Risk of infection?

Hi there. So, I live in Melbourne, home to a number of legal brothels, where one of the conditions that the Victorian Government gives such places is that every sex worker checked once a month and that no session be conducted without a condom. The one I went to had all the proper government approved signs, and is on the list of legal brothels online.

A few hours before I engaged the services of one of these establishments, I did some shaving of my crotchal region with a shaving razor, where I accidentally gave my self a couple nicks and scratches, a couple of which were bleeding a tiny bit like normal shaving cuts, but dried up within a matter of minutes.

I went in and did the deed with one of the sex workers. At first she gave me a quick session of unprotected oral sex, and then placed a condom on me and we went straight to vaginal intercourse. That being the first time I ever had sex, I dont think I really did much for her (made her orgasm), and she had to finish me off with a Handjob.

While I recognize that the brothel I went to was a legal brothel, and thus had government controlled testing of it's employees, and we used a condom, I am a bit worried that on the off chance that she had HIV that I would be infected either through the Oral (not sure it thats a thing...) or through the shaving grazes and cuts I had on my crotch from earlier.


If someone can tell the risk I am at for HIV infection, I would be very appreciative

You had absolutely NO RISK for HIV infection. And given the stringent conditions at the brother you attended, I cannot imagine a significant rik for any STD infection.

Still, I firmly believe that, as an adult person having intimate relations, you should be having routine and regular STD panels done (including, of course, HIV testing.) This is for your peace of mind and that of your future partners.

Thanks for the reply. I didnt think there was any significant risk of infection, especially since we used a condom, but my main concern were the shaving cuts. Just to confirm, despite the shaving cuts, the risk is near non-existent, correct?



Well, all in all, thank you for the quick reply, and trust me when I say I wont be doing anything like this again any time soon. I'll also get tested in a few weeks as a routine thing.

Shaving cuts, like fingernail biting and rashes, are NOT an entryway for HIV infection.

Condom covers urethra (the tip of the penis)

In heterosexual sex, the male is protected.
