If you can I would modify the poll to make "0" and "1" separate options. 0 for those not on meds and 1 for those on Atripla. Having the range of 0 to 2 will really skew the results and leave you with less meaningful data.

Better! BUT....I still think it would be better to have "1" as a separate option because many people take Atripla and having "1-3" as the only choice means you will get a lot of answers in that category.

I think tht I screwed up my answer. I put down 3 pills but it's 3 different meds for the aids. Each morning I take 2 Kaletra's and a Sulphatrim. At night I take 2 Kaletra's and a Truvada. So it's 6 pills a day. I also take 2 bupropion's to help me quit smoking.

Mim takes 3 pills / day for her HIV: Kaletra (2x/day) and Epzicom (1x/day). Then she takes her organic multi-vitamen.

2 Isentress and 1 Truvada. I take 7 other none HIV tablets and a weekly injection.
Miss P I'm curious about 24? Your combo's (Isentress/Prezista/Ritonavir/Truvada) is 7 isn't it? Just being nosey!

9 - 4 Kaletra, 2 Isentress, 2 Ziagen, 1 Epivir

But that's only transitional this month, to check for allergies to the components of Epzicomm.

Used to be 5 (4 Kaletra and 1 Truvada). Next month will be 7 ( 1 Epzicom, 4 Kaletra and 2 Isentress) with hopes of winding up at 3 (drop the Kaletra)

plus daily calcium (2), vitamin D, fish oil, multivitamin, aspirin, pravachol

and a monthly actonel

Although, if it weren't for HIV I'd only have a multivitamin and aspirin. If I can drop the Kaletra I'm hoping to be able to eventually ditch the pravachol and fish oil too

1- Atripla, 1 to 4 Immodium, depending how my day goes.

Much, much better than the 27 I started with in 97. ( I only remember that because I recently found the med card my nurse had filled out for me)

I have to take a lot for GI issues, calcium for truvada bone density prevention, blood pressure (hello, I got high blood pressure at the age of 40), meds for peripheral neuropathy etc. etc. -- fully half of my daily pill consumption is just the GI medications, my situation is that bad.

It's unclear from this poll, which by the way is a poll that seems to appear on this board every six months, whether the reply is to be confined to pills that strictly anti-viral for for anything connected to one's HIV treatment. Other people seem to be counting everything going by their comments, but since the initial directions are unclear this may cause the poll numbers completely to not be very useful.

ugh, I also take 24 including:
1 Atripla
1 Dapsone
1 Marinol for appetite
1 Immodium
1 Ambien
and 17 vitamins/minerals like Coenzyme Q (3 100-mg pills), multivitamins (2 pills), Calcium (2 for diarrhea), L-Glutamine, etc.

I rarely if ever took any of these pre-diagnosis $:-\$

For the HIV I take 3: two Isentress and one Truvada.

I also use Androgel, about 3x a week and I take supplements (multi vitamins, probiotics, etc.)

right now I take no HIV meds, but I take MS Contin/Percocet for the neuropathy, Multivitamin / Antioxidant, Neurontin, Trazodone, etc...

I take one pill for HIV itself - Atripla. I also take Adderall three times a day and Lisinopril (blood pressure) once. I take six other 'pills' - vitamins for general use and for calcium (to prevent bone density issues from Truvada).

That's OK. The original poster asked how many "HIV pills do you take a day?" He didn't ask about vitamins/suplements , or anything else.

I would have to include at least a half dozen more pills that I take daily, beside the HIV medication.

11 pills plus Liquid Minerals (for Calcium, Boron, Magnesium, Zinc etc.) and Liquid Omega Oil.

I answered 3, although I do make my own pill at night just before bed time. You can buy them anywhere they sell cigarettes and you put this green stuff in them and ball them up. They are extremely hard to swallow so I burn them instead.
