Interesting, but the safety issues of translating this model into real life are massive, not to say the ethical questions of establishing it works. - matt

the beauty of this approach is what i thought about earlier using HIV particle to replicate and disabling the virus at the same time, one short required, the rest will be replication from it, its still on theoretical model but its better than what they have been trying in the last 3 decades and much superior than even if they had a vaccine which works - cheers ;D

Wow...this is such a good read. I really hope they start the research and then animal testing soon. Lets get this show on the road! Its an interesting way to looking at things. "TIPS" is ts like a type of "virus" that's not harmful but kills the infectious virus HIV in our body, and that non harmful virus can spread to other people too, so if others are infected by HIV, the non harmful one takes over it. Is that how it works?
Is this the first time they thought of something like this?

How can you trust anything in that article when the author cannot even form a complete sentence?

It's a model not a real life human technique yet.
I agree something - even theoretical - needs to do better than the lame vaccine candidates to date.
