A little special something....

Okay,
because of the holidays, I'm about to show my sensitive side: this is something I wrote many years ago.....and I want to share it with you all:

Tell me, what are you feeling...
I see you smiling and laughing
Yet, I stare into your eyes and see confusion and loneliness.
Tell me, what are you feeling.
When silence falls upon you,
I see a broken heart.
Tell me, what are you feeling.
Is the past what made you this clown?
A joker hiding behind a mask of smiles,
So scared someone will see beyond the laughter?
Tell me, is that what you're feeling?
I can see you desperately want to share your feelings,
But you hold back.
Is it because you think no one will listen?
Or is it because you're afraid someone might.
Oh mirror, mirror.
Tell me, what are you feeling.
