I just give up my jimmy choo for my med.
« on: June 19, 2008, 07:45:56 pm »
Ok, I can blame this happen on my stupid boss who didn't pay our premium on time and our insurance were terminated . Fortunately, we did not have a break more than 63 days , we got on this new insurance. Well, I had a GHI for almost 4 years and my premium was $79/ month. I had a mail order for my meds , 3 month supply for $20 co-pay.
Well, for this new enrollment , everyone told me Healthnet is better than GHI.......
Now , I have a Healthnet and went to fill my meds ,they cover Norvir and Truvada BUUUUUUT, they only give me 15 caps of Reyataz!!!!! They don't cover 30 caps b/c cost of med. I spoke to a girl from customer service and also pharmacy division and they told me I am covered. What the ......!!!!!
I guess I have to pay 15 caps of Reyataz from my pocket. I do not know how much it will cost cause I am scared to find out . But I have to eventually .
I can not apply for ADAP ,  my income and my liquid asset .....
Do you have any idea or just give up my shoes.
Is anyone have Healthnet Insurance ?
Are they good ????

hi momo,

I have Healthnet but only for my doctors, labs, hospitals etc... my meds are through MedCo.
As far as coverage for my docs, labs, hospital I am pretty happy with them.

Momo, I don't have any great advice to give you.  You might want to contact your ASO (Aids Service Organization) to see if they could be of any help.
