HIV SYMPTOMS??!
« on: March 27, 2017, 09:23:54 am »
First I want to say thank you for this site.. on march 12 I had protected sex no oral sex or kissing just protected sex.. that night I had to wear tight boxers because none of my newer ones was clean, then the next day I still haven't did laundry so I wore basketball shorts for boxers.. the next day I felt a lil itching on upper though and it was a lil red, first thing I thought was herpes.. it wasn't any bumps or anything.. so I started to worry it might be that but there got better and went away.. that weeken on march 18, I got a bump on the back of my head right over the neckline.. I started to panic maybe thinking it was an enlarge lymph node on my head.. I went to doctor to get it checked out and she said it's prob due to a muscle knot and pulled muscle and to check back if it gets any worse.. so I let a few days go by.. that Tuesday march 21 I got a lil knot on right side of neck , it's very small so I started to panic again this time going crazy! So I rushed to see my doctor and she told me the news I didn't want to hear. She told me she think it might be a lymph node .. it's very tiny and hard. She asked me if I was under a lot of stresss and what's bothering me.. I told her about me having protected sex and she said I should be fine not to worry... but these symptoms have me believing I might have contracted HIV from this one time protected encounter! Sometimes my left testicle will even feel weird.. I don't know exactly what's going on.. do you think this HIV related ?? Thank you

I have read your post carefully just in case I missed something...I didn't
Protected intercourse is not risk for HIV.
What ever is making you sick it is not HIV, It is safe to move on.

Wade

To avoid infection,
You need to be using condoms for all anal and vaginal intercourse until you are in a trusting monogamous relationship and both have been tested for all STIs and HIV.
Everyone who is sexually active should have an annual exam and test for all STIs and HIV ,and always after unprotected intercourse. Always using condoms will give you peace of mind your tests will return with a negative result.

Thanks for the response.. so by me having a lump or knot on the very beginning on the right side of me head and a lil tiny knot right under my ear on my neck.. I went to doctor and the tiny knot on my neck she said might be a lymph node.. so that doesn't sound like HIV? I never had any lymph not forming right there before? I thought that only happened when your body is fighting a virus like HIV or something .. she told me since it wasn't big don't worry , but I'm worried because all this has happened after my protected encounter

You can't have something you were not exposed to, your lymph nodes have nothing to do with HIV. Continue to work with your doctor if you are not well and please don't post about this again.

Best, Wade

On March 12 I had sex with a woman I used a condom it wasn't any kissing or touching and it wasn't any oral sex.. I checked condom afterwards I didn't see any breaks in the condom.. a week later or two I noticed a lump in my neck it was very small. My doctor at first said it was a knotted muscle another week goes by and it's still there. I go back to the doctor she said she thinks it's a lymph node.. I never in my life had a lymph node get a lil bigger.. so now I been having aches and pains in my legs elbows and hands .. my left arm been going numb some to.. are these hiv symptoms?? I'm so scared I don't know what to do.. the knot on my neck comes and goes..

Since you had protected sex, you are not at risk for HIV infection.

So no, whatever your symptoms may be, or may appear to be, they are unrelated to HIV infection.
