Es posible que algun experto en el foro hable espñol?
Mi inglés es bastante malo, pero si no hay ningún experto que hable español lo puedo intentar.
9 weeks ago I had sex with a sex worker. I used condom but i was drunk and I have got doubts if the condom "resbaló" and any part of my dick was not covered; I dont remember if the condom was used during all the relation, but if it was not it happened for a short time( 2-3 minutes).
I had an anti vih1/2 negative (0.00) I know that my risk is low but the only thing that can calm me is if the test at 8 weeks is good.

Worried, your English is quite sufficient.
First of all, you need to know that mixing excessive drinking and casual sex is a dangerous combination. So you have to wake up to that dangerous reality and avoid it happening again in the future.
From what you have written it seems your memory is unclear as to exactly how long you were wearing a condom or not. In such an instance testing is a good idea. My guess is you may have had it on longer than you recall, but that's only guessing.
The average time to seroconversion is 22 days. All but the smallest number of those who are going to seroconvert will do so within 4 to 6 weeks after an exposure to the HIV virus. So a negative result at 8 weeks would be very encouraging. Assuming that happens you should still re-test at 13 weeks to for an absolutely reliable result.

I have told you that I don't remember if I used condom all the time because I didn't "put off" (yo no me lo quité) so I supose that she did it. All that I can say is always that I looked the condom was there.
I know that waas a very short relation (5-6 minutes) because I don't eyaculated. I thought about my wife and I went away. I have told it my wife of course.
This is the only realtion that i have got out of my marriage. Friends, dirinks, club... I don't use to drink.
Because your experience: what is my risk. Is possible that I remembered that night all of my life? If my test at 8 weeks is negative ...how many probabilities that change at 12 weeks are there? Thanks again.

Assuming you test negative at 8 weeks, which I think is very likely to happen given what you have said, then I would expect you to continue to test negative.
The odds are definitely in your favor that you will test negative.

Thanks and i hope things happends as you have said. Only an explanation because I think I have not explained well: I am negative at 8 weeks. I have already tested and I am negative.

:( Itis very difficult wait till pass this last three weeks. I am tired, so tired and a i am very sad.
i can't understand why if most of people seroconvet at 6 weeks we must wait to 12 weeks to be sure we are not infected. It is very hard.

While it is true that the vast majority of people who have actually been infected will seroconvert and test positive by six weeks, hiv is something we need to be very sure about. The official window period remains (for now) at three months to catch the RARE person who takes a little longer than six weeks to test postitive.
I fully expect you to continue testing negative and so should you. After all, you remember using a condom and condoms really do prevent hiv transmission. Keep using them, correctly and consistently, and you will remain hiv negative. It really is that simple!

I am sorry very much if i disturb you again but i could not wait and i have tested again at 10 weeks: metodo elfa hiv1/2 NEGATIVE. i know that i have to wait till 12-13 weeks but i`d like you told me if i can be "más tranquilo" (sorry for my spanglish).

I would like you tell me wath you think about this:
I am thinking to delay my 13 weeks test because i am afraid if, as you said, if become negative, then i will think it is a false negative. So maybe could be good wait more time.
Do you Know anyone who test negative at ten weeks and positive later?
As I said, my risk was that i dont remember if the condom was weared till the end. I Know that if wasn`t weared it happened for a very short time (1 or 2 minutes) I did'nt eyaculate. the relation was very short too (5- 6 minutes).
This have been a single risk and i hope never more.
I am married, and two lovely kids. That nigth was a crazy night that i hope i could forget someday.

No Worried, I've never heard of anyone testing negative at 10 weeks only to test positive at 13 weeks. You don't need to delay your test past 13 weeks, you won't return a false positive.

But thw problem is not a a false positive, the problem is if i will believe that the 13 weeks is conclusive.
When i tested at 10 weeks i feel very well. Later i began to worried again.
That is the reason i think wait more time that 13 weeks to retest is a good idea.
i think my risk is low, i dont Konw it, but my mind thinks i can seroconvert later than 13 weeks.
Andy, Ann, Rapid... what do you think? Sorry again, i know i became paranoic but i need your help.
i fell more sad each day.

hello all of you:
i have found the sex worker i was with 3 months ago. i have asked her if doesn't mind to test herself and have said yes.
I Know this is not an ordinary question but i'd like to know what you think. Is this a good idea?

I don't think getting her to test for you is a good idea at all. If she wants to test for her own peace of mind, then fine, but it's got nothing to do with you.
You can get your conclusive results for yourself now - so go do it. I'm not expecting your results to change and neither should you, but get your conclusive results and don't rely on the woman's results instead. Test YOURSELF and never mind about anyone else.

Even assuming the sex worker tests negative that is not the same as you getting your own test result. Pressuring her to get tested is a very questionable thing to do.
Now and in the future YOU are responsible for your health. Like Ann I do expect you to continue to test negative. And in the future it's your responsbility to make certain that when you have intercourse you are always wearing a latex condom. No excuses and no exceptions.

Thanks Andy, so: if than one was a single incident, and me and my wife we live in a monogamus relation, can i have sex with her without condoms now?

Yes, you have reliably tested negative. You can have intercourse with your wife without using condoms.
And remember, should you ever be having sex outside of your marriage again you need to use a condom everytime for intercourse. No exceptions.

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, then you've gotten it wrong. Just because something might be said in one of our poz only forums, doesn't make it right.
HPV infection does not "enlarge" the window period nor is it clear that HPV infection increase the risk of HIV being transmitted. The window period for HIV testing is 3 months regardless of whether a person has HPV infection or not.

No. Neither HBV or HCV increase the window period for HIV testing.
