Title: Headbanging headache
Post by: solesurvivor on December 20, 2011, 01:02:40 pm
I've been tested positive almost a year now,my cd4 is stable between 358s,but lately I often got a headache, sometimes mild and sometimes it's like someone swing a bat at my head,I'm curently not on meds yet and thinking of start it soon.Does anyone got a headache more often lately,or is it just me?or is there any ways to lessen the frequency of the headache?

Does your doctor have an opinion as to whether headaches are related to your hiv infection?
Does your doctor think starting haart would help with this particular problem (among the many other advantages)?
Do you think you need to start HAART now, to live well, or not yet?
HOw long do you think you have been infected with HIV?

yeah I read that too philly, and I just wanna know if anyone also feel the same, got a frequent headache and all.

Well my doc said it could be because of hiv, since he suspect that I've got contracted for 2 or 3 years. He also recomend me to take haart soon, but I just not ready yet.there are a lot of thing I must do without meds in my hand.

I guess when the headaches get bad enough, you'll decide for sure what to do.  Best of luck!

I have a question, but it is not the topic of your thread. Obviously no need to answer.

The question is - what do you mean by this?  There are a lot of things you must do? You mean things you need to do before you are ready to start?  Or do you mean after you start medicine, you are afraid you wont be able to do as much as you need to do?

My experience, same kind of headaches, almost daily, before I knew I was +.  Turned out to be the pre-curser of PCP and wound up in hospital for 21 days, not much fun, might ask Doc to start you on Meds just to prevent anything like that happening to you. Your #'s would probably eliminate PCP, but could be indicative of other infections; be proactive and good luck.

I've had headaches since for years, though the frequency is only a couple a month. While horrible when they come on, I can get read of them with some Alleve type OTC stuff or aspirin though it may take hours for relief to set in. Sometimes they're bad enough where I need to lie on the sofa for a while.
