can't stand that. I get edgy.
Well, I went to my bff's friend's graduation party. It was alright. There were chicken fajitas, veggies with dip, and fruit that had a chocolate fountain where you could collect some chocolate to dip the fruit in. That made it all worthwhile.
Then we went to an NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meeting tonight. There was a guy there who had previously been clean, who now has 9 days clean and lost his 5-year old son due to his addiction. He's living in the big homeless center here. There was also a young couple there who are desperately trying to stay away from IV drug use. The girl's arms are all scarred up, and she's waiting for them to heal over. I remember that well. Ugh.
Other than that, nothing new. My grandkids are supposed to come over sometime tomorrow afternoon. Then I can give my grandson his b.d. present. I got him a couple coloring books and some crayons. I hope he likes them. Have a good night ladies.

Mom i didnt think you had taken offence but I guess I was aware its not a lifestyle choice for you but a necessity to do everything on your own. still a lot of people would not be as tough and determined. personally i wonder if I had a choice between doing everything myself or being in debt, hungry etc if I would have the stamina to live such an independent, "pioneer" life. Of course 50 years ago it would be completely normal, my dad grew up with chickens in the yard and ice bought in a cart pulled by a horse for the icebox (early fridge)... oh how the world changed...
Betty sounds like a nice party, and today the kids... NA is tough with having to see people relapse, but also a reminder. It's so scary.
Cristy 12 hours waitressing sounds plenty!!! 12 hours at work makes me dizzy and doesnt involve anything physical or any stress asides from my inner one...

I have a bit of a sore throat but will go to the lake anyway, its such a nice day.
I have been feeling sentimental, crying a bit, reading about peoples experiences with the first decade of HIV (those who lived to recall it) in my country (isra el - please note the gap, dont want to be searched here, have revealed info that can identify me, learned that trick of dividing a word you dont want to be searched from Snow). There are only about 5 openly out poz people there (outed in the media that is). One of them is a woman. I dont know where these people take the courage. It's a mixture of homesickness, not so much for home but for my culture... and some very obvious truths that were staring at me in the face that I didn't see.
People are incredible, amazingly adaptable and resilient creatures. Thank God.

Good Morning! Well, I read the post everyday but I don't always have time to post and that makes it hard for me to respond and keep up. I need to get better at that...
I don't remember who asked me about their 14yr old and motivation but that is a hard one. That is a tough age and I am not sure what really motivates teenagers to do what they do. What about the friends? Are they of like mind? I know at this age the rely more on what their peers think and say then there parents.
Queen-I am sorry about all the mess you are dealing with. I know you talked about going to therapy before...have you continued that? I know it has really helped me.
Betty- Herpes huh? That totally sucks! I hope it isn't that. My Mr. Wonderful gave me that gift too. I had no idea he had it. I will tell you this though, the pain of the initial outbreak is soooo bad. My doctor gave me pain medication to deal with it. It lasted for about 2 weeks. Shortly after that I was diagnosed with HIV. I hope that is not what you have.
Mum-Your kids are homeschooled right? How does that work with grades and stuff? Do you just teach according to their level or are they in "grades"?
If there is anyone else I forgot to respond to I am sorry. Today I am going to church with my grandmother and mom. Usually my mom and grandma cook the lunch so today I am providing it. I went to Marie Callendars and bought a family meal and a pie. That way no one has to cook! I hope all you mothers have a great day! My sister got a text from one of her friends that I thought was funny. It is for all the ladies w/out kids..."Congratulations for making it through another year without getting pregnant" Of course my sister is 18 so that is a good thing!

Yep. It sure does have a funky smell compared to its taste. I like almost anything, but the combo of the durian's pudding mushy texture and firm texture is odd for me.

Queen, I'm so glad you aren't puking. I didn't get my stimulus check either. There is some 800 number you can call to check on the status of the payment. It's all recorded though, so you don't actually get to talk to a live person. If it's not in my bank account tomorrow, and the recording still says there's no information about it, I'm calling the IRS directly. I just hope I can get through.
Well, my grandkids were supposed to come over today, but the "mother" called me and told me that my grandson has bronchitis. So, I told her I'd drop off his b.d. present one night this week. My daughter called me today to tell me happy mother's day, which totally floored me. She's not real big on calling people, even on "special" days. So, that made me happy. We talked for quite awhile. She might be flying back here the 2nd week of October. I hope so. I really miss her.
Nothing else to report. My day was uneventful. I took a long nap. Well, my brother is here. We're going to watch some more of "The Wire." Talk to you later ladies.

Viv: I don't give "grades". When they know it, we move on. If they aren't getting it one way, we try another way. Most of our work is "real world" stuff and not very much is on paper, per se. I don't really go by school grades, either. I know what grade they would be in if they were in the school system, but we work where they are and move on from there. But, for things like sports teams, and Sunday School, we go by the grade they "would" be in. For the most part, they are in different "grades" for each subject. We also have to buy all of their curriculum.
In our state, I'm allowed to keep a portfolio of their work and stuff that we do. I send a letter to the school board by June 30th signed by a certified teacher (of our choice). No one else sees the portfolio but us and the teacher signing the letter. The letter is about 4 sentences long and doesn't go into a whole lot of detail. For our benefit, we also keep a team of lawyers on retainer who specialize in homeschool laws. I turn in our "intent to homeschool" for the next year at the same time, although the law is that it must be sent 2wks before the 1st day of school. I just find it easier to turn it all in at once.
I hope everyone had a wonderful day today. I didn't do much of anything, which means that I have twice as much to do tomorrow. We're watching "Mr. Holland's Opus" - one of the best movies EVER made, in my opinion. We watched "No country for old men" and it was one of the WORST movies ever made - right up there "Water World". The other day, we rented "Charlie Wilson's War" and it was GREAT! I highly recommend it. I can't wait for the new "Narnia" movie to come out.

