Facing deadful thoughts.I beg your help.please
« on: March 12, 2012, 12:31:33 pm »
Hi Everyone,
I am 19 years old male. My concern is, about 10 years ago i am pricked by a syringe needle in my finger, which I found outside of my neighbor’s house. It did not go very deep in my skin, but blood came out. That time I was a kid who knows nothing about STD s or HIV/AIDS.I had done that in my playfulness. My next concern is, at the age of 14 I was forcibly taken away by my some bullshit friends to a local escort. So she put a condom on me and took me inside her. But because of my self-awareness and worried nature, I did not had an errection.I discontinued that and ran away from there. But I was inside her for a couple of minutes (with a condom).
This two incidents cause my life a hell. Now I am 19 years old. Because of my worries 1 month ago I had done a HIV serum test (for my peace of mind), which came out negative. But my local friends are worse than my enemies. They told me to test again after 6 months. As I don’t want to go to my local std clinic again because I am a topper of my school. So everyone in the clinic knows me. So my nightmare continues.5 days ago I found this wonderful forum with so many understanding people. So I wanted to know that, is my test (after 5 years) accurate? Last 5 years I have had no symptoms (which I read in online) and no specific illness. I am very much healthy also. But because of my incidents I have thoughts like dying (sometimes). As I have a little knowledge about hiv.So I just wanted to know that, Is HIV means death sentence? Can a hiv positive person lead a normal life? Please help me. I am facing many big troubles because of this.
                                                                                                                                   Thanks A Lot

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

You never had a risk to begin with. And your recent HIV test has confirmed that you are HIV negative. There is no further need for testing.

Just remember for the future that when you get around to having either vaginal or anal intercourse, always use a condom. No exceptions.

Your friends don't know borscht about testing. If you at anytime should have a genuine risk, (which you won't as long as you consistently use condoms), then a negative result at 3 months is reliable.

You're good to go and you can stop worrying about your HIV status.

Cheers.
