Checking in
« on: February 17, 2020, 04:47:36 am »
Checking in to let you know I'm  doing ok. Reading up on you all. Hope people check in more often. I know i have been off grid.
I've  been in california for a few years because my son lives here and could not take being alone in the cold New Englsnd winters.
Went through a lot of good and bad with the move. I traveled s lot and did things on my bucket list.
Storage unit robbed. Slept on my son's couch, my friends couch, Crappy doctors where the PTSD I have with Dr.s I just can't  trust them after so many let me down and dismissed me.
and get upset when I go. services good and bad.  but finally settled in a little apt with gas and elect included.

Now that I have a lease in my name, I get $190 in good stamps. When I was homeless, trying to get HOPWA or low income housing, I only got $30. The system is broken.all my disability goes to rent but $110. All my savings is gone now. Hope to get rested and well enough to get a easy job 2 days a week. I don't  need much. Just happy to have clean safe housing in a clean little town.

I hope to start sewing again and was gifted a lot of nice fabric.

My son took a better job in another city and is a 5 he drive from me, but we are in the same State, a lot closer and can visit more.
There were times when we couldn't  visit for 2 years when I was on the east coast. I would cry all the time.

1st visit with new dr went well. I was crying as i get distressed when I have to start with a new doctor and go over all the medical history, illnesses and procedures I've  been through. I try to keep it together, but can't.
Keep on keeping on.
Dee

Thanks Ray,
Had there had been HOPWA funding or housing vouchers available I would not have been homeless.  Shame the system I's so broken.
A new chapter  for me. Now to climb out of depression.