checking in to wish our Queen the best of luck with the checkups. there's definatley a barfing virus going round, 2 of my friends have it. normally we wouldnt get the same bugs here and in the US, but now i think they are simultaneous b/c of the airtravel. hugs & strength to you, Queen.
its Monday but I have the day off for pentacost. before I moved to NL I had no idea about those holidays. anyway I am not doing much, but I should be, gotta work. the lake was great - wish i could spend all my days like this, just chilling in the fresh air. the water's frozen so i didnt go in but i did sunbathe and play raquetball. normally, i would be very embarassed and self conscious to appear in a bathing suit as i look now. somehow, at that particular time and place, i wasnt. its nice to have a relief from the critical voices in my head from time to time. i always hear men criticizing women after a certain age of being too fat, etc. i mean, even women who'd had children. and that is when those men themselves are not greek gods in the least (and if they are, so?). if they only knew how critical and miserable most women are in the heads anyway. even great looking ones. it almost doesnt matter what you look like, the thoughts are the same rubbish. not to say that i look my best now - but even when i look back at times that i really did look good, i didnt half enjoy it with all that body image crap, so whats the point?
Em, I finished 2/3 of my durian (it was bits not the whole thing), its an aquired taste but unlike most things that are such is pretty harmless, although they say in Thailand if you eat too much of it you'd get a fever. it does stink to high heaven though.
I will look out for that movie Mom, I'm guessing its an oldie, and I have access to a lot of classics here.
Betty you made the healthy choice ;). I made fried chicken in panco crumbs (very large breadcrumbs) and lemon sauce and rice. fried chicken is the last thing i need. Good luck with the volunteering, I'm sure you'd be great. I wish there was someone like you working in an ASO here, the 2 times I called I got these detached sounding men, they were nice enough, but when you call for help and you get a polite but impatient stranger, it leaves you feeling worse.
Viv I must admit I am not a fan of Mr W in the least... glad you had a good time with mom & gran. I miss that too, hanging with my mom. imagine seeing your mom 2-3 times a year, in the past 6 years :(. my grandparents are all dead.

Mum, I have to respectfully disagree with you on your take of "No Country for Old Men." I believe it was an extremely well-made movie. You do know it won the Academy Award for best picture of the year don't you? I do agree with you on "Mr. Holland's Opus." It was a good movie also.
Drag, tomorrow is when I start volunteering. I'm looking forward to it. It'll get me out of the house. About those men who critisize women, well, they can all just kiss my ass as far as I'm concerned. I know I could be in a lot better shape, but I really don't care what other people think about what I look like. I don't have a bathing suit-haven't owned one in years. I don't go to the beach, but just because I can't stand just sitting around, I get too bored. I know most men prefer women who are petite, weigh about 50 lbs etc. I don't know a lot of men who can look beyond physical appearances. Women just need to quit being so self-conscious about it. Because as long as they are (self-conscious), they'll keep feeding into men's perception of "the perfect woman."

Well, I spent the last two hours (no exageration) on the phone with the IRS. I was mostly on hold, so I'm pretty irritated right now. And I was transferred five times. I couldn't remember when I filed my 2007 tax return (I worked for a month and 1/2 last year) if I included my social security income. Because if I didn't I would have to refile. Anyways, I finally got transferred to someone who could actually give me an answer. He told me that, for some reason he couldn't explain, even though my 2007 tax refund was directly-deposited, my stimulus check won't be. I won't get it until the end of July-they're mailing it. I have a bad headache right now, but I guess at least I got an answer. I foresaw disaster with this whole stimulus payment thing. So much for having extra money this month. Oh well, whacha gonna do. It's very disappointing, but I have to keep telling myself that this is beyond my control. That way, hopefully I won't be stewing for too long. I know there are people with far worse problems than I have.

Afternoon Ladies----
Yesterday was a drag. I went to the lung specialist today and he says he is surprised that the scan even picked up the nodule on my lung. It is that small and he doesn't feel it is cancer. He says at this point all he can do is monitor it for about 2 years by doing scans every 4 months to see if it gets any bigger. I called back to the liver specialist and the MRI confirms that I have a lesion on my liver but now they want me to go to either Pittsburgh or Cleavland depending on which will accept my insurance and have them look at it. Now for me to be traveling to either of these places, I am thinking it must be serious. I have to wait to see which one will take me. But that still leaves the question of how am I going to get there. The car is still not up and running yet. And I can't depend on my friend who takes me to all my appointments in town to take me there, that is a bit of gas. If I had my own car running, I would drive myself there but you know the story with that.
Betty- What was that IRS number? I called the one I saw on their site which asked me questions of when I mailed in the stimulus, the amount, and my social but I get the same response as when I visit the site. They don't have any information which pisses me off cause I mailed my rent rebate the same time as I did my stimulus and when I call the rebate hotline they say they received it. So, I know the IRS has received my stimulus information.
I swear it all is so frustrating....

Happy Belated Mothers Day! For those that don't already know we had a bad Tornado hit Mothers Day!The worst in 50 years! early about 5am. No electricity till today.I had to stay with my grnadkids who were scared to death! We had hail the size of golf balls! everthing is a mess,schools closed today and they have a curfew in the whole city of Macon.(Georgia)They have declared it a national disaster. I had just flown in from Va beach Sat.nite and all hell broke loose.Thankful my family was well and not to many people hurt.One man died when his trailer home was picked up and slamed into a tree by the tornado! Very sad, his wife survived but is in criticle condition. I am very tired and have not had much sleep, just returned home, I have a headache and have not even taken my meds! in days. so I will be trying to get things back to normal here at my apartment. I really don't see a solution, not to sound like the voice of doom but just being realistic. I have tried contacting the IRS to no avail. Both Cleavland and Pittsburgh is about an hour and half away from me but there is no public transport that would take me there. And if I ventured on a grayhound, not sure how far bus station is from hospitals. I am going to call my ASO to see if they can do anything but not really holding my breath.

Queen, the IRS phone number I called that I actually got a live person on was their main number which is 800-829-1040. I had to navigate a bit to get a live person. And most of the two hours I spent on the phone was on hold. But, I'm glad I did call. I'm so, so sorry to hear about you needing to go to another city to see a specialist about your liver. It seems like there would be something closer (anything). I hope your ASO can help you out. They have to do something if you can't find a ride. The whole system, medical, government, welfare etc. is so damn frustrating. You keep hanging in there. I'm here for ya, seriously.

I know that's such a personal decision, but being a long term survivor myself, I know how important it is to stay on the meds. The alternatives are so much worse, as you know.
Nothing else significant happened today. It was actually sunny here today. Tomorrow I start volunteering at the ASO, so wish me luck.

Betty: I knew it won an award, but didn't know it was for best movie. I couldn't even figure out what it was about. I get it that a man found the drugs and ran and some group of people (Mexicans) were after him and so was this other scarey looking man but another group sent Woody to go kill the bad guy who was trying to kill the other guy. And then the scary guy kills everybody but the theif, but he kills the thief's wife after her mommy died (the same day?). Then scary man gets hit by a car and gets a broken arm? I totally missed the whole point of the movie: if you find drugs and money in the desert don't take it?
Queen: yes, the system sucks. We have no idea when we'll get our stimulus check. We thought it would be direct deposited May 16th, but now we think they'll mail it in July. Who knows? I don't want to know anything about it. It'll go in and out the same day to pay bills. So, I'll do what any other blue-blooded American would do - I'm going to eat chocolate ;D

Queen, when you call the number and it gives you options to choose from, I think I chose something like "I need help filing my tax return." Just something I really didn't need, but I figured that choice would be the best bet to get connected to a live person. It's quite the navigation to try to get a live person though. I was on the phone for a total of two hours and I think the time I actually spent talking to live people was probably about 10 minutes. So, the rest of that time was spent on hold. I also called at 8:00 in the morning, because I'm sure as the day goes on they get much busier. Oh, and I was transferred about four different times to people who couldn't give me an answer. Finally, someone transferred me to someone in accounting. They were the ones who told me mine would be mailed in July. Good luck.

