My Latest Numbers
« on: April 16, 2007, 11:28:32 pm »
Hey all,

I know I haven't been around for awhile -- Life has been a bit crazy since my company got bought out,  I switched from the project in New York to a project in DC; began teaching an etiquette course for 5 graders, and continue my marathon training...But through all of that, good news.  My numbers came back and I'm undetectable and my CD4s are up to 262.  So the doctor is taking me off the Bactrim and I start the Atripla this Friday.  My mother also went to the doc with me so she could talk with him and ask her own questions.  I think it went a long way towards helping her understand what I'm going through and understanding that so far I'm doing OK

The highlight of my day was the pneumonia vaccine.  Now I know there aren't supposed to be side effects, but I have had a headache off and on since I got the danged shot on Friday.   >:(  I've also been a bit sniffly and fighting a dry scratchy throat so I don't know if it is the effect of the shot or the onset of a head cold...  Either way I can't afford to get sick because I need to train for my race... sigh...

Well being undetectable are really good news! And you're 262 cd4!

I don't know your history but I'd celebrate  :D

Take care of yourself first, then when you feel ready for the race go for it! Don't push it, if you can't make it, it's ok.

Ty given the "take-over" and the stress with that, you are doing sweetly with the numbers...  Nixing the Bactrim is enough cause for celebation!!!   Pneumovacs does make you feel a bit wierd for a day but the lump in the arm is what I remembered the most.   Hopefully your not getting a cold and most likely unrelated to that shot.   Very important shot to have I must add..

Best wishes to your start up of ARV's on Friday... Youll do fine..

Hugs,

Eric
