Hi all,

I have been heavily browsing the internet for the past one week. I feel mentally tired. There is also itchy and tingling sensation at joints, probably indicating a viral infection. 

I went for a massage on Apr 5, 2014. The room was dimly lit. The timber floor was slippery with traces of massage oil. There must have been a massage activity not long before I entered the room. A two inch single size matress was in the center. Considering the unwiped floor, I doubted the bedsheet was changed. I then spread a supposedly clean bath towel which was found folded at one edge of the matress.

The lady, a siamese, massaged in between my legs near my private parts to seduce me. She did it repeatedly until there was severe abrasion. I rejected her offer to masturbate me. When I took shower after that, I felt sharp pain on that area. She must have used her nail and my skin must have been broken. Until now, I felt the sore for a week.

1. I am afraid she masturbated a guy right before massaging me and did not wash her hands. There might be semen under her fingernails. The severe abrasion might have been caused by her nails.

2. I am afraid that there might be a cut on her hands.

3. I was closing my eyes during the session. She might have intentionally touched her possibly wet private part and then touched the abraded area.

Questions:

a. What is the risk of HIV transmission for each situation?

b. What is the risk of STDs transmission for each situation?

c. When should I get tested for HIV?

d. When should I get tested for STDs?

You absolutely did NOT have a risk for HIV in any stretch of the imagination ... none .

The risk factors for HIV are from unprotected anal and vaginal sex, sharing IV drug equipment after an infected person or mother to child during or shortly after child birth .

HIV is fragile and is NOT transmitted in ANY of the ways you are concerned about and no one has EVER been infected in that manner .

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Although you did not have a risk and do not need to test for this specific incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks, Jeff. I have gone to 5 forums including this one. 4 say no risk while another has not replied. One forum says I should see a doctor to check on STDs. What are the possible STDs? Are they severe? When should I get tested?

Also, there is one person on a blog claims he contracted hiv from not wearing gloves while working at lab. And there is a recent report on hiv transmission through lesbian activity (no penile insertion). These make me crazy.

The important thing to remember in your situation is you did not and could not have gotten HIV from any of the activity's you are questioning . I do not think you need ANY testing for this specific incident HIV or otherwise but I quoted myself to make it clear that if you are sexually active you should get checked out every now and then because its the right thing to do .

Stop worrying over this no risk stuff and get on with your life .

This is my 3rd post. I thought I was going to use it after the 3 month test but I guess I have to utilize it this time.

I would like to know whether anybody has come across an incident, which was regarded as negligible or theoretical risk, turned out to be an HIV transmission. In other words, since the existence of this forum, was there anybody who came up with a negligible or theoretical risk scenario but later tested HIV positive?

I just read about IndianPoz on 'I Just Tested Poz' forum. He said he had been very careful with everything and yet, tested positive.

Your question is not pertinent to the facts regarding the concerns you have . The best answer I can give you is ....

Nobody has ever been infected in the manner you are concerned with, NO ONE