Betty- I hope you have a good day volunteering today, I am sure you will meet some interesting people. My soc ends in 07 and I thought I would get my payment on the 9th but when I didn't, I went to the website and it said the 16th and yesterday I got a thing in the mail that I should get it by the 16th and how much it will be?
Queen- Glad you got some good news but I wish someone would tell you what they are thinking about your liver. Can you see what your options are as far as getting there? How much for the train, bus? No one on the forum lives in that area? I would think the ASO would pay for it definately, but if not lets ask for donations from the forum. People are sending in money to go to Mexico, this is important, we need to get you there so you can find out what is going on. I still have a couple of necklaces left, I can see if I can sell them and send you the money. Let's pool our resources, GF!!!! How are the kitties?
Drag- The durian sounds interesting! Smells gross but tastes almondy? The pics of it, when they are younger remind me of little penises with green balls ;D Is it really that expensive for one fruit? 12 to 24 bucks something like that. I never had good body image either but I have to get a bathing suit this year so I can swim with the kiddos.
Mum- Homeschooling sounds very interesting, I don't think I would have the patience for it though. Next year everyone will finally go to the same school so if gas prices are too bad I can walk them or stick them all on my bike w/trailer.

Good morning. Queen, very sorry to hear that you will have to travel to another city to see a specialist. I hope that it's not serious and that there are just better doctors where they want you to go. Betty, hope your first day volunteering is a great one I hope you ladies get everything worked out with your stimulus checks. It seems very complicated to me. Mum, you are officially my hero. I find one child,that goes to public school. to be trying at times and you deal with several. Glad your kids will eat the veggies. We always have a garden,Dad plants, we pick, moms processes and picks. It keeps us in veggies over the winter. Robert will eat most of what we put in front of him and ask for more. Snow, hope your son does well on his tests. Anyway, worked 10 hours straight through Sunday. It was a madhouse but the seating and serving went as smoothly as could be hoped for. I didn't work the final part, I just stayed and helped cleanup. I have had a cold this weekend, It started on Friday and by Sunday at 4:00 , I thought I was going to fall out. Monday I felt better, went to have blood drawn. I met this guy off the personals at the clinic, we had discussed it before hand. He is not THE ONE but a nice guy that I could maybe hang out with or have "a little fun" with. Em , hope everything is going well in your life and household. Dragonette, I read about the Durian. Netta- must've been scary with the tornado. i've seen films of crazy scientists and people chasing tornadoes and filming them, crazy crazy crazy. there was a movie that was screened on tv but i fell asleep before it came on. in the previews there was this guy saying "we have to stop it" and i'm laughing my ass off thinking 'yeah right how does he think he can stop a tornado'. anyway i'm relieved u and yours are all okay. shame about the guy who died though.

im so premenstrual right now, i'm barely keeping myself in check. and so hungry! all i can think of is getting home and swamping myself with food food food. how i long for the days when u could just walk into a shop and buy whatever u want as long as your pocket allowed it. now even if u have the money there might not be anything to buy or its too ridiculously expensive that u decide its better to go home and cook whatever is there instead of buying a quick snack in town.

ugh, i have this aunt. she was married about 2 years ago to this guy , pompous jerk with a Napoleon complex. they built a house etc and had a kid together right, then this jerk decides to go out and impregnate this college girl. after A LOT OF SHIT they got divorced, sold the house, she took her daughter and he went to live with his new wife. so my aunt built a new house, she finished it a few months ago and now theres only little things like the ceiling to finish off. so anyway this jerk starts worming his way back into her life saying he misses her and their daughter what what. ok my aunt used her share of the house money to buy a new stand(piece of land to build property) and she built that house on her own (with the help of a few boyfriends of course). meanwhile the jerk is living in a single room, his wife had a difficult birth, premature baby and huge hospital bills which required him to sell his car etc. lets just things are going really bad for him and he has a sick father or uncle or something whose really sick and they cant afford to pay for the scans blood tests etc etc. and there my aunt is, doing deals at work which give her lots of cash, running her little black market of groceries at home and receiving money from abroad and generally doing very well for herself. so now this man wants to come back coz he's so broke and his marriage is unhappy. when we talked with her about it shed be like "oh i dont want him back" then it was "children need their fathers", then it was "i'll only take him back if he does all the required procedures etc" (thats going to my uncles and formally asking for forgiveness for dumping her and paying any 'fines' that may be charged). Ha! Last night we heard he's back living in HER HOUSE full time! im so disgusted. my sister said its like going to the sewage and eating your own shit. after all that man put her through! she lost weight and looked like she was on her way out we got worrried about her. i guess she missed getting laid every night. we'll just sit back and watch as the drama unfolds. coz there will be drama. all those relatives of his will descend on her house and bleed her dry i bet u. i dont think she realises what she's getting herself into. i think they see dollar signs when they look at her. and the other wives? think they'll just take it lying down? i dont think so. we'll just wait and see. this ought to be interesting....give us more things to gossip about with my sisters. we've already assigned the little one who lives close to her to keep an eye out and keep us informed

Snow, is that the ISTEP test your son is taking? I remember when my daughter was in school and she had to take those tests, I would make her eat oatmeal and toast with peanut butter. I was supposed to get my check directly-deposited on the 16th, but I guess that's not happening. Whatever. I knew this (stimulus payment) would not run smoothly.
Cristy, I sure hope your cold clears up. And tell us more about this new guy! That's exciting.
Tendai, I don't know why it is some women feel like they "need" a man. Your aunt sounds like she was doing so good. I hope she doesn't get taken for everything she's got.
I'm looking forward to volunteering today. It gets me out of the house, and out of myself. The guy who might have given me herpes or something (the results aren't back yet) called last night. It was all I could do to say two words to him. He's always on this "poor me" trip. And his life really isn't too bad, so it nauseates me when he does that. Of course, I don't react to it at all. When he starts in on that, I don't say anything to him. I think he wants me to invite him down for another weekend, but that's not happening. Not again. If that test comes back positive for herpes, even though I know it's 1/2 my fault, I will rip him a new one.

