You could have tested conclusively over this scenario by drinking a glass of water, simply because you had no risk to test for. HIV is not transmitted this way - end of story.

Ok i understand and thank you for your reply.

Clearly not as your asking the same again in a different way.

To start with lets up your "what if" to a worst case scenario ... If you gave the guy a BJ yourself directly and had open wounds bleeding in your mouth, even than its a near negligible risk so small that no testing is required and without the wounds your mouth lacks even the route or cells to infect.

Your what if is not even in the same ball park, firstly its never happened, your "what if" never has resulted in a HIV case and lets be honest over the last 40 years how many billions of BJ's do you think have happened daily! That should really be telling you something already.

Anyhow the dry mouth, is dry to you, at the level for HIV things are very different so to start her saliva is a hostile barrier and between you and her your saliva is a hostile barrier, also by that time air plays a role as the woman did breath in-between her last client and you and air on contact corrodes HIV leaving it unable to infect.

Move on already and stop asking, stop overthinking things. Its irrational to start with and not getting any better.

Forums Gatherings / Re: AMG 2018!!!
« Last post by odyssey on Today at 10:18:54 am »
Okay folks, is there any way we could get an idea of who:

1) interested in attending an in person gathering of people from the poz.com forums (also known as AMG)

2) top three places each person who answered affirmatively to question 1 would "nominate" for the location of said AMG

3) ideal (and/or non ideal) times of year during which those who answered affirmatively to question 1 would be most likely to attend an AMG

Now, I've never set up a Google poll or any of those other fancy, high tech poll type things, but I think one of those might be useful in this sort of situation. I think perhaps if I, or someone else could set one up that one allow people to insert their forum username but otherwise ensure anonymity and we could get this pinned to a few main forums, perhaps the relative ease of completing a poll such as this would encourage more interest, participation in the brainstorming process, and hopefully in the actual gathering.

Any thoughts?

Also, do we have any pinned posts in any of the main forums with information on what the AMG is, where it has been held in the past, what we've done, our purpose (our meaning the purpose of those who get together in whatever year), where to find more information, where the specific thread is, who can come, and all that grand stuff. I kind of suspect that there might be a general lack of awareness of this type of information and I think it might go a long way to make it easy to find out by seeing if an admin could allow someone who writes well to compose an informative post (fact checked of course) and pin it at the top of many of the main threads that those who may not happen to wander down here (I am saying down because at least on my screen this thread ends up way at the bottom).

Ok i understand and thank you for your reply.

But explain to me please, how it is not possible for semen of another person to stay in her mouth and therefore come im contact with my penis and get me infected?

but I agreed with you. :o "AMG" was the term/group used to get a group rate.

I just don't know that "AMG" was used in place of "AIDSmeds Gathering" to not disclose our HIV status. ;) It certainly didn't hide it for me, since I was usually asked what "AMG" stood for.  ;D

I cede to your superior powers of awesomeness.  ;D

P.S. Jeez, people are so nosy, aren't they!  :P

Tnx Jim for your kind reply.is my test conclusiveand  can I start living keeping worries aside.
Well, good news (apparently), I don't have pulmonary hypertension according to the test the cardiologist did. However, I have little to no "faith" in the competency of this cardiologist nor the accuracy of these results for several reasons, which I shall delineate.

a) During the procedure, for which I was plenty conscious enough to be aware of what was going on, but had been given just enough medicine to be slightly relaxed and certainly not feel any pain from having "balloon" threaded into my heart... the doctor was talking to someone out of view who was recording various "pressures" and she kept mentioning that my pressures were low and that this was obviously because I was dehydrated.

To skip to the important part... I had consumed approximately 4 L of water in the 18 or so hours before the procedure (about 1 gallon) and they had also done "pre-op" labs, one of which measured my creatinine. I have some kidney damage from taking Truvada for several years, although my creatinine has decreased significantly from when I was on the Truvada (we're talking CKD Stage 3 to 4 to now where I pretty much have close to normal kidney functioning. My creatinine was 1.39, and to the best of my knowledge (having had it checked over and over for almost ten years) as one becomes increasingly dehydrated, that number goes up regardless of kidney function. That number was essentially along my baseline for the past several tests without regard to the situation, so considering all of these factors, her (the cardiologist) presumption/assertion that I was dehydrated was a bunch of horse sh*t!

b) After the procedure, when I was in the recovery room, I politely mentioned to the nurses a couple times that I was having chest discomfort (we're talking yeah, this really hurts, but I'm not going to get all dramatic about it because they knew I have mental health diagnoses and some people just LOVE to jump to conclusions). The few times I mentioned it to them were spread well apart in time, I was certainly not being a pest or anything, in fact, they had not given me a call bell so I had to wait until one of them walked past the small opening they left in my curtain and say "excuse me".

