Hello Everyone:   ;D

I'm just curious is the ferry trip to Sausalito still on?  If so, are most (excluding those who'll be sailing with Sonomabeach obviously) still planning on doing this?

I'd love to go !!!  Can we just show up or do we have to get tickets in advance?

Not sure Jody, but I think the Coordinator or Allang can clue us in.

I did just notice in the cut/paste thing, that it says the last ferry departs from Sausalito at 12:00 p.m., but the ferry we're catching to Sausalito departs at 12:00 p.m. too.  I'm confused.  Does that mean we won't have a ferry back?   :o  Or is the time wrong?

RAB

Edit to add:  If we're going to have to swim back I'll need to pack an innertube!   ;)

Last ferry departs Sausalito at 6:20pm.  Tickets are purchased at the ferry terminal prior to departure.  However, anyone wishing to receive the discount must travel with the group on the ferry departing at 12:00 pm from the San Francisco ferry building.

Now I am getting the trip to Sausilito confused with the trip to Muir Woods...or is it possible to do both?  I have been to neither place so I am definitely following the group....just not sure which group and which place!  If anyone can clarify the options...I would appreciate it.

I think those going to Muir Woods were planning it for Saturday afternoon (?) (opposite the trip to Alcatraz), after the sightseeing tour.

The trip to Sausalito that Dennis has arranged for us  is Sunday, catching the 12:00 p.m. ferry.

Hey Gary,

Maybe I can help... Saturday is the Walking Tour of San Francisco, leaving the hotel at 10:30 AM.

Englishgirl is planning the Alcatraz tour for 2:50 Saturday afternoon.  People have already purchased tickets.

Muir Woods is an option also for Saturday Afternoon.  I thought we could set a time at Meet and Greet.

Social Hour is planned at the Hotel on Saturday Evening at 6:30.

The Ferry to Sausalito tour is Sunday, I wrote 10:30 AM in my day planner but may be incorrect.

The sailing excursion on my boat is planned for Sunday and the departure time has not been decided yet as Lowell from Freeman Marine is going to Captain and he will have to plan the departure around the Tide charts.  My boat is in San Rafael and the channel to the yacht harbor is difficult during low tides.  This is a conflict time.

Social Hour is planned at the hotel on Sunday Evening at 6:30.  Have the best day Michael

From comments I have read of you, Mister RAB,  ....you have the muscled arms and the cleavage for pulling it off.
Too bad you're AFRAIDA WATERS.

You better watch your mouth missy.  If you continue being a PAIN IN THE BUTT  :D we'll take the mermaid outfit away from Jody and you can play the role of "AFRAIDA WATERS" (LOL @ MJ's suggestion).

The ferry ride to Sausalito is a nice low-key and low-cost way to get out on the bay. Sausalito itself is a pretty little tourist town with lots of shops and restaurants and nice views of San Francisco.

If you're planning to go to the antique car show in the Castro that Moffie has written about (the "Sunday Special"), you can take the ferry, have a bite to eat, then return to San Francisco. From the Ferry Building in San Francisco, it's a 10-15 minute ride on the Muni Metro  to Castro Street. Take the K, L, or M train from the Embarcadero station to Castro Street (six stops).

The car show runs from 10 am to 4 pm.

Here are ferry departure & arrival times that might help you decide how to do this:

Dep SF                Arr Sausalito
12:00 pm             12:30 pm

Dep Sausalito       Arr SF
12:45 pm             1:15 pm (this means you get off the ferry in Sausalito and get right back on)
  2:10 pm             2:40 pm
  3:35 pm             4:05 pm
  5:00 pm             5:25 pm
  6:20 pm             6:45 pm