With that movie, it's about the dangers of letting greed into your life. No one makes movies about the dangers of not having money though, unless there's a happy end like in the Pursuit of Happiness.

I didn't think the durian would draw so mush attention, I am quite touched actually... anyway it's a kind of very smelly, soft fruit from south east asia which has a very thick spikey skin and therefore kind of ferments on itself, and gets real smelly and gooey. But it is the "king of fruits" and many Asians are crazy about it. B/c it is that way it's prohibited from a bunch of places also trains, planes etc. so i was excited to find it here, frozen. I was getting my BF ready for the exotic delicacy as we waited for it to defrost, mind you each piece was individually wrapped in cling film and then put in a plastic box which was again wrapped, as the smell started to waft thru the house before I have even unwrapped it he changed his mind about wanting to try it. More for me then.. :P
I am having a minor migraine - meeting with boss, way too many things are work and its not like Im being paid extra (course not, as I am not officially a worker). I found the whole tax debt thing completely demotivating but at the same time I will have to work extra b/c I must make sure the next job will not put me in such a compromising position and that there is one, in fact...

Well, just to add a little drama before I go to the ASO.......
I checked on the IRS website about the refund and it said that I wasn't eligible because I didn't make enough money. So, my initial fear was true...I forgot to include my SSDI income when I filed the 1040 in January. So, now I have to refile. Where the IRS agent yesterday got that I would be receiving a check in July, I have no idea. So, who knows when I'll be receiving the stimulus payment. If I do get one. :-\

Just thought I would chime in since I have been kind of quiet. I have been in a bitchy mood lately but I think I am getting over it. Not much going on with me, I blogged last night, took pics of the kitties. I like my avy with Lucifer, he really looks like he is saying what I wrote. I am still playing around with the cam I bought for 20 bucks but it takes pretty good pics too. I can also do video with it..*calling Wini, the Video Queen*.. I want to do some vids of the cats playing.

I have given up hope on the stimulus, it's so fucking complicated, if it comes, it comes. I know my rent rebate is a definite. I called the Section 8 office to see what the hell they are doing. I am so ready to move out of here. I got the spiel, you had your interview, we'll be sending you a letter and then she confirmed my address. Ugh. Someone asked how the kittens were, well, I have been trying to take pics of them but they are not co-operating much. Here some I took a few minutes ago.

Queen, those kitties are sooo adorable. I don't know the results of the herpes test yet, but when I got home from the ASO today, I had a message from the doc's office to call them. Of course, they were closed when I got home, so tomorrow I'll see what they wanted. That call has me wondering if it's the results. Yes, if it is a positive result, that fucker will have a new asshole. ;) Of course, he might like that, who knows.
Well, the volunteering went well. Someone got banned for threatening to bring in a gun (intimidation). I got to learn their phone system, how to lock up, stuff like that. I get along with all the case managers; I already knew most of them. So, it was a good day.
About the stimulus payment, it's just too aggravating to think about too much. Those fuckers at the IRS don't seem to know what they're doing. Hell, I could probably do a better job. I'm like you, Queen. If I get it, I get it. I'm not holding my breath. When it comes to anything the government does, I just sit here in bewilderment. I knew when Bush put this stimulus thing out there it could only spell disaster for a lot of folks. Anything that comes from Dubya has dark shadows looming.

Wish- Is she doing ok in school or has she really dropped down? Sometimes it helps to find something they are interested in to get them motivated. Is there a particular subject she likes?
Well we are getting closer to the end of the year and the kids are really showing it. These last 2 days have been the worst all year. Today I wanted to cry and tear my hair out. They just are not following directions and some seemed to have stopped doing work. UGH! The kids are dismissed at 2:15 and at 2:30 I shut my light off and my partner teacher asked where I was going and told her I am going to the office to do some filing so I can not think...bad day! On top of that today was my day with the therapist and I just did not want to be there. I came home, gave the dog a bath, ate dinner, checked email, and am now going to get into the shower and go to bed early...tomorrow is another day! Take care everyone!! :) :) :)

Viv, I know you're counting down the days until school is over for you. The kids are probably getting anxious to be out of school also. No, that doesn't excuse their behavior. I hope they act better for ya these last few days. I couldn't handle being a teacher and I think good teachers are truly a blessing.
Tendai, oh, I'm sure your aunt is paying the bills. And what you said about the ex's family is coming true, isn't it. They're all going to try their hands at your aunt. Try to keep your head, although it must be really hard.
Last night, when I was looking at my appointment book, I noticed I'm supposed to have an appointment today at 9:30 with a psychiatrist. I had totally forgotten about it. So, I think I'm going to change it. My doctor told me, given my history (addiction, etc.), he wanted me to see a psychiatrist for a consult on what antidepressant to use. I don't even want to go see one; it would mean I would have to vomit out my whole psych history. I've done that so many times, you'd think it would be 2nd nature. But, I hate to go over things again and again. So, I might either change it or just cancel it.
Today is another day at my ASO. I don't have to be there until 1:00. My doctor's office doesn't open today until 1:00, so I'll call them when I get to the ASO to see what they wanted yesterday when they left a message. They might have made me an appointment for a mammogram; it's been over a year since I had the last one, and when I had it they had to do a needle biopsy on a lump that was in my right breast. It turned out to be benign, but I never went back for a follow-up mammogram and I informed the nurse when I went in for my pap of this. So, it's either that or they have the results of my herpes test (ugh). It was the receptionist that left the message, and I'm thinking that if it was about the herpes test, it would seem that the nurse would be calling. So, who knows.

Hello ladies. Been a busy day so far and it's not over yet. Queen, love the pictures of the kittens. Sweet Girl miscarried hers and has been walking around screaming for 3 days. I guess even cats get upset about stuff like that. Betty, hope it's good news from the doctors office. My oldest son got tried yesterday. He will do 5 years total. Much better than the 15 years we expected but still very upsetting. He will be 24 when he gets out. Maybe he will stop and think before he fucks up again. Robert came home with a boil on his arm. It might have been there yesterday but I don't know, I only saw him before school, 5 minutes between shifts and after he was asleep.. I drained it and hopefully it will heal. If not, he has an appointment Monday for his yearly physical. Gotta go get my medicine. Hope everyone is having a good day. TTYL. Cristy

Well, it was not good news at all from the doc's. The herpes screen came back positive. So, now the doc wants me back on Acyclovir. I will spend the next few days composing an e-mail to the fucker. I don't want to shoot off one done in haste out of raw anger. But, he will get his. I'd like to just post it in "living with," but of course I'll refrain. If only he were here, I would definitely kick his white-trash mother-fucking ass. I mean, I know, condoms. But for heaven's sake, if one has something like herpes, don't you think one would say something? (no, he wasn't having an outbreak). Now I know why his wife won't fuck him. Well, that amongst other reasons.
I called my doc's from the ASO and I've been fuming ever since. I haven't talked to anyone about it yet. My bff is at work, but I'll call her in a couple hours. My gay bff is probably at the Y, but I e-mail him every day, so he'll know later as well. I sure would like to post something about this, but I don't dare. Anyway.....
Cristy, I hope Robert's arm is better. I'm so sorry about your older son. While I know he did it to himself, it's still got to be heart-wrenching.

