oral sex and risk assessment
« on: April 17, 2021, 11:41:11 pm »
I engaged to an unprotected oral sex the past days. I gave blowjobs to some guys I met from an app, of course their status is irrelevant. What worries me is that I had my wisdom tooth extracted 3months ago and until now, there is an indentation from the site of my tooth extraction. Will this be a risk in acquiring HIV? Also, i have braces that sometimes cause my gums to bleed and i have a bad acid reflux that makes my throat dry, also have white tongue. With all this conditions, will it add to the probability of acquiring hiv through oral sex? no ejaculation on my mouth, but i am pretty certain that there is precum.

Thank you so much for your advice.

Hiya,

Look giving a blowjob, the mouth generally lacks a route for HIV to infect, even if you had gaping holes in your mouth like meth mouth saliva also acts to neutralize HIV by damaging the receptors needed to infect human cells. It's such a minute risk that we don't even recommend specifically testing over it.

Now, I read your post three times. Nothing you mentioned makes any difference to this assessment, feeling dry to you is not really dry at all.  Relax, just get tested whenever you are next normally due a routine STI & HIV check-up.

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions. Consider talking to your health care provider about taking PrEP going forward as an additional layer of HIV protection.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Kind regards

Jim

thanks, Jim.

Ive got another question.
So i had "side fun" again with someone yesterday. Just oral.
I gave him blowjob and then humped on him.No penetration but he came on my butthole. My worry is that i am constipated and that day there's few blood on my stool. If the semen came in contact with my butthole (i am thinking that it has scar due to hard stool), can you please letme know if it is a risk for hiv?
Also, the second time I gave him oral, he came in my mouth and i spit it out immediately. And is rimming considered a risk too?

Thank you again.

Not an HIV risk.

I gave him blowjob

You know the answer to this and rimming is not an HIV concern.

Side fun?? Are you sexually active with someone else?

thank you Jim for the quick response.
Here in our country, we refer a sex act that only involves oral sex and kissing, and no penetration as side fun. sprry for the confusion.

So even if the semen came in contact with the "scar" on my butthole, it does not pose any hiv risk?

Again, thank you for being one of the active persons here in the forum and for sharing your insights and knowledge.

Cumming over your ass was no HIV risk whatsoever.
