Title: Dilemma on combo.
Post by: egello on December 11, 2008, 09:15:16 pm
Two years that I have been on HIV meds, I have been on two different combos. One is Boosted Reyataz and Truvada and the other is Truvada and Viramune which I am currently on.

Both combos have no side effects and work very well. The reason I changed it in the first place is because I thought that maybe perhaps PI could be causing my ED issues as read in this link.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12048360?ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DiscoveryPanel.Pubmed_Discovery_RA&linkpos=1&log$=relatedarticles&logdbfrom=pubmed

However, my ED is still continuing after three months of being on Viramune and Truvada combo. So I am thinking that my ED is not HIV med related but caused by my being really sick two years ago.

Now that ED issue is ruled out, which combo should I go with? I kind of like the idea of Boosted Reyataz combo since I only need to take 10 mg of Cialis instead of 20 mg which I take now, thus saving about 10 bucks for a dose. Is this a good reason to decide to go with certain meds?

Any opinions, comments or suggestions?

Thanks
