Possibility of infection?
« on: April 08, 2012, 05:25:10 pm »
Hello friends, I saw this forum on the internet and I can say only the best for you and that you people give great advices! I have one question!

I had very unusual situation with my girlfriend couple of years ago while we were in a few weeks relationship. During our first sexual act, I used condom and we had around 15 minute penile vaginal intercourse. At the ending, I didn't want to finish in her because I was afraid of condom tearing so I pulled penis out and told her to finish me. Then, she continued giving me oral sex over the condom, and after two seconds she were disguised with taste, so she pulled it off and continued oral sex on my unprotected penis for some time and soon I cum. Although I didn't know her HIV status, my question is, could I get HIV infection this way, because obviously for short time in her mouth was her vaginal fluid with her saliva while giving me oral sex. I never saw similar situation on the internet. Some say HIV is viable only in confine of two bodies, but what this case counts for? Else, could I get wounds or sores on my penis while I had condom on my penis during vaginal intercourse?
I am very very upset...

Thanx alot for the answers and for your help everyone!

Getting oral sex is one of the most common of sexual activities. In the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a confirmed case of transmission to a guy in that manner. It's safe to say you won't make history by becoming the first to be infected that way.

The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you consistently use condoms properly for those activities you will be well protected. It really is that simple.

Dear friends, thank you so much for fast answers.
I was so worried and I appreciate your answers and I also hope it is not too much when I ask additional explanations, because knowing the reasons was always useful to me.

In fact the thing that concerned me the most was that it was really hard for me to find difference between penile-vaginal sex and oral sex on penis with vaginal fluid included in it. Doesn't that make the same thing? Can't we say that penis is both ways exposed to contageous vaginal fluids?
Is it her saliva that inhibit the virus in fluids immediately or what?

Thanx once again.

John,  you are making this way more complicated than it needs to be.

Unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse provide the kind of receptive setting which HIV needs in order to be transmitted in a viable state. HIV is a fragile virus and no, vaginal fluids on a penis outside of a vagina or an anus is not risk for transmission.
