I saw the movie last night and was teary eyed at the end.  It's a shame the show has no longer had another person living with HIV and showed the activism Pedro was so proud of doing but I guess that would be downer these days, now that promiscuity rules for entertainment purposes.

I remember watching that season of The Real World.  I thought it was cool what Pedro was doing but it felt so far away from my life.  What a different feeling I have about him today!!  I cried and was touched by the move and am so glad that it was made.  Pedro was a trailblazer in the HIV/AIDS world and I am grateful to him for his dedication.

I'm glad the movie was made, but I had very mixed emotions about the movie.  Personally knowing both Sean Sasser and Judd Winick, I thought the actor playing Sean did a fine job but the guy who played Judd was so wrong.  I already knew a lot of the details not shown on the old show thanks to having gaps filled by both Sean and Judd, including Judd's graphic novel Pedro and Me.  In some ways I thought this was more a biopic of Sean's sister than of him.

But at least there was minimal Puck!

I should pick up the book. Problem is that I have a few lined up to read right now. I need to sit my ass down and read.  Yea, I was glad there was a minimum amount of Puck.  I would love it if they showed that season of the Real World again, being that I was 13 at the time and just remember bits and pieces.

Oh, go ahead and make me feel older than dirt.
Though if I hadn't been in my 30s at the time it aired, I doubt I would've ridden on a Pride float the following year with Sean Sasser.

But yes, they should rerun it.  Or maybe Logo should, at least.

Recorded to DVR on April 2nd and just watched it yesterday morning.  Some parts I had to fast forward through, I prefer seeing Pedro's clips on youtube.  There are several.   1994 - 15 years later.

What meds were administered through the iv drips frequently seen in the 90s? I wasn't really 'paying attention' to treatment at the time... I recall in "Philadelphia" IVs were common. That isn't the case so much now is it? Things are so much simpler with the combo pills and controlling the virus EARLY.

I agree it would be good to see this on Logo or MTV again.  Is it available on DVD? I've never checked.
