El VIH es tan fragil para transmitirlo fiable desde esa moda. No tiene que probar.  Adelante con tu vida normal sin dudas.

See a doctor and treat it.

Whatever the cause it is not HIV from the encounter with the sex worker. End of story.

Why in the hell would this start up now?

Why not. Also you can't self diagnosis neuropathy so stop trying and stop trying to diagnosis the cause. You can't.

I had NO RISK

Well you had no HIV risk from the encounter posted about with the sexworker. If this was your only sexual encounter since you last tested negative than you would have nothing to worry about however I doubt that this was your only sexual encounter and as explained the only activities mentioned here so far that meet the biological conditions needed for transmission of HIV was with your wife.

See the doctor again if you are sick and treat whatever is making you sick. If you are concerned about HIV test at 6 weeks and again at 3 months post last exposure with your wife for a conclusive result.

Finally use condoms for any intercourse no exceptions going forward and test out of standard routine like every sexually active adult should at least yearly for easier to transmit STIs & HIV

And I knew you were going to say that as well.

I know that peripheral neuropathy can be caused by many other things, such as vitamin deficiency. Its just the timing that bothers me. Why in the hell would this start up now? All the aches I had in my joints 4-8 weeks after, then the onset of neuropathy in my arms legs hands and feet.

I respect your knowledge here wholeheartedly. Ive read soooo many people come here with symptoms that are textbook (from online resources ofcourse) HIV symptoms but test negative. Trust me, I am trying to move on from this. I tell myself every god damn day that I had NO RISK. But everyday I feel the shooting/burning pains and just get depressed.

Hiya.

What your concerned about is not how hiv is transmitted. End of story really, you simply did not acquire HIV from the encounter with the sex worker.

I am married and could have passed this onto my wife

Ill presume with the wife and being worried about her it, means unprotected intercourse. Well that is a risk to you.

It does not matter who it's with or how you feel about them or if you trust the person or not, it is simply biologically speaking how HIV is transmitted and a risk to you. I am not judging people who have unprotected intercourse within a relationship, simply understand  that if you both decide to have unprotected sex, its a choice based I presume on trust between you as a couple. Just know that the choice does come with a HIV & increased STI risk that you are both accepting so test at least yearly.

Not much more I can say. The only HIV risk you had was from the wife.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions. Consider starting PrEP as an addtional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim

Hello POZ Forums,

First off let me thank you for doing what you do. I have learned SO much about HIV the past month and it has been very informative. Basically, I believe I have it.

I had interactions with a CSW at a brothel 12 weeks ago. There was cunnilingus, unprotected fellatio, and PROTECTED vaginal intercourse (condom did not "shred" like its designed to). 4 days after, my dick was tingling EXTREME. I could barely sleep. Went to the doctor next day, got some antibiotics, and it cleared after 4 days (i got a shot and a liquid antibiotic on the spot). When my tests came back (1 week after exposure) it showed negative to both gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Now I know what you all with say. I had no risk. This is what ive been keeping in my mind. And I know you dont want to hear symptoms but I have had a mirage of them. Im not going to list them but the biggest one ive had is Peripheral Neuropathy.

I told myself...this is all anxiety. This isnt real. But it very much is. The burning in arms..legs..hands..feet. Sometimes shooting pain. If this is caused by anxiety, it is unreal because I have told myself time and time again I had NO risk.

I have not felt like myself. I have been tired, weak, and depressed. Depression does not cause nerve damage. I also know what you will mention, that PN is not a early symptom of HIV. However, from peoples testimonials and other websites it clearly states that HIV can cause a array of central nervous issues during the acute infection period.

No matter how much I try to tell myself that I do not have it.. I think i will have to face the facts. I am married and could have passed this onto my wife. Im afraid if i get tested, i will lose everything. I guess I just need some peace of mind.

Buenos Dias

Comentarle otra duda Dc.

PrEP is highly effective against HIV but no guarantee

Part of the course of being on PrEP is more frequent testing, so do test. I mean yeah  you had a risk but nothing worth getting stressed over.
