I did it , I finally busted 1000 cd4's! My Cd4 level is 1036.
If you remember my back story I lost nearly half my CD4's on my last visit 4 months ago, down to 489. Doc thought it was due to my "fluish" couple months where I was sick constantly ( I didnt get a flu shot last winter, lesson learned).
My Kidneys have finally leveled out at 138, which is still slightly impaired, but its still good because they had been dropping each time, and now It seems Ive stopped the decline.
I weigh in at a strapping 173 (all muscle of course), good BP. And I had my Pap smear to make sure my love tunnel was free from barnacles..she was a bit rough this time, felt like she was performing a Root-canal down there. But in the end I thanked her by giving her a nice brown eye wink.
Oh, seems my Hep B shots have not taken, so they gave me a double dose this time, one in each arm. I asked what happens if this doesn't take, and she said "Just dont get Hep B". Actually if it doesn't take they will repeat the double does on next visit.
The dog ate the Lipid results...she did not order them again this time so nothing to report there. sorry MissP.
In celebration I went to Mi Tierras in the World Famous Market Square! Es muy bien! and had the DELUX plate and a nice Margarita. Even had a Mariachi pluck me a pretty tune :P

Congrats and you are a riot! :)

Willy; Great numbers! I know I would freak out (even though I shouldn't) if my CD4s were cut in half. The deluxe plate and mariachi sounds appropriate.
best wishes on the hep b vac!

Wow. I have cd4 envy.
Congrats on the kidney test, I'm sure your feeling relieved by that one. :)

Good for you, congrats.

Congrats on your numbers! i hope mine rebound after my last plunge due to my flu. I don't think i could allow a female to feel around in my lower regions, just a personal thing for me

Congrats! Do you and your doc think the kidney issues are due to meds, the virus, or both? I remember you discussing it, but cannot remember. Oh, Texas has places doing anal paps? I've asked every doc visit and asked my colorectal doc, and I'm always told no one is doing it here.
Again, great news on your labs.

Congrats, Will! So happy your Cd4's went back up. Hopefully your kidneys will continue to improve and the Hep B vaccine will take this time.

It's sort of insane for doctors (especially a colorectal doc) to say no one is doing them?? All it requires is a swapping of your hole and that is smeared on a microscope slide. The slide is stained with papanicolaou stain (hence the "pap smear" name). Any histologist, followed by a pathologist should be able to read this slide and see normal vs. abnormal cells. This test ain't rocket science.

Modified to add: Great results Wumpy..... sorry for the small hijack.

Interesting sidenote...my doc made a comment which struck me as odd...she said something along the lines of "You're lucky, we can do the Pap today, we havent been able to do them very much lately" I didnt question her, and I have no idea what that means.
