Cities of the Underworld - in Boston
« on: February 19, 2009, 10:13:19 pm »
On the History channel, there is a show called "Cities of the Underworld".  Tonight, they featured Boston.  They showed smuggling tunnels under a church (Old North Church) that date back to colonial times.  There's also 40 tombs that once held the bodies of over 1000 free-masons.  There are even tunnels in the basements of houses said to be used not only by pirates, but also by members of the mob who used them to smuggle over $2million from an armored-car hiest.

Finding out if there are tours avaliable to these underground "tunnels" may be something worth looking in to.

Mum
FYI: there are also secret free-mason tunnels in Philly.
