Worldwide request for info regarding, 'once a day' pills?
« on: April 23, 2014, 01:35:51 pm »
Hello, which country are you from?

As an open-minded world citizen, it would be interesting to know ALL the countries in the world where ‘All-in-one combination tablets’ are currently available?

Are any ‘Complete one pill, once a day treatments’ available in your country? If so which ones, and at what cost?

I wonder in particular about Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Japan and European countries?

And let’s not forget Africa, are once a day tablets available anywhere in Africa?

So, how many countries are there in the world? 193 by the count of the United Nations.

Let’s hope this thread does not get Swamped by posters from North America only, kindly give the world a chance, a space, to speak and be heard!

Anyone out there from Cambodia?

So why don't you start, by posting the information you are requesting, about your own country.   ;D

Atripla is definitely available in India. It is called Trustiva here. It cost me about $50(USD) for a 30 day supply.

I'm not sure if the other two one-a-day pills are available here in India yet, but I do intend to find out.

Before going around asking tediously, have a look at the MSF's report on ARVs:

http://d2pd3b5abq75bb.cloudfront.net/2013/09/11/10/25/44/896/MSF_Access_UTW_16th_Edition_2013.pdf

Tells you whats available, and how much it costs and which countries are entitled to special pricing. But it doesn't mention what arrangements each country has specifically, e.g. In Malaysia, all first-line treatment is free, and all second-line treatment a chargeable.
