My first labs
« on: November 16, 2006, 05:29:12 pm »
I started Atripla and did labs 4 weeks after starting treatment.

My previous labs were:
430,000 vl
112 cd4
12%

after 4 weeks:
1,680 vl
156 cd4
14%

I'm pretty happy right now. :) I can't wait to tell my wife the news.

Esquare that is great!   It seems the Atripla is knocking that vl down .  I just started on the same thing as you know and I can only hope it does the same for me.   Keep us updated on how it's working.

Makes you want to celebrate huh?

   Thomas

I think you are right, a celebration should be in store.  The wife and I may go out for a big dinner date tomorrow night to a restaurant we both love.

One other bit of good news in the labs that was a huge deal to me was my liver numbers. I had a few that were elevated and I was highly concerned about going on the meds because of them.  Well, believe it or not but those numbers have all returned to normal except for one and the one that didn't was just a hair away from being back to normal. I asked the nurse how that was possible and she said that my body is just responding really well to the drug.  :) I realize that this is a life long battle but I am feeling good about things right now.
