Can Lupus test detect?

Hi, everyone! I had been tested for lupus about a year ago and they took about 6 vials of blood and was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible that when they test for lupus, if they are able to detect the HIV virus or something that would lead them to futhur tests for that?  Thanks

Because your other thread is another another section I am not merging them. Just remember that any other questions or comments you may about HIV infection ought to be entered in this same thread.

Only an HIV-specific test can tell you about your HIV status. Other sorts of tests which you may have done for whatever medical reasons will not give you that answer reliably. If you have any reason to wonder about your HIV status, you need to take a test at 13 weeks past the most recent risky incident.

You've had the "luck of the draw"? Does that mean you've tested for hiv and received a negative result, or does that mean you're only assuming you're hiv negative? Going by your question here in this forum, I'm guessing that you're guessing.

You need to test at least three months past your last incident of unprotected intercourse to accurately know your hiv status.

And you need to start using condoms not 10% of the time, but 100% of the time. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to agree to acquire a sexually transmitted infection, including hiv.

In your other thread you went on and on about people who are poz not disclosing their status to their sex partners, but if you're going around having unprotected intercourse without knowing your own status, then you're potentially doing the same thing. A huge amount of people don't know they are hiv positive and this has a lot to do with the fact that hiv infections are still on the rise.

Stop speculating about your status or wondering if medical tests that have nothing to do with hiv will flag your hiv status. Just go test and get it over with.
