Here in Louisville, the university is where the HIV clinic is.  If you don't have income, then you get your doc appt and labs free.  If you do work, then they charge on a sliding scale.

So, I would imagine Atlanta would have this. Isn't Grady the big clinic there??  I would think there would be a few.  I would call Grady.

I did my own viral load test through truehealthlabs.com.  It cost me $350 for the test though.  The doc from truehealthlabs.com was required to ask me why I wanted the test.  Seems the VL vendor or lab was requiring that info.  He then emailed me a "prescription" for the test and I took it to an independent lab and got the results in about a week.

tony, i went back through your posts, i see your were diagnosed with a nadir cd4 count of 50... so you've had an aids diagnosis (doesn't matter how long ago, or what your current count is, they look at nadir)... you are eligible to be treated at the grady clinic on ponce de leon (large white building, next to krispy kreme, across from the eagle)

341 Ponce De Leon Avenue
Atlanta, GA 30308
Main: (404) 616-2440

navigating their bureaucracy is a royal pain in the ass, but worth it i promise

One suggestion for others might be to try to find  a doctor who does medication studies, they may be able to pay for your medication and all labs.

Pray God you can cope
I know you have a little life in you yet.
I know you have a lot of strength left.

I've ordered my labs from this website a few times and have always had a good experience (fast results too):

Remember the days when you could just go the lab and get your labs paid for by insurance?  I went into a lab the other day to get some tests done (I have a chronic condition) and, this time, they asked me to provide a credit card in addition to my insurance card "just in case" the insurance company didn't pay for the labs. Ummm so you might charge me an unknown amount of money in the future... no thanks.
