Teeth Rubbing Against Condom
« on: November 18, 2013, 10:17:29 am »
Hi Team,

I hope all of you are well today. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this site. You've helped alot of people. Thank you.

I am a 28 year old South African male. A week ago I engaged in oral and vaginal sex with a a sexworker. I had purchased a very thick premium latex condom.

She gave me a blowjob and then we participated in vaginal sex. The whole encounter lasted less than 5 minutes. During both the oral and vaginal sex I used the condom. Once we were complete, she took the condom off and tied it up. I didn't physically examine the condom but from my knowledge it was intact. I looked at it when she was tying it up...the bottom end was securely housing the sperm.

My question is...when she was giving me a blowjob, could her teeth have created any small holes in the condom. She didn't bite me...but when her teeth were rubbing against the condom...could it have created small holes? As I said, the condom was intact when she took it off...just unbelievably nervous...haven't eaten in days...:(...can't seem to convince myself that I was safe...please help.

Thanks,
Worried

You didn't have risk , you had protected vaginal sex . Condoms are designed in such a way as to leave no doubt when they fail and you would have known if the condom was defective or damaged because it would have shredded or had large tears in it .

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME for this incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thank U Jeff G. Last question. Do you think that teeth gently rubbing against a condom during a bj can cause minute holes. She didn't bite me, but could feel it from time to time rubbing against my penis. The condom was very well lubricated and I could not see any visible tears. The bj was before intercourse. That's y I'm a bit stressed. Thanks again. You guys a are a Godsend.