Not much going on with me. I woke to cat crap on my laptop, literally. Queen Nefertiti has been in a mood all day. She is usually quiet and tends to the kittens but today she has been meowing her ass off. I also cooked pigs in a blanket today, it was banging. Tomorrow I'll probably cook some stuffed peppers.
Betty-- Sorry about the results but boy do I feel sorry for you know who. If I could be a fly on the wall. But it is best that you don't post it here, would hate to see you get a time out. But you know where you can vent, gf.
Christy- Sorry about Sweet Girl's miscarriage, Nef lost two of her kittens while delivering. Glad your son didn't get much time, my son's hearing is tomorrow too. I won't be going but I wrote him a letter and explained why. I'll call his gf tomorrow and find out what happened. But he may end up in the hole because he was beefing with someone. I still don't think he learned anything from hearing about that.

I just had to rest last weekend, and when I got to the computer, the pages wouldn't load. Work has been a bitch, so much so that I called my recruiter yesterday and said I was looking for a new job. He is keeping an eye out for me. "Same bitches, different day." I figure if they don't care about their work, neither do I, well not as much, but its hard for me not to care. Ugh, I dunno.
I figured out that its costing me $14 a day in gas to go to work, not including docs appts and weekend miles. Its crazy. I am going on a banana diet because they are the cheapest food around. I can't afford anything else, I keep taking leftovers from work, but thats not always reliable, or healthy.
I went back to my chiropractor after 2 weeks and was feeling pretty good, then this morning I was loopy-loo driving to work. Chiro doesn't want to see me for 3 weeks, which is fine, I can't afford it, because......
I need a new roof. I knew this day was coming, my roof is 20 years old and has had a few patch jobs before, but the wind hits it hard in the back. We got a ton of rain here Sunday night and by 10pm I had water spots all over the ceiling in the spare bedroom. Thank goodness the master bedroom is OK. I called five contractors on Monday, and called two back today. One finally got out to look at the roof and will be covering it tomorrow as a temp fix, cause more rain is coming. I hope to get an estimate by tomorrow.
I was so worn out Monday, stressing over the cost of a new roof, and Iceman offered to come see me and to look in my attic to check out the leaks. He has been so good to me. He visited last Weds, then Sunday night and Monday night. We were eating dinner Monday night and I could barely keep my head up, and he goes and says he'll pay for my roof. I started bawling, I am so used to being independent and settling for much less than what others have. No new clothes, not the best food to eat, no fancy hair-do/manicures/pedicures, I don't pamper myself at all. I told Ice I was going to put the roof on a credit card cause thats all I could do, and he insisted on paying. I don't know exactly what that means, if I pay him back or not, I am too tired to figure it all out until I get an estimate.
So, this man has been great, I keep telling you all that, but I really feel like things have changed for the better, like we're over the hump. Sunday he said he would be around for a long time, Monday he wants to help pay for the roof, he is very giving, and best of all, he is sincere.
I just keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, lol. I am hoping and praying that this is all real, that he and I will be OK, and that this sense of security is TRUE. I know things could be much worse.
So, I am waiting for a roof estimate, revamping my resume and......
Celebrating Cheech's "Centennial" tomorrow. Yep, nerdy numbers girl here has figured out that Cheech will be 100 in dog years tomorrow, lol. He was 14 on Feb. 2nd.
And yes, we are still getting haircuts next week on my day off of work, lol.
It was nice to read about all of you and to catch up. I am spent, and roof probs aside, I have no money cause its all going into my gas tank. I need a break already.
More when I have the chance and the energy. Yes, I'm still wobbling around, too.

Cristy, 5 years is a long time, but a lot of good changes can happen in that time. Hopefully your son will get his act together. I know what I say sounds kind of empty - if I was there I'd just give you a hug. Is there also time off for good behavoir in the states? Where I'm from they cut off a 1/3.
Betty - what can I say, I feel your pain too. Hope it clears up soon, is the pain any better? I dunno what I'd do, I'd be fuming that's for sure.
Cindy, don't they have travel costs as deductibles? you know once I watched a program on driving in the states, and they said they spend hundreds of millions trying to ensure that old drivers are still fit to drive (old as in 79 and older) b/c there is just no alternative. Is there no one coming from you area? can you car pull or something? driving aside you have to get them to reduce your workload or just slow down the pace yourself. Or look for something else but I would have that as a last option. sorry about your roof. I trust in Ice ;)

I've been in a funk b/c I have molloscum on my legs. i've had it before and it took years to clear up when my T-cells were getting higher, now it's back with a vengence. But before it was on my arms as well so I was so careful not to get it on my face, b/c it was also on my hands but now it's on my legs only but much worse than before, so I am upset, I have to use two towels, I'm also upset b/c there is no doctor or no one to go two, no one that will know what they're doing, and a specialist would take months to see. But anyway from the last time I remember that even a specailist says there was nothing to do. I am really terrified it climbs upwards.
Queen - glad you're chilling a bit.
Viv - kids can be surprising both ways, you never know how it will turn out... any news on next year? Durian is south east asian, they have a lot of fruit that are very hard to get in the West and i have spent a long time there so really miss that food. Lots of other stuff too.

I've been away from my room in the last days at a workshop, now I'll be back and it's piling up, which is why I'm writing this from home before work. about your aunt I just feel sorry for her really, but people look for what is known to them even if its crap, esp in such times of instability. have you talked to her at all?

Good morning my sweeties! I've just read and caught up with everyone about everything. This week has been nuts for us. We were in dress rehersal yesterday and again tonight and tomorrow night. The concert is on Saturday. This is the 1st year we'll only do one performance, usually we do 3. In a way I'm bummed about it, but in a way I'm glad. Mostly, I'm just tired.
The rain poured in yesterday and it got colder. On the way home from rehersal, I had to "run" into Walmart and get my inhaler. Not sure what's going on with the lungs, but it's getting old...FAST! I've been on Zertec since Monday. Doc said it was better to take it just before supper, so I take it at 4:30. Woke up this morning to my eyes watering and my nose running. >:( Duct tape and hot glue just won't hold me together like it used to.
Took the kids to see "Nim's Island" on Tuesday. It was an "easy", cute, family movie - nothing too deep or philisophical. We'll take them to see "Prince Caspian" in the next couple of weeks.

