Firstly, I am sorry for my band Enlish, I am a student only..And I know this web-site from a friend.
And I would be very grateful for those who are ready to help!
LAstweek, My friends and I had a party, one of the friend of mine stayed overnight in my room( we shared a house without separate rooms). In the morning, as usual, I took a bath and shaved, my face had some wound because of the bike-crash the night before, and I always made some blood when shaving. BUt as I finished, my roomate said that the friend of my roomate had used my shave...
I understand that sharing shave is not good. and this can transmit HIV, but I have just one detail, the time I was in the bath room was 03--05 minutes, and during that time, no one used my shave. SO, if that man used my tool and some blood left on my blade, HIV would be outside the body for 03 minutes.Then I used that blade to shave my self!SO, I can call my scenario is that : HIV outside the body, stuck on the surface of the blade(03 minutes), then contacted to my bleeding-wound...
So, Does my story put me at a risk for HIV infection? PLS help me!

What you are worrying about is something that is risky only in theory. In the real world of HIV science HIV infection doesn't happen in the way you are worrying about.
HIV is a fragile virus and not easily transmitted. Common activities such as you have described or for instance getting nicked while getting a haircut are not risks for HIV. Your wound from the accident the night before would already have been closed even if it didn't appear so to you.
To be even a possible risk you would have to have fresh HIV+ blood pouring into an open wound. That is hardly the circumstance you have described.
Put your energy to a better purpose and read the lesson about Transmission on this site. You'll find a link to it in the Welcome thread which opens this section. You'll get all the basics there about the subject.
You have no cause for concern about HIV this time. Just in general sharing razors and toothbrushes is not a good idea for general health purposes, so find a way to keep your utensils separately.
This is NOT an HIV situation. Period.

No risk. I've never seen a guy pick up a razor without rinsing it. Nor have I ever seen a person put a razor down when finished without rinsing it. You don't even know for a fact that your room mate is HIV positive and "what ifs" are certainly not going to help.

The wound from the accident was quite open, because I made it bleeding as I was shaving.(It is closed but I made it open because I shaved right on that wound)...
I understand that you mention the weakness of HIV, you mean that if it was once outside the body, it will be of no danger to me, right?

I understand!Thanks a lot for your reply..But that man maybe rinsed my shave, but I did not rinse mt shave. always use the blade for one week without rinsing it at all!:-(
Does HIV live on that blade for 03 minutes?

What I can tell you is that in my twenty years of working in the epidemic I have never known a single case of transmission to occur through the sharing of a razor. And as you can imagine nicks and cuts are very common while shaving.
So no, I don't consider this to have been a risky incident. Even IF the other guy who used the razor is HIV+ and you don't even know that to be so.

I have read the Transmission Lesson and old topis for days, I admire everyone here who are willing to help, by their knowledgement of HIV!
You stated me that I have no risk of HIV infection, because I had indirect contact to the infected blood?I mean that HIV was once outside the body and it was dead and inactive?
But what is the difference between sharing syringe and sharing razor? in the two scenarios, HIV is once outside the body and contact to the blood-stream...

Blood in a syringe is encapsulated.

When people share needles to inject drugs, they are putting potentially infected blood directly into their blood stream. You cannot even begin to compare the two situations.
When a drug user has a hit, they draw some of their blood up into the syringe before they inject, to ensure they have a vein. Some of this blood stays within the barrel of the syringe and is then injected into the next user.

Please help me! Kissing with sores in my mouth!

First, I would like to say thank-you to all staff of this forum!
Three days ago, my friends and I went to the strip bar, the girl offered me to do oral sex and vaginal sex, but I refused, I do not like to do at all! But she kept rubbing her breast against my face, put me hand on her vaginal doors. Then I was turned on. But my fingers were not deep into her vagina. So this could be impossible for HIV infection, Am I right?
The most stupid thing was that I kissed her and we kissed a bit deep! If I did not see some of my decayed teeths as I got home, I was not scared. So, I am worried sick that my decayed teeths( with possible blooding from these teehths) could be a gate for HIV from her mouth to enter my body! Assuming that she is poz and there were some wounds in her mouth!
Experts, could you give your sage answer to my scenario? If kissing is not a risk of HIV infection, but kissing with some decayed teeths is a risk? Can saliva in our mouth kill of HIV before it can enter my body?Or It needs time?
I have learn from school and the welcome-thread in this forum, but I am still unsure about the real transmission of HIV, because I am very scared!

There is no risk of contracting HIV from fingering a woman nor from kissing her even if you have bad teeth. You say you've read the Welcome Thread. It might help if you read it again.

NOTHING you bring to us was a risk for hiv infection. Seriously. You already know that fingering is not a risk. You should know by now that kissing is also not a risk, I don't care how decayed your teeth are.
Kissing, no matter what details you want to add, is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Never has been, never will be.

I have spent this Saturday to search on the forum and internet. Some sites say it couldbe a risk of both have open sore-bleeding gums, some says it is theorical only!
What is the second opinion?
I have read some where that there is only an infection from kissing so far( lesbian)....??Is that true?

