Holidays are finally over
« on: January 07, 2013, 02:26:01 am »
I absolutely love the family aspects of the holidays but am also grateful when it all ends.  I made some great memories with some of my favorite nieces and nephews.  They stayed the weekend and stayed up half the night playing games.  I didn't allow any drinking or smoking inside and it was great.

The only one left is my nephew who hopefully returns to college any day now.   :o
I love having him and his doggie here but being the full time maid, cook, and housekeeper for a 21 year old gets tiresome.  He graduates in May and is moving to LA so I'm not spending these last few months bitching about his slobbiness.  :)

Being honest is not wronging others, continuing the dishonesty is.

Hallelujah and praise the dog the Holidays are over.

First holiday season in five years that I was alone and it was rough enough.   Thanksgiving was the worst (I received the official legal separation papers two days prior) with Christmas somewhat less depressing though still somber.

From dealing with my break-up to my aunt, who practically raised me, dying shortly before Thanksgiving this was one generally crappy holiday season.

New Year's wasn't bad and I had fun with friends which I hope portends a better 2013.