Cin: I know what you mean about gas. It costs us $16 to go to the grocery store. It would only cost $8 for all of us to ride the bus, but we'd have to drive into town to catch it. And, i can't figure out how to get 2wks of groceries (fills 2 carts) on and off the bus. Needless to say, we go into town 1x/wk.
Rain, rain, and more rain for the next several days. I'm getting tired of the cold and the rain. I just want to crawl back in bed and sleep until tonight. Somehow I just don't see that happening. #6's glasses came in yesterday. They are hillarious! I took a picture of her, and as soon as Hubby downloads it, I'll post it here.

Maybe they will both learn to behave so we don't have to deal with this . Dragonette, I am so sorry you have molloscum . I looked it up and think I had that when I was around 14. I picked at them and made them bleed. Hopefully they will not spread and you can hide it with long pants. Here in NC, my son will do at least 3/4 of his time. There is a law about it. But he can still get it reduced for good behavior and for taking classes and stuff like that. In his letters he says he is getting his GED, has signed up for classes and is staying out of trouble. Which is the best I can hope for. Moonlight, that man sounds like a keeper. I am sorry about your roof and fucked up job and vertigo, hopefully those things will get better. Ice sounds like he is trying to ease your stress and that is priceless. Mum, I am really worried about Roberts arm. We have had staph before and both of us had boils. This is poison ivy rash,I think, that he has scratched until it's become a boil. I drained it, with much screaming, and will just keep an eye on it. Since it started as poison ivy, I don't think it will spread but stay in that one spot and I don't think he can transfer it to other kids. It's in the crook of his arm too. If it doesn't get better, he has a yearly checkup Monday and I will mention it to the doctor. Glad #6 got her glasses. I wear glasses and must have them to see. Been wearing them since I was 11. Vivyt, I am glad school will be out soon cause I will have a valid reason to cut my work hours. It sounds selfish but I am so tired. Also I will get to spend more time with Robert. I think I will download some stuff for us to work on in the mornings so he doesn't forget what he has learned.. Anyway, time to get started, laundry, paperwork and housework await. I'm a bit calmer today. What can I do to change it? Nothing. Now, don't get me wrong, the guy will still be getting an e-mail from me, but I'm going to take a bit to compose myself so it's not a bunch of nasty (well, not too nasty) anger. But, as far as being in a tail-spin about it, I admit I was yesterday. Today things are better. I talked to my bff last night for about two hours. She and I have similar backgrounds (hooking, doing drugs) and I met her in NA in 1990. She's not HIV+, but she does have Hep C. I've had a couple relapses, but she got clean in 1988 and has maintained that (no, she never stopped talking to me or anything). And now she's a well-respected therapist. Anyway, we were joking about how we'd been STD-free for 19 years and then I had to go fuck it up. I guess you had to be there.
Cindy, I know how not having money goes. I cut my own hair, unless I get a student loan from my school. So, in all actuality, I only have my hair cut by a professional twice a year. Other than that, I cut it myself. I've never, ever had a pedicure or manicure. And most of my food comes from food banks (I thought your company provided lunch). I'm sorry you're having to adjust to this, but I feel ya. You're very fortunate to have Iceman.
Mum, it's been chilly here lately also and yesterday it rained all day. Have you gotten that rejection letter yet?
Cristy, again, I'm so sorry you're having to go through having your oldest son locked up. I know it's his responsibility, but it's still hard on you, I know. Hopefully he'll be changed by this and won't get in trouble anymore. And I hope Robert's arm is doing better.
Queen, maybe like Cristy said, cats go through post-partum depression also. Dunno. That must have been awful to wake up to cat crap that's not in the litterbox. I love stuffed peppers, by the way.
Drag, I'm sorry about that molluscum. I haven't heard of too many people who have it, well, at least since the early 90's. I can't say I really know much about it, but it sounds dreadful. How long does it take to clear?

She doesnt listen to me, to what i tell her to do or not to do....and i feel like i struggle too damn much to have her mouthing off to me whenever she feels like it...im so tired of that...i want to whoop her ass but the last time i did that she was 10 and i busted her nose so i havent hit her like that since....she doesnt want to do her work in school , she wants to be boy crazy, do what she wants when she wants to ...i feel like if she wants to be grown then get the fuck out of my house n be grown..but u wont disrespect me n my own shit..and her being disobediant is disrespectful to me..she hasnt cussed me or tried me or anything like that..she just dont do what i say and im sick of it..her lil brothers n sisters look up to her..n ill be damned if they follow n her footsteps....her teachers try n help but the more trouble sh egets into the more im looked at like the "bad" parent....this is really fucking with my head right now...My biggest fear has always been failing as a parent and having my kids repeat this vicious cycle ( i call a curse) that all the women in my family have gone through...IM SO TIRED..i feel like i cant do shit right ..and what i do isnt enough for anyone.............

Wish, your daughter is 14, correct? Oh honey, my daughter did a lot of trivial shit when she was that age. I would ground her, she would go out the window. I sent her a counselor, she would sit there and not say anything. She finally ended up in the juvenile facility after she stole my car and blew out the engine (I'm thinking she was 14 when that happened, but really can't remember, I just know it was before she had my granddaughter). She had my granddaughter when she was 16. Yes, she was totally boy-crazy. I'll never forget when she was 12, I think. I heard noises coming from her bedroom, like people talking. I thought she might have left the radio on when she went to sleep. I opened her door and found this 17-year old boy sitting on her bed with her (they were both clothed) talking. I called the police and they gave him a good talking to, like about what happens in prison to legal age men who get in trouble for messing with under-age girls. Then, when she was like 13, she wanted to go see Marilyn Manson with a group of legal-age kids. I told her she couldn't go and she went into a rage and found a straight-razor and very superficially cut one of her wrists (it was barely bleeding). I called 911 and they came over and put a huge bandage on her wrist, which totally embarrased her.
I feel your pain, rage, etc. All I can say is be tough. Maybe try taking things away your daughter enjoys. When you feel like giving up, just keep hanging in there. We're here for ya. And the best of luck.