Anyway, eventually they convince (I guess that's what they did) the doctor to come in and see me (after I'd mentioned the chest pain/discomfort whatever several times) and she pretty much looks at me, says your vital signs are fine, that the heart muscle has no nerve endings anyway so there is no way the pain could be coming from there (I find this part highly questionable) and that I just need to calm down/relax (ahh, classic indirect "It's all in your head" statement). I asked her about possibly getting some nitroglycerin, and told her I've had it in the past and that it has helped with chest pain and she went on this blah, blah, blah about how it is only for a certain type of chest pain... and essentially, no, she wouldn't give me that, nor anything else.

So... long story short, I had a cardiologist who was convinced I was dehydrated (or at least claimed I was) even though I was absolutely not), and then proceeded to be entirely dismissive of the pain I was in after the procedure.

Ohh, and to top it all off, during the procedure when she said it was not pulmonary hypertension, but that my right ventricle was enlarged, I tried asking her (in multiple different ways as she was evasive in a way any good politician would envy) what could be POSSIBLE causes for such issues and my symptoms. I made it clear I was not asking for her to diagnose me, but rather just to get some ideas of things to bring up with my providers back home. Head, meet brick wall.

One other thing, they did the procedure through a vein in my arm (the AC vein) and I asked if my having high cholesterol for 15+ years often despite the statins I was on could possibly result in anything being in the vein that might end up getting "broken" loose that could cause problems. I was told that cholesterol is only found in arteries and not veins (this was as some other person [a doctor I would hope] was getting me to sign the consent). Now I have no clue if this is factually accurate, but it seems somewhat dubious to me that cholesterol in the body would selectively deposit itself in the arteries but skip the veins. As if cholesterol knows the difference.

Okay, I'm very sorry for my extended rant, I am just extremely pissed off and I pretty much feel like I went through that entire procedure and that it was futile because I have ZERO confidence that any of the "results" are accurate in any way.

So yeah, I'm fucking pissed off, but hey, I made it through alive, and I guess the fact that I'm fucking pissed off means I'm not going to stop until I figure out what the fuck is going on, whether it be pulmonary hypertension or some other thing.

Note: I had a cousin die suddenly (as in my aunt and uncle left the room for a minute, came back, and he was dead) when he was 30 or so. I'm turning 32 in a couple of weeks. I've also had another cousin die of some heart thing, although she was probably 2 or 3. In other words, I'm not exactly la di da about anything related to my heart.

Sorry for practically writing a mini-memoir, and for those who made it to the end, kudos and a big hug (if you want it). Many thanks to those of you who wished me well!

Favor to ask you!
Could anyone tell me how to post images?
I have some photos to share - mainly the ones taken in my country Japan.
Thank you in advance.

In short: Host the picture on a site that gives a "Direct link", ( https://postimg.org ) the direct link must start with "https" not "http" .

Once you have that you put the direct link on the forum/post
Than highlight the link and hit the "image" icon.

If done correctly it will add the "IMG bb code in front and behind the link.

What the link and BB code looks like:

You had no exposure to HIV, HIV can not be transmitted this way to you and you have no reason to run out and test as you had no risk from what you posted here.

Getting your penis sucked is not a HIV risk, saliva is not infectious, it also contains over a dozen elements that neutralize HIV. There hasn’t been a single documented case of HIV transmission to an insertive partner (the person being "sucked") and you will not be the worlds first.

HIV does not transmit through an intact condom and they shred leaving no doubt when they break so you would have known about it. The handjob was also HIV is not transmitted sexually or from day to day contact once exposed outside the human body as the receptors needed to infect human cells corrode leaving it unable to infect.

Whatever is making you sick it is not HIV from this incident as this incident simply could not lead to HIV transmission to you.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards
