My New Numbers!
« on: November 10, 2006, 06:15:59 pm »
Hi Everyone!
I have  new numbers to  report! My CD4 went from 268 to 399 and my VL went from 8500 to     < 50!!!! I'm so excited! Its taken 14 months but I finally have things under control!
Matt and Gerry if you read this, I want to thank you again for all the help and advice you gave me in August when I was totally freaking out about  being resistant to everything. The new meds  you both suggested  are obviously working fantastically !!

Also just a  note, Joseph and I are  doing ok too!

I miss talking to you all. Things dont feel the same on here and I have been staying away most of the time, but I just had to share my good news today

Hugs
Jena

Hey Jena,

It is GOOD to hear from you. In fact just the other day this week I was thinking about how you were. Your numbers are looking great and it is a blessing that your VL is less than 50!!! I love to hear and read GOOD news as it is ever so nourishing to my soul.

That's absolutely fantastic news, Jena!  What a difference a couple of months and a new doc makes!  Sounds like you've gained your confidence back as well.  Well done!  Don't worry about the forums.  It's just going through a temporary phase.  It will come out okay...like it's always done in the past.  Gerry

Very good indeed

And this shows the simplest option is sometimes enough eh? (cos I ... and Dr Gallant ... were advocating a double PI + boosted combo I seem to remember)

Hi Matt,

I think we both called for the more aggressive approach.  I guess in an area where there is less certainty (such as which next regimen to use after a particular set of resistant genotypes), it would depend on which specialist you asked.  Dr. Gallant tends to be more aggressive, while Dr. Young recommended a more wait and see approach with the simpler regimen which turned out to be potent and effective enough here.  It's good to learn all these differing and equally valid opinions and approaches.  What's even better is to see them applied in real time and see good outcomes.  I learn something new here all the time!

   Jenna,

Hey stranger!!!    I was wondering about you the other day.  I find it ironic that shortly after, you made this post.  I must have some kind of power I have not been able to tap into yet ::)

Glad to hear that your numbers are improving and things are "ok" with you and the fellow..
