Dippy,

Sperm on your thumb is not a risk for hiv infection.

Your seven week negative result is not going to change. You are hiv negative.

Dippy,

I've merged your new thread into your original thread - where you should post all your additional thoughts or questions. It helps us to help you when you keep all your additional thoughts or questions in one thread.

If you need help finding your thread when you come here, click on the "Show own posts" link under your name in the left-hand column of any forum page.

Please also read through the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) so you can familiarize yourself with our Forum Posting Guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.

It is extremely rare for a person to become infected from giving a blowjob. I do not expect your seven week negative result to change.

Please read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) and follow the links for further information.

Dippy,

One last time, it is extremely rare for a person to become infected from giving a blowjob. I do not expect your seven week negative result to change.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL STIs together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with a sexually transmitted infection.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

You have your 3 months conclusive test which was negative. You do not need to test any further.

I writing this to see if I can get the correct answer on oral sex. Can you are can you not get HIV from oral sex M2M or is this very rare. Also is the Home Access test a good one. Its been awhile since I took the test about six months ago and that was at the six month mark but it was Negative. The reason I ask is because my wife has been goin through a bad spell of diarrhea for about a week and some hot and cold spell, and all I can think is could the test be wrong? I did take like 3 test in that six month period.
Thanks for the answers and support

We have explained this to you previously. Re-read the answers you've been given in this thread.

You do not have HIV.

Thank you I looked at my thread again and saw the answers I was scared with her latest bout with sickness that the test could have been faulty, but I did see that someone had wrote in one of the threads that Home Acces in not good for a six week test when is it good my test were at 12 weeks and 6 months. The rest were too early this is the last of the questions

Dippy,

Your three month test was conclusive. Your six month test was overkill. You do not have hiv. Whatever is going on with your wife has nothing to do with hiv. If she's ill, take her to a doctor.

I want to tell you all thnk you for the help you have given me in the past and all that have posted on this site, but I am confused. Let me start off by saying that i am a male and I enjoy goving oral sex I understand that there has never been a case of a person contacting hiv from from recieving, but what about the person that is giving what are the risk if any, because I use to like to swallow. I have gone to using condoms when doing this, but to tell the truth dont enjoy sucking on latex but I know that is the safest way to go.
I have been through lots of site to get the answer but this is the best.

Thank You

I have merged your threads..please keep all your thoughts and question in this one from now on...than you for your cooperation.

When giving oral to a man, and if the reciever is HIV then infection is possible if the infected sperm gets into any cuts, sores or bleeding gum..but we are talking SERIOUS cuts, sore and very bad dental hygien..HIV has to get into the blood stream..I suggest you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) again on how HIV is and is not transmtted.

Well just had a question for you and you have always been helpful in the past. This time before having sex with a female she rubbed my cock on her pussy then she tried to insert but i said no and put a condom on now the question when she tried to insert my cock into her it went in about a half inch or even a inch before i pulled out and put a condom on so is there a chance that I could have contacted HIV and should I start testing
Title: Re: Confused can you answer

No, this does not constitute a risk for HIV transmission and you don't need to test over it.

thank you very much because I was kind of concerned with the insertion part

well i was scared because 2 weeks later I feel like I have a sore throat Im sure it is just my nerves getting to me. I see by reading HIV is a fragile virus but the fear lies in me that she had inserted me into her half an inch to an inch without a condom but I pulled out imediatlly and put a condom on

ok now I need to be educated how is inserting a half inch to an inch unprotected not able to get HIV? Im lost now and I know I still have a sore throat but it is probally my nerves and alergies.

Once again Thanks for you help

Dip,

It's an tiny, tiny, tiny, microscopic risk. Hiv is very difficult to transmit from a woman to a man and you're more likely to walk outside your house today and find a winning lottery ticket lying in the gutter than you are to end up hiv positive over this incident. It was more frottage (which is NOT a risk) than unprotected intercourse.

If you're worried, test. Don't be surprised by your negative result.

In the meantime, take your sore throat to your doctor. It's nothing to do with hiv.

I was reading in the forum section and i dont understand can you please explain why it is harder from female to male thank you

HIV is not an easy virus to transmit. it's significantly harder to accomplish from female to male. Given it was a single and brief incident the odds are very much in your favor against transmission having occured.

This is what you had answered to somebody else

Dip,

The receptive partner, whether we're talking vaginal or anal intercourse, has a MUCH larger surface area containing the correct type of cells hiv can infect. The penis of the insertive partner only needs to worry about the urethra or the "inside" of the foreskin. As long as a condom is covering the head of the penis, there is no worry.

With the risk being lower for the insetive partner (male to male) does it go the same for (male to female)
Title: Re: Confused can you answer
Post by: Ann on August 11, 2008, 08:17:49 pm
Dip,

The insertive partner is the insertive partner no matter what the configuation is.

If you're worried, test. Don't be surprised by your negative result.

Next time, put a condom on your penis and forgo all this worry.

i dont know if its just my nerves and the guilt of what i did and she now knows what i did scared and told her

Your guilt is not something we can help you with here; you should see a therapist or counselor. The advice we can give you is on HIV transmission. That message is the same at the bottom of this thread as is was at the top. Unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse are the methods of HIV transmission. Use a condom, correctly, everytime you engage in these activities.

Could it be ARS that me and the wife are feeling sore throat that comes and goes and runny nose on and off
Title: Re: Confused can you answer
Post by: Ann on August 16, 2008, 07:08:47 am
Dippy,

How long ago did you have unprotected intercourse with "a woman in the military"? You need to test three months past that incident.

ARS does NOT "come and go".

Didnt know if you were asking a question but had unprotected sex week and half ago
Title: Re: Confused can you answer

Dip,

You say unprotected "sex", but unless you're talking about either anal or vaginal intercourse, you're worrying over nothing.

And if you ARE talking about unprotected intercourse, then more fool you. You've been coming here for nearly two years now and if you haven't understood by now that you need to use condoms, then I'm not sure what more we can do for you here.

A test at three months past this incident, if it was actually unprotected intercourse, will be conclusive. In the meantime, don't expect to be able to use this forum as a place to wring your hands over this totally avoidable risk.

You know what, you are correct and yes im talking about unprotected intercourse, yes fool me and I think I will take the words of the wise and put them in play and use condoms for now on I will not use this site just to ease my mind, I ask the questions for the stupid mistakes that i make by not using condoms
