Hiya,

Cunnilingus isn't an HIV concern, and as for intercourse, HIV can't transmit through an intact latex or polyurethane condom. Unless a condom obviously fails during intercourse, there is no reason to be stressing or testing for HIV outside the standard yearly HIV screening.

Move on with your life, and as you are sexually active, get a yearly STI screening and HIV antibody test (Not a standalone antigen test) out of standard routine.

Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.

Kind regards

Jim

1.Thank you for clearing the cunninglus...I am now good there. Just one final ? In regards to testing .The test i took was written the test contains a membrane strip which is precoated with the reecombinant hiv 1 capture antigen gp41 and gp36 ....".The colloidal gold conjulates and blood sample moves along the membrane chromotographically to the test region and forms a visible line as the antigen and antibody antigen gold particle complex forms with high degree of sensitivity...Would you regard this as an antibody /antigen test.I ask this because these are the mostly available tests we have this region.

Hiya,

It sounds like a combination test looking for HIV gp41 IgM antibody & gp36. Ask the clinic or whoever supplied the test for more details instead of me.

See, I am not interested in pretending what you posted here was an HIV concern or required testing. Move on with your life and get a yearly HIV 1 & 2 Antibody test.

I had sex with an hiv positive partner using a condom .
I had shaved my pubic area 12 hours earlier and nicked myself and i also had a non-bleeding blister/sore  just above my penis which was not covered by condom

My worry is during sex my groin area was very close to her and vaginal fluids were all over me and were rubbing around my sahved area and blister .
My question is
1.Can the vaginal fluid have entered my blister/sore.(It was non bleeding)
2Can hiv have entered through my nicked  hair follicles into my blood stream.(non bleeding)
She was very wet and i had vaginal fluids all over my shaved pubic area

Are these routes hiv could have entered.

Please assist.

You nicked yourself shaving, it's not a route for HIV, and neither are hair follicles. As for the blister being in contact with the vaginal fluid, it isn't an HIV risk either.

Move on with your life.
