Lab results-lymphocytes

Hi guys, hope all the best for you all. I have been hiv positive for 10 years. Just switched from symtuza to dovato to improve my lipid levels. My lymphocytes have been slightly elevated in the last couple of years, my last lab result was a 54% lymphocyte count while it shouldn't be above 49%. This indicates that my body fights an infection and I was wondering if this is a normal thing for hiv positive people since there is indeed a chronic infection. I have also been extremely stressed out from time to time because of the high possibility of developing lymphoma or other types of cancer due to my hiv status. I try to stay healthy, physically and mentally, it's not always feasible. In general, my lab tests are pretty good. My last cd4 count was roughly 750 and I am undetectable. Hi there... 8/10 times in my blood exams, lymphocytes were elevated. I guess it is due to HIV. My doctors did not comment on that as being something abnormal. I actually remember this happening occasionally even when I was negative.

Almost 2 years +, CD4 count in the 800s, VL @ undetectable levels since the 1st month of therapy

Thanks for the replies. My Healthcare provider didn't comment on this either. But I was a bit worried. I guess it must be OK.

My lymphocytes are always slightly out of range (51-55) too, my doctor never remarked on it.

Are you not getting your results via your doctor?

Best thing to do is to talk to your healthcare provider. 

For me, I normally see my results before I hear from the doctor and I make a note of the tests I don't like (i.e. close to or out of range) and ask about them if they don't mention them. 

They then explain test A (the one I don't like) is also being checked by test B and C, and since they are good there is no issue with test A.  Or they go on that it isn't anything to worry about unless it's way out of range. 

No reason to Google it but to talk with your doctors as one test is nearly always connected to another test.

Thank you all for the replies. I guess it's not crucial, but I'll talk to my doctor once he returns from summer vacation. I think after I got hiv due to stealthing and the positive result came out of nowhere I am constantly alarmed for the next bad thing that will happen. For example I am super afraid of the lymphoma possibility, which I know is really common in hiv positive patients. Even with psychotherapy I don't seem able to manage my anxiety yet.

Hello there!… I wonder why you are worrying about lymphoma?. I think, although you just said you are seeing someone to help you with anxiety. I know that everybody is different but, I was diagnosed with aids in 1994 and kept leaving with aids until 2000 and, I haven’t gotten lymphoma and I don’t think that I am going to get it, if I get it, I will worry then about it. Try to keep living a positive life now that you are positive or now that you have been leaving for 10 years with HIV. I’ve had your lymphocytes. I don’t think that you have to worry about it, but as soon as you see your doctor, talk to him about

My HIV negative husband died of cancer.

My cd4s hover between 200 to 260. No cancer or lymphoma here.

Life is too short to worry about 'what if'.
