Hiv scare 2 years ago
« on: September 30, 2013, 04:57:01 pm »
I had protected anal sex two years ago with two different college guys who both said they were negative.  Both acts lasted a total of probably 10 seconds and now my mind is playing tricks on me.  I'm sure the condoms didn't break and I know there was no blood on them for sure.  I'm married and know I did a terrible thing and never did it again but now 2 years later I have had two small mouth ulcers that my dentist said were nothing to worry about but after reading symptoms online, I've gone into a panic.  Do you think these ulcers are first symptoms or just normal and should I be nervous about being infected? Thanks for your time before hand.

The sex was protected and the condoms didn't fail so there was no risk for HIV .

If you are uneasy go to the pharmacy and take an oraquick HIV test , it will be negative and then you can put this behind you .

Or you could trust me when I tell you that your case sounds like guilt and anxiety and once you deal with that you will be OK .

We do not discuss symptoms because to do so is to ignore the fact that the only way to know your HIV status is to test .

Trust me, I'm trying to deal with the guilt and anxiety.  I haven't had an ulcer in a week but my gums are sore.  I keep looking in the mirror all the time just waitin for more to show up.  Friends have told me I'm fine also but when I read things like 'ulcers could be a symptom in stage 3' I get freaked again.   I am bAd about 'what if...'   I have one guys neg test results but I then say 'what if he altered it '.

This is a anxiety issue that can be addressed and put to rest for the cost of a oraquick test or visit to a testing facility .

Telling you that you that you didn't have a risk hasn't helped you so go test , collect your negative result and get on with your life .
