Title: Strange Fetish - Need Your Help
Post by: curiousboi on August 05, 2011, 09:58:56 am
Before you judge, please just answer with facts and be judgement free.

My friend has a very odd fetish. Some will say disgusting, but each to their own I guess.

He likes to drink cum out of used condoms. These are from men he doesn't know and the cum is tied inside and is generally a day or two old. He also sometimes jerks off into the cum filled condom too.

I am worried for his health. But I don't want to scare him off with my thoughts, I want evidence.

Can HIV be passed through a used condom that is a couple of days old?

He has no mouth sores or cuts, what are the chances of this?

Thanks for your help.

No, your friend is not at risk for HIV from drinking from used condoms. HIV is a very fragile virus. Even if the semen comes from someone who is HIV+ it would not be in a viable form in that situation.

The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are through unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as condoms are used for those activities the protection is very effective. It really is that simple.

curios,

Yeah, right. I'm the person who vets people who want membership here and I know you're talking about yourself. So you're kinky. So what? You're another thread in the rich tapestry of life.

You are far more at risk for a bacterial infection doing what you're doing. You are absolutely NOT at risk for hiv from your kink.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER THE ACTIVITIES YOU ENGAGE IN WITH YOUR FETISH, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!
