Hello. I am a 39 year old gay man in a relationship for 10 years, and have been faithful all this time. 3 weeks ago I went to a bar with strippers to celebrate and a friend got me a private dance with one of the go go boys. While in private he took out his penis and I gave him unprotected oral for what must have been less than 5 seconds (no ejaculate and I dont think there was precum) I stopped once I realized what I was doing and that I had a small canker sore on my lip from biting myself a week before. I told my partner about this and he thinks I am being silly, but should I get tested? bit anxious. Thanks

Worried, you can relax. Your saliva contains over a dozen elements and proteins which provide a very effective barrier against the transmission of viable HIV.
There is no need for testing nor for further concern on your part.
You also need to know that the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. That's it. As long as condoms are used for those activities should you ever do anything outside of your relationship, condoms will will provide very effective protection.
Get on with your life. You're good to go as far as HIV is concerned.

Thank you, Andy. I think a feel better. Even though I knew this I still wanted to hear it directly.

Yes, it's good not to let HIV fears rattle around in your head.
You're good to go this time. On with your life...

Andy, I know you said no need for testing, but I went ahead and had and Oraquick finger-prick test done today at 26 days and tested negative (silly, I know). I realize i will not be the first confirmed case of hiv by oral, but How accurate is this test?

Had you had a risk which you didn't, it would not have been conclusive at all. 3 months post exposure is when a person that has had an exposure can obtain a conclusive negative test result.

Oraquick is an approved test. For you testing is strictly for your peace of mind and I did not and do not expect anything other than negative results for you.
-
So I can forget about this and I don't need to test anymore?

I never thought you needed to get tested in the first place. Let this go and get on with your life.
