I need an answer by the person with knowledge
« on: September 12, 2017, 12:22:24 pm »
Hello Everyone

I want to wish you all great health, love and all the blessings.

I am 22 years old heterosexual boy and I need your advice more than ever.

In 1st and 25th of May, I had encounter with two different woman of unknown hiv status. I had protected sex and unprotected oral (Receiving and giving) intercourse with first woman (1st of May) and Unprotected oral (Only Receiving) with another woman(25th of May), there also was a single moment when I touched her vagina with my unprotected penis, but I did not penetrate, it was only 2-3 seconds. She also told me I did not penetrate her.

After that I read about HIV as much as I could, and I got anxious, very anxious, I had suicidal thoughts and etc. After this anxiety, some symptoms began to show up. Muscle pains, armpit discomforts which came for some seconds and then faded away, neck pains, restlessness, I could not sleep more than 2 hours at night. One day I had 1 day fever with diarrhea for 3-4 days. Luckily my father had the exact same virus with fever and 3-4 days of diarrhea and that made me feel less anxious because I saw how my family member had the same thing, which could be simple enterovirus which was active in that period of time among many others. But all in all, I was in great anxiety, I was on the verge of suicide.

The main thing which terrified me is that none of these women wanted to get tested, one stopped contacting me after I told her if she was Hiv- and the another assured me that she does not have the virus because after her last exposure she was tested neg.

I did 4 tests which were of 4th Generation.
After 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 13 weeks and 3 days from last exposure (After 25th May)
It was done by AIDSCENTER, which is main clinic of AIDS in my country, which is battling HIV from the beginning of the virus.
After the last test, specialist told me that if I was negative on 13 weeks, I did not have the virus.

I also did HEP B, HEP C, and Syphilis tests on 13 week. All Negative.

I have two questions now:

1. Can I put hiv aside or should I go for 6 month testing?
2. I did CBC everything was normal, also I don't have any autoimmune disorder, I'm not IDU, I am not on any treatment (HEP C or Cancer). I don't see anything in myself which can delay seroconversion. So, have you seen anyone in this site or in real life, in situation like me, who tested neg on 95 days and then tested positive on 6month mark?

Thank you for you time and wish you all the great things.
Sorry for my bad English, I'm Georgian (country in western EU) so I don't have to speak English often.

You simply had no risk if what you posted here was true, and you have tested conclusively negative as would be expected since you simply had no risk to start with.

Continue to use condoms and as a sexually active adult test at least yearly for STI's and HIV.

Thanks brother!

I swear, this was more than 100% true Jim.
What is your opinion mate, can I trust these tests, forget hiv and put this fear aside?

Answers:

1) Yes, you can put the thought that you have contracted the HIV from the incident(s) described in your post.  You have tested negative for HIV antibodies 13 weeks after the potential exposure, which means that you have tested conclusively negative.  You do not need to test again at six months, unless you want to for your own peace of mind:  otherwise, there is no need to test further.

2)  No, this has not occurred in my experience.
