Post by: Wolfie123 on September 27, 2019, 05:03:25 pm
Hello I want to see if anyone is taking or has amy recommendations for things to keep your immunity boosted or in a goood state or supplements that help naturally. So anything from elderberry to yellowdock or probiotic organic shots or yogurts... (I try to stay away from alot of dairy) also looking into seamoss ,chaparral and burdock to mix with my teas. But id like to know any recipes or healthy tips. Every little bit helps
Thank you

Generally speaking, I just stick to a balanced diet and no suppliments needed.
The only supplement I take is Vit-D but living in Ireland ever adult should keep an eye on that due to the lack of sunlight.

Here is a good intro on HIV & Nutrition and talk to your doctor to see if you need any supplements. https://www.poz.com/basics/hiv-basics/hiv-nutrition

Every little bit helps
actually unless you're deficient in certain minerals or vitamins (low D and B12 are common issues), extras that you might ingest are excreted in your urine. So for most people, every little extra bit doesn't help but goes down the sewer - like the money spent for those supplements.

from an HIV standpoint, you simply need to remain adherent to your ARVs to keep HIV virally suppressed.
from a regular standpoint (an HIV- person or HIV+ UD person), eat healthy, exercise regularly, quit smoking cigarettes and reduce alcohol consumption. That's all there is to it unless your doctor tests for a deficiency and prescribes other supplements or medications to compensate.
