Am I Infected worry or not to worry
« on: April 03, 2009, 01:41:29 pm »
hi experts,  Thanks for this great Job.
English is not my first language . I try to do my best.
I am male 30 yr old
in July 2008 one night i have been sex club and while I was masturbating myself
suddenly someone (male) came close to me and he sucked my cock about 2 minutes
i cum on his mouth and he Just spit it out immediately . at that time i didn't know
why he did spit it out. but later on i notes that could be reduce the risk of hiv.

anyway i was worried about getting hiv oral sex (receiver) and after 6 month
i tested twice and it came negative  hiv and STI . and I was happy to hear that
but when i asked my doctor if it is enough 6 month for window period ,
he answered this " 6 month after exposed is 97 % cured
and 1 year after exposed 99% test cured
. and he asked me to test again 6 month so that is 1 year after expose
.
he makes me too worry again , what makes me more worry is that few days
after test I have since low back pain and pain on my pelvic and musical pain

when i saw this website i tried to forget what my doctor said  but still I have the symptoms
and the paid makes me to worry too.

thanks again and you doing great for the world

You were never at risk of contracting HIV from a blowjob. You don't need any further testing.

Min,

Getting a blowjob is NOT a risk for hiv infection. You never needed to test in the first place. You ARE hiv negative.

The window period - when there has been a risk - is three months, not six, not twelve. The doctor you spoke to knows next to nothing about hiv.

Again, blowjobs are NO risk and you do not need further testing. You ARE hiv negative.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
