Clash of the Choirs
« on: December 18, 2007, 08:36:06 pm »
Is anybody else enjoying the show "Clash of the Choirs"?  It started last night and ends Thursday.  It is wonderful!  Patty LaBelle's choir is amazing!  It's about famous singers that went back to their hometowns and picked 20 ordinary people and made them a choir. They had 3 weeks to prepare.  They are playing for $250,000 that will go towards a charity in their hometown.

We're watching it  :)  We expected Team Bolton to go home not Team Roland. Being we are from Ohio Team Lachey is getting our votes but yes Team LaBelle is the team to beat. On day 1 I will say the country guys choir did a lot better than we expected but not as impressed tonight.

We thought the same thing!  But, Team Bolton really knocked it up a notch tonight.  Honestly, tonight hubby and I are having a hard time deciding who should go home. ???  I'm guessing the country guy (don't know his name), except he has 2 military men in his choir so many may vote for them because of that.  Team LaBelle gave me goosebumps tonight.

I've been thinking about watching this, because I adore Patti LaBelle.  I might tune in if it's on tonight.

It's on tonight and tomorrow night is the finale.  The "run" is only 4 days.

I've been enjoying the show also.   I think Patti's choir is fantastic.

We did expect to hear Christmas music but it's still very entertaining.

Christmas music is tonight.  Every choir must sing a Christmas song.  I can't wait!  Patty was on the Today show today and sang 3 songs.  Oh, my, but that woman has a voice!  We'll probably let the kids stay up tonight to hear them sing.

I had chills listening to Team LaBelle's first song.  Oh, my gosh!  Then when that one lady on Team Lechey starting talking about her sick daughter...I was bawling!  What a wonderful show tonight.  We voted for the Blake's team, can't remember his last name, but we know Patty's team'll win ;D  What did ya think?

We finally watched the finale show and I guess our 40 votes helped Team Lachay to victory.  ;D

Team Lachey, the Cincinnati Choir is singing to support: The Children's Hospital of Cincinnati

10 votes from home phone
10 votes from Jeff's cell phone
10 votes from Jeff's email
10 votes from Jeffrey's email.

And we didn't even call from both cell phones that could have been another 10.

All the Choirs were great I hope this becomes an annual pre-Christmas show.

Yeah, but I was so shocked that Patti didn't win!  We voted for the country singer.  I wonder if many people didn't vote for Patti because they thought everyone else would or that she would win anyway, so why vote?  But, did you hear her announce that her choir will be singing with her during her New Year's Eve special?  I would've fainted!  And, all other charities got $50,000 which isn't a bad chunck of change. :o
