Been away but doing good

(1/1)

kentfrat1783:
Hello,

I've been away for a while but still be lurking at posts.  Been doing OK, having emotional issues but staying consistent with my meds and working with my specialists Just fun working with PCP, ID specialist and a Neurologist. Now I just hope I don't add a cardiologist to my list.

I'm just glad my CD4 count is above 300 but just seems like it goes up then drops a few points but nothing to be worried about.  Be awesome to get over 550 but I won't hold my breath.

I sure do appreciate this forum and all the guidance it gives.

Hope you have a great day.
Kenneth

Glad to hear you are doing "Ok." although dealing with some challenges it seems.

Saw your note on the monthly meetings and adding you to the next one. If you want/need to talk one to one, just let me know, and ill set something up; my door is open, even if it's just to chat.

I get this.

I was undetectable for about 15 yrs before my cd4s began to creep past the 250-350 range and 20yrs to get to 500+. In part, and probably with you too, is that my cd4 nadir point (the lowest count) had been so low. I had 5 and yours was 2. When your immune system is that banged up by HIV, it bumps you into a category of people who might never regain very many cd4s and/or it may take years for your cd4s to recover into the normal range.

Hopefully you've got strong cd4s (no way to measure that unfortunately) and even a small amount will work hard for you.  ;)
