On your mark, get set...... let the vivid dreams begin!!!
« on: December 27, 2006, 07:50:19 am »

I guess I was not knocking on wood hard enough or something, because I have now for the last three nights had  some very strange dreams.   Police have been involved in all three and they sure ain't coming to my aid!!

Night before last night the dream was absolutely a nightmare and started with me trying to break into BET headquarters (That's Black Entertainment) in Miami...  I know for sure such a place does not exist in Miami, but anyways  it seemed someone ended up dead.   The police caught me and like typical Metro Dade Cops they beat my ass and let me get away in the process.   I ended up on a bike pedaling my get away!   I made it to this house and proceeded to get into a fight with someone who I thought was a man.  After throwing my first punch, he ripped off his shirt and it became obvious this was a woman.  Strange thing was she had no arms and had these plastic prosthetics.   She tore my ass to hell.   So I escaped on my get away bike and was caught by a group of guys in my old hood.   I still don't know who the oriental guy was carrying the head, but he threw the head with such accuracy Dan Marino would have been envious...  Caught me straight in the chest!   I retreated back to my bike and unbeknowest to me someone stole the front tire and replaced it with a square piece of wood...  Not easy to ride a bike with a square front tire!  My phone rang and I woke up!   On the phone was this guy asking me if I owned a house on 10th avenue.  I said yes and his exact words were," Man your shits all over the place and I just got me a bad ass outfit out of your closet!  There are people taking all your shit out of the house and there is an orange lock box on the front door because the state is taking yo shit!"   I finally woke up, this time for real.   Had to splash some water on my face just to be sure though!

Three nights in a row now...  Last night I could even smell the chlorine in the pool house I was hiding out in...  Good God my past is coming back in technicolor I think!!   Dolby, surround sound and the friggin likes....

I hope I can at least have one good one...  Like a fishing trip where I catch fish non stop..  or a smoke session with friends and the best weed this boy has ever had... Hope hope hope!!

So much for saying I'm not having side effects anymore..  funny thing is these three nights were started with dizzy spells before going to bed.  I had not even had those up to this point.

I hope this is all I get.....

  Thomas

Wow,

Are you sellin' the movie rights? Your dreams are entertaining, but a nightmare to you. I heard you can sort of shape your dreams by what you do right before you go to sleep. Try watchin something of your liking, maybe not House of wax Though. Some people watch porn and really have a safe sex adventure because it was all a dream.
My ex's friend loved his porno dreams. The atripla is a "trip" I heard. I will hopefully start on these meds soon. And then I can share my dreams. I think I will watch the golden girls. I'll probably be Blanche in her cradle robbin' episodes. LOL

Thomas, I have forgotten which meds. you are on. :(  I can say that sometimes I get the dreams from Sustiva in 3D/full color, etc. and sometimes I don't.  This morning, having infused way, way too much coffee during the day to recover from working on Christmas, I was in the bathroom around 2 a.m. when I got so dizzy I thought I would throw up.  This, after years of Sustiva.  So go figure.  Win

Hey Win, I  was just about to ask you how long the vivid dreams last while on Sustiva; I guess you've given the answer.  Was it more prevelant at the beginning.. have you noticed if eating with Sustiva does have an impact?

I like the idea of the porn before bed to "influence" what dreams a person will have.. I figure that will result in having to wash my bedsheets more often, but that's a small price to pay for REALLY safe sex EVERY night.  ;D  ;D

Thanks!

Thomas,

Try the porn thing like Rob and Shawn suggest.  Who knows, maybe you'll be a porn star in your dreams.  That could be pretty cool!

On a serious note, I've had a few vivid dreams, but they are mostly silly or at least entertaining.  Last nights dream (the one I remember) had me going to London on business.  David went with me, and they gave us a room with two single beds.  We had to explain to the lady at the front desk that we were a couple and wanted one big bed.  She didn't speak English very well (strange) and had a hard time understanding.  Finally, we got it worked out then David woke me up saying goodbye, as he was going to work, so I don't know what else would have happened.

Good luck with it and hopefully those dreams will mellow out.  I did take an Ativan a couple of times when I started the Atripla and remember having no dreams (to recall), so maybe that's an option.

My dreams have all been of the pleasant variety so far. They are vivid as hell at the time but I don't remember a damn thing a few hours after waking up. I really don't care except that they are vivid and usually good so it makes it tougher for me to wake up because I'm so sunk in the dream. I've nearly overslept a few times because of them.