U know what u said about the era of natural disasters had me thinking of the "end times" that some churches go on about. u know, there being a lot of natural disasters, more wars, more plagues and diseases etc just before the world comes to an end. cant help but think maybe theres some actual truth in those prophesies or whatever they are.
i havent talked to my aunt yet, my sister says her phone is unreachable or not answered. my mum asked my other sister to talk to her but she says "how am i supposed to tell her she's being a stupid prostitute? She's our aunt and aunts are our mothers and u cant say something like that to your mother." I'll try over the weekend when i go to her house, she'll probably have some silly story to tell.
shyguy came to see me yesterday and we talked a bit. he's got a girlfriend in south africa at university. plus he's 23 YEARS OLD!!!! :o that means i'm SIX YEARS OLDER THAN HIM!! :o i knew it! thats why he's still nice i suppose. hasnt been that much out there in the world. he lent me some music to play on my computer today. he's really sweet but i cant go there no way. he's much too young, we can only be friends and thats it. and of course i wont ever tell him my status since i wont let anything develop in that area. i cant do babysitting again. uh uh. no more babies. i need a mature grown-ass man or its nothing

Betty, not only have I not gotten a rejection letter, i can't get them to call me back to make sure that what we sent them was what they needed to prove my citizenship. We also don't know if 2 of our boys will get their CHIPS back. We got a letter from DHHR saying that their CHIPS was being cancelled as of May 31st because we hadn't sent in the information that they asked for. Hubby called them and let the secretary have it - we sent it in when we did our taxes back the end or March / beginning of April. The secretary said that she remembered seeing something from us, but it wasn't in the computer yet. THEN, we applied for Medicaid for me online. We ended up getting a letter saying that we needed to prove mine and the boys' citizenship. It said we had to have picture ID's, and birth certificates. Our oldest son has a picture ID from when he travelled with my parents, but it's 6yrs old. Our youngest son doesn't have a picture ID, but the lady said all Hubby had to do was bring son's birth certificate and sign an affidavit. Ok..Hubby brought all their information and my information to DHHR the Tuesday Mini went to the doctor (was it last week?). Hubby called DHHR to make sure that's what they wanted, and no one has called back. He's also e-mailed them. So, here we are. Hurry up...and wait. >:( Even when the boys were getting CHIPS, we paid a $20 co-pay and 10% of medications - which they never needed. The only time we used it is when #1 needed glasses. The problem with CHIPS (Unicare) is that no one in our area takes it, so we have to travel. But, in an emergency, I'm greatful we have it.
Hubby just checked the mail, and nothing is there. He also just called and left yet another message. Oh, well. I'm doing better, but the weather is killing me. I'm taking Zertec everyday at 4:30, Primatene tablets in the morning, and the inhaler only when I need it. So far, I've only needed it after rehersal last night. Doc said that because the pollen levels are the highest they've been in 20yrs, there's a lot of people who are having repiratory problems that have never had them before. I've always had allergy problems, but never that have left me with brochial asthma and viral pneumonia.
Nothing has really happened today. I've done laundry, finished #1's costume, talked to my mom, and crocheted a baby outfit. It's been a totally lazy day. Mini had a hard time with practice last night (i posted about it in OT), so we made her lay down. #6 kept making noise, so Mini didn't sleep, but at least she laid down for a couple of hours. Hopefully, she'll have a better time tonight.

Wishful I feel your concern, maybe you should have a long heart to heart with her, not telling her off but being really sincere, b/c all the shouting won't help. I was a total wild child too and I lived to regret it, barely. But my parents never hit me, except the occasional slap when I really asked for it. If you regret that, maybe you should tell her. There's nothing to lose by being sincere. I hope she is just being rebeliious in a normal way, and she will thank you one day for keeping a watchful eye.
Tendai that's a shame about shyguy, maybe the 2 of you can be friends. can't have too many friends in this world. does he have an older brother ;)? About your aunt, "when the heart speaks the mind is powerless to object", or as we say less demurely in hebrew "when the d*** stands the brain is up the ass". I guess you could phrase that to fit a woman but I won't go any further.
Cristy, hope Robert's boil is nothing, but its good he's seeing a doctor soon. I hope things work out with that guy you mentioned. Thanks for your encouraging words. Which body parts were affected when you were 14 and how long did it last? this is my second bout, I'm just bummed b/c it took literally years to clear (almost) before, it takes some mental adjusting. It even will affect my sex life, now that we're over the teenie bitty hurdle of my being HIV+, I can't have my BF touch any part below my bellybutton, we can still have sex but just have to be really careful not to pass it upwards to my arms and (shudder) face. It doesnt sound like a big deal, but it is because its a big limitation on spontenaity.
~oh well, just one more thing to tell the grandkids. LOL as if.

Wishful--This generation of kids really have things twisted and quite honestly the government fucked up when they started calling ass whippings child abuse. Now kids have something to hide behind and now people wonder why kids are doing fucked things like adult crimes or whtever. By no means feel like it is your fault
Cindy--Sorry to hear about the problem with your roof, I think it is great that Iceman offered to help, nothing beats having support when you need it. I doubt very much that he will expect you to pay it back. Aww, and Cheech has reached 100 in dog year, give that pooch a steak.
Christy-- I am glad I decided not to go to the hearing, it was cancelled. I found that out when I called my son's PD but surprised him when I told him this was the second time it was rescheduled, he didn't even know. He also made me aware that one of my son's brothers is also there with him. Which answers why he is beefing with someone now cause he feels he has back up, it tells me he hasn't learned anything. The PD is trying to get the charges lowered back to juvenile with my son having to do time in some type of facility.
Tendai---The kitty in my avy is Lucifer who is now sitting in kitty jail or the cat carrier for trying to knock up Queen Nef. She has gotten smart though, when he tries to nail her, she falls over, it is the funniest thing to see. The kittens have their eyes open now. All of them move pretty good except for the runt of the litter whose feet go out to the side and she pushes herself around. I am hoping she will grow out of that.
Not much going with me though my oldest sister had a bit of excitement while talking to me on the phone. It seems her downstairs neighbor from Cleavland gets abused regularly and while talking to me the bf fired a gun. My thoughts went to, I'm glad the bullet didn't hit her....flashbacks of what my son did. The police and news were all over it. The news tried to do a live interview with my sister but she declined for the sake of her safety, can't say I blame her.
I still haven't heard back from the liver specialist about where I am suppose to go. I called my ASO yesterday but my case manager is out til Monday thus the name Miss Twice A Week but she is suppose to do a home visit on Tuesday so I'm sure we will talk about it then.
I am off to watch the season finale of Smallville, I'll check back later.