Once again, neither kissing nor fingering are risks for hiv infection.
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

I think that kissing is a social contact, I have seen for many times on the TV that stars kissing and kissing, inthe street, people kissing when seeing each other! I think HIV can not trasnmit this way!
But as I recall, I am still scared!

I am sorry for keeping being a trouble maker ih this forum, but I need your help!
Even I tried to make my self easier but I am worried. Because three dats ago, I was playing wrestle with a stranger guy in the school, my skin was scratch, I did not know whether I was bleeding or not! BUt as I got home and was taking shower, I realised that my wound was bleeding!!!
I am afraid that the one who was playing with me was bleeding like me, and assuming that he is poz, so does this scenario put me at a risk? DOes HIV transmiss via playing sport in which bleeding involved?( boxing, soccer), so, IS wound-to-wound contact still considered as a risk of HIV infection?
I need your help, EXPERTS.

NO! You should know this by now. Casual contact - and wresting is casual contact - is NOT a risk for hiv transmission.
There has never, ever been a case of hiv transmission happening during any sport activity. Not even boxing.
I'll tell you this one more time. Hiv is transmitted during uprotected anal or vaginal intercourse or sharing drug injecting equipment with someone who is hiv positive.
Unless this guy had anal sex with you during your wrestling, without a condom, then you were NOT at risk for hiv infection.
I suggest you seek the assistance of a mental health care professional for your extreme hiv anxiety. We cannot help you with that here.

Of course, I have no sexual relation with anyone, I am sick of being worried over HIV...
But day-by-day contact, there are many incidents which causes alot of anxiety. For example, one could involve in the transport accident and there are possible fresh-wound-to-wound contact...
SO...
IS wound-to-wound contact still considered as a risk of HIV infection?

Maybe you did not understand what wresting is in my country? when playing wresting, the two players are ...full naked, we have only something look likes underwear on! this is called " traditional wresting" in my country....
SO, if that guy was bleeding, i remember that we were ..fighting very hard, and I had some wound, so I have any RISK? wound-to-wound contact....
DOes my scenario look like body-massge?

I am fea in this forum, but one of my friend can not registered for this forum for days, so, I told him to send the message to me and I will forwards this to the forum, I did not mean to break the lwas.
Here is his incident!
Firstly, thanks for this site and its vey kind experts who are always here helping people.
I am 33, I was taught in school about STDs, I hate sexual betrayal….
But two weeks ago, I was involved in an incident that created much trouble and worry for me! I was taking SAT vaccine( vaccine against Tetanus), one dose was divided into two shots, one shot to test the reaction, one shot to finish. After the 1st shot, the doctor wrote my name on the cap, then put it to the refrigerator, I was told to wait for 15 minutes.
Then I took the 2nd shot to finish my dose. But I realised that this syringe had a different color, I was afraid that that was not my syringe, because the doctor was talking over mobile phone when put the syringe to the refrigerator.
After that incident , I have living in fear!
I told my story with my friend( he is a doctor ), he said that there is no risk from getting injected with a Intramuscular injection, because there is no blood involved in the syringe, you only pump chemical in to the body, then draw out, unlike using drug, one always take some blood into the syringe to see whether he finds the right vein.
Is my friend right?
The second question, while I am not surre about my status, I had sex with my wife, after the intercourse, I check my condom, and I see there is a tiny hole near the top of the condom, that hole is not right on the top, I am feaful of tranmissing HIV to my wife.
Is that tiny hole enough for the transmission? It is not broken and visible, just a tiny hole that was found once I poured water into the condom and crushed, I saw the water-jet spurted out from the condom. So, you can not see it without testing by water and crush…
Help me , I am so scared and confused.

This is all about WHAT IFS, which is not a good place to hang out in. You're guessing that IF the needle used was infectious. You have no sound basis for that in HIV science. Just your mind playing games.
And then that you'd be infecting your wife when there's no real basis for believing you are infected.
Hey! This is all head stuff with no basis whatsoever in HIV science.

The friend of mine is experiencing difficulties, I recommend this site for him but he could not signed up for days, and his Eglish is very bad.

He has only two questions:
1.Could Intramuscular injection transmiss HIV? ( no blood drawn from the vein like drug-users always do, I realise that: Intramuscular injection only pump chemical into the body)
2. Could tiny hole( or leakage) in the condom trasmiss HIV? I think that a very small amount of semen is not able to be infectious... May be this question is useful for everyone, we do not check the condom after using, but there are some tiny holes that are possible...

1. NO. You've already been told this.
2. "Tiny holes" in condoms are a myth. There is no such thing. As soon as a condom develops a hole, it splits. You would notice if this happened to a condom you were using.
Make sure you click on the three condom and lube links in my signature line and read the information on those pages. Condoms, when used consistently (every time) and correctly, have been proven to prevent hiv infection.
You are very close to being given a time out. Your fears of hiv are not grounded in science - they are beyond the scope of this website. I suggest you seek counseling for your anxieties, we cannot help you with that here.

BUt, infact, there are sometimes, I check the condom by pouring water into it, then crush the body, there are still some water-jets, but they are very small....COuld you think that the failure of quality is because of the production-line ?

Condoms are a medical device requlated by the government. If you have a concern about a perticular condom brand contact the manufacturer. I'm sure they are going to get a laugh.