Skee - any chance you are watching some type of tv before going to bed that is seeding your mind with dream material that is less than pleasant.  I know that if I watch any time of true crime drama or one of those Cops-type shows, my dreams trend toward the more upsetting end of the scale.

Maybe some softball tv before bed, or reading, or as others have suggested, porn is a better choice.  I believe dreams are heavily influenced by what you see, hear and read right before bed.

Thomas,

Damn, that sounds like some stuff you would see on HBO. I could break out with the spiritual stuff but I'm sure no one here wants to hear that. But it is funny, how this is triggering memories from your past. Experiment with the gf on the stripper things. I'm sure it would be more fun....

Skeebo,

Those Sustiva dreams can get really wild.  If they're affecting your sleep, talk with your doctor about switching.

Hope that *none* of your dreams come true.   ;)

Thomas,

Honey, I am not Ms. Cleo, ok...lol...I just believe that dreams mean things and it is not always what it appears. What caught my interest was you dreaming about things you did in your past. Is there something from the past that still bothers you now in the present? *pulls out the couch* Oops, sorry that's part of my fantasy! *puts the couch back* ;D

Yes, I AM Supporting You!

Hey Thomas...

You know, the other day I was inside of my Doctor's office waiting in the Lobby and I had noticed this late issue of Readers Digest that was sitting there. On the front cover was their main topic of discussion about Dreams and what are their relationship with a Human Being.

Of course, out of my curiosity, I picked up the book and started to flip trough it in order to find the section where they had written the story. I had thought about Thunter34, myself, and others in this World who have Dreams and at that very VIVID ones. (Sight, touch, taste, smell, sound, the works.

In any case, it was found that our Dreams are a way of dealing with our daily lives. What is occurring is our subconscious is communicating with our conscious in order to sort through a situation in order to come to some sort of solution. This is where out FIRST THOUGHT comes in to play in our lives. Your FIRST thought is your inner voice that is speaking directly to your consciousness. There are (2) two other types of thoughts but i will not go into that right now. Perhaps at a later date.

Now, after looking at your description of your vivid dreams, here is your unabridged version of an interpretation of your dream:

***Breaking into BET - There was something that was inside of their buildingthat you wanted to get to, perhaps some sort of information or a certain item.

***MTD Police - was an indication of your conscious beating yourself up for the actions that you had taken.

***Pedaling on a Bicycle - in this scenario the bike is an indication of you "fleeing" from the situation. When the MTD Cops (your consciousness) was beating yourself up, instead of you stayingthere to "fight" the situation, you chose to "flee" from the situation. This is a clear indication of the "fight" or "flight" response. I learned this in college when I studied Human Behavior and Inter/Itra Personal Communication Skills.

***At the House - because of your "fear" and your "anxiety" you went into a "panic" and you chose to "flee" from the MTD Cops on your bike. When you arrived to the house, your adrenaline and all other sorts of chemicals were running through you. You were in the state-of-shock and in a "panic". At this point, you were vulnerable to anything occurring to you as your natural response was to "protect" yourself in all cases. Due to the non clarity of whom it was in the house, you chose to "fight" to protect YOU. As it turned out, it was a Woman....Someone who is in your life to teach you and to assist you. NEVER BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU.

***Your Escape - you "flied" on you bike due to your "panic" and your "anxiety" from the situation as you were being taught by the woman. You then ended up in a familiar place in which was suppose to be your comfort zone. the Chinese oriental Guy in your dream threw all of your problems at you so that you could Deal with them instead of running away from them. the center of your chest is your heart. This is a clear indication that you should Deal with the matters HEAD ON that are close to your heart instead of "fleeing" from them.

***Square Block Wheel - This is a CLEAR indication for you to STOP "fleeing" from your problems and to DEAL with them HEAD ON. in this case, you had no choice but to go back and to DEAL with it ALL.

***The Phone Call - You are being robbed emotionally in some shape or form!

So, in summary there are things in your life that you need to DEAL with HEAD ON and if you do not deal with these things you will be robbed emotionally. So you wonder why you get drained? Hmmm.

Interesting Dream.

Hey Thomas,

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Sustiva...   ::).  I have raced Formuls 1 cars over tile roofs on Oceangate and have been chased by rock stars w/guns, after being paid for voice overs.  Some nights are normal but every night is an adventure.  Been doing this since 1998 and have learned to wake up, realize it is a Sustiva dream and go back to sleep.  Of course when I get back to sleep, Clark Gable and Carole Lombard are evisting me from Weathering Heights!  Have the best day (and night)
Michael