Mum- You are soooooo organized! You have a nice routine which I am sure you need to have. I wish I could have a fraction of that.
Well this week is almost over. I did have a sad part of my day. For fifth grade we have a homework/detention policy that is modeled after the middle school that the kids feed into. The 6th grade teachers told us that one of the major problems they have is kids not completing their homework. So we adopted a modified version of what they do. Basically if the kids miss 2 days of homework a week they have to serve detention on Friday. Most kids don't really have any problems. They get their work done and if they miss a day they still have another chance. Well as with most things there are always some who just can't get it together. Since we are getting closer to the end of the year it is difficult keeping the kids focused. Some start to get lax with their work. We had to send out notice that starting at a certain point (last month) if a student received 3 detentions they would not be able to participate in the play day on the last day. Well I have 2 students who cannot go now. One student has had 4 detentions in a row! I had to tell them and it was so sad. I feel so bad, but all year it has been an issue with these particular kids. I've talked to them, their parents, modified their homework, etc. It just breaks my heart.... :'( I don't know how they are going to act tomorrow but usually they get mad at the teacher which doesn't make sense but their 11...sucks!

I'm back and I'm so very tired. Rehersal went pretty good tonight. I thought I'd gotten away without needing my inhaler, but as soon as we got in the car, my chest started tightening up and I couldn't catch my breath. The weather here sucks big time. It's raining and only getting to about 60. We had ONE pretty day this week, Tuesday. Monday is supposed to be our only rain-free day next week, but still not getting back into the 70s.
I just read on Yahoo! that the government has screwed up the stimulus checks - putting them into the wrong accounts and forgetting to add in the $300/child. It advised that if you were supposed to have your's direct deposited and haven't gotten it, to call the IRS and see if they posted it. If they did and you don't have it, then you are one of the lucky suckers who's money stimulated some other bloke. Also, they are telling people to check the amount to make sure you are getting back the correct amount. The government can't even give a gift without screwing things up. Ain't life grand?
Vyv, I wish I was organized! I have a list of things I want to do and a list of things I need to do and, eventually, they all get done. So, i'm a planner and a scheduler, just not an organized one. ;D I plan on doing tomorrow no more than I did today, except I think I'll take a nap. I have more laundry to do and I need to get our dance stuff back together. Other than that, and my nap, another rainy, lazy day.

Mine is now a week late from their scheduled time. I haven't gotten a Dear Jane letter saying they took it. And when I try to do their little "Where is my Stimulus Payemnt?" I get the spiel that they don't have my information and list the reasons why. When I try to call their number, I can never reach a live person. And they switch up so much on their site, now they are saying give it 2 week from your scheduled date to show up. Like Betty said, should've known something was foul when I saw that.

keeping - thanks for the pictures! you guys look so good together and your man is quite a looker. i lkie the one he's hiding too. we get some crazy wedding pictures here. there was one where the bride lay on her stomach on the ground and the groom sat on her back. in another one the bride was lifting the groom up instead of him lifting her ::).
Drag - i told my little sister about shyguy being younger than me and she laughed that there must be something cockeyed with us. first of all we're the only lightskinned ones in the family so my mum jokes that we're the products of some other man whos not my dad. then when it comes to men, she's the one who gets asked out by older mature men and i get the babies when it should be the other way round :D.

Queen - i'd be terrified of living with someone with a gun, its just so scary. i have a friend who used to carry a gun aruond in his car but i bet the only place he's ever fired it is at the gun range practicing.

Viv, that's too bad about those two kids. Of course they get mad at the teacher-they're probably too young to realize consequences, and results being their own fault. That's too bad, but you gotta stick to the plan. I bet you're glad it's almost done.
Queen, my bff used to own a gun, but when she was being stalked, she got rid of it. She said she knew she'd use it and that scared her. In my drug-days, I used to carry a .357. I never used it though, thank heavens.
Mum, I hope you get your rejection letter soon. Oh, I've dealt with agencies who can never seem to get it right. Good luck with that. It doesn't surprise me at all about the stimulus checks. The federal government only gave the IRS about 90 days to get this all together. Just another one of Bush's horribly thought out plans. Not that the stimulus in itself is a bad thing; he just doesn't have the smarts to have a well-thought out plan and how to put one into action. The Iraq war being a prime example.

Last night I went to an NA cookout/speaker meeting. It was good. I saw some old friends and had some good talks. There were tons of new faces there, but that's not unusual. One woman I talked to had nine days clean yesterday. It got pretty cold out though, and of course I didn't wear a heavy enough jacket. But that's alright. There was one guy there I've known for years, who we sometimes call "Angry Ed." Well, we were talking. He told me he can't find a job and he's trying to get his shrink to help him get on disability, she doesn't think it would be therapeutic, and he said next time he sees her he's going to start "banging (his) fucking head against the wall." He kept getting louder and louder and I thought "for heaven's sake, make him stop." I just pretty much know when he goes on one of his tirades, to just nod my head. Although, when I was going through my period of wasting and was in the Hospice bed, he used to sleep on the floor next to the bed every night, in case anything happened to me. So, he does have a good heart. Sometimes he gets carried away.
I have hardly anything planned today. I might go to a food bank and the library. The library is about 20 minutes away and I just hate to travel in that direction unless there's something else I have to do, with the price of gas. It's $3.95 here.
My doctor e-mailed me last night. He was originally going to put me on Acyclovir for suppresive herpes therapy, but now says he's faxing a script for Valtrex. Ok, whatever. I haven't composed an e-mail to the asshole who gave this to me, but I will today. I think Viv asked me whether he knows or not he has herpes. I'm sure he does, because of the devious nature of this man. He has a lot of hidden "secrets" that trickeled out. I'm sure this is just another one.

Betty: I sure hope the meds help. I hate to think of you in pain.
Queen: Even though the money is coming in one day and going out by the afternoon, we were still looking forward to it to pay off bills. Our check was supposed to be posted today. If we get it before the end of this administration, I'll be suprised. Of course now the lawnmower is broken, so that's another $400+ that we've got to come up with. We live on a hill, so it has to be self-propelled in forward and reverse. Of course life can't be easy, or, heaven forbid, less expensive!
Our oldest son woke up this morning with belly issues. He's been running back and forth to the bathroom all morning. As long as he keeps it to himself. We have 1 bathroom, so today could get interesting. We tried to give him Pepto, but getting that boy to take anything is like banging my head against the wall. Our youngest daughter (#6) has a speech eval today. It was supposed to be at 11am, but the lady just called and changed it until 1pm - during nap time. That'll be interesting, too.
So, in short, it should be a very lazy "interesting" day ;D. We have practice again tonight at 6 - leaving at 5. Rain, rain, and more rain for the next week. >:(

Well, I'm back from the food pantry. I'm disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to get help from food pantries. It just seems like sometimes they give us food that even dogs who were starving wouldn't eat. Oh well.
I sent a pm to the member here who gave me my latest "virus." I informed him not to pm me, or call me. I hope that's the end of it, and I also hope he doesn't bring it onto the boards.
Someone needs to start a new thread. I suppose if it doesn't happen by tonight, I'll do it. Have a nice afternoon ladies.
