Negative Rapid test within the window period

Hi,
I've read a lot of topics here, and truly learned a lot about infection and the test procedure.
Thanks for your time and efforts for helping those in need.

I have a question - I had an incident on the 30th of December which probably didn't  even put me in risk, but I guess it's better be safe than sorry.

So I took the Rapid Test (3 monthes window period) on the 22nd of January, 24 days post "exposure".
I got a negative result.
This lab also checks for the standard HIV test (21 days window period) and I will get the results in 4 days. Then I'll be really relieved and will take a 3 month-post incident just to be sure.

My question is (TL;DR) - is a 3 week NEGATIVE rapid test can be some sort of indication for the standard test results? I understand that the rapid test can turn out negative and the standard could turn out positive since they differ in the sensitivity and check for different things, but is a 3 weeks negative rapid test can strengthen the odds in my favor or taking the rapid test anytime before the 3 monthes period doesn't mean a thing?

Hi

Look ill presume the risk was unprotected intercourse as you posted none and the service we offer is risk assessments.

Use condoms going forward, test for STI's included but not limited to HIV. Remember to test going forward at least yearly.

As for testing in regards to this incident any negative result is nice but the only result that matters is your 3 month test result this window period is both for 4th gen blood test or rapid tests it make no difference. stop stressing in the meantime test when due and move on with your life as normal
