Oh my god, I was responsible last night
« on: March 01, 2007, 07:13:37 pm »
I had a few drinks with a mate visiting from LA last night and as per usual when we drink together we end up having sex.

He wanted to give me one (if you know what I mean) but he couldn't find any condoms in the place he was staying. Despite his interest in continuing without a condom, I acually held firm and refused to let him in. I haven't always been so firm in my resolve, so was really happy with myself after. Yippey for me.
Be forgiving, be grateful, be optimistic

I'm so fucking proud of you... please don't think that's condescending, but we, of all people should keep the faith
(and condoms in accessible places)
I know i'm going to enjoy the party in the afterlife, but do you all mind that I'm going to be VERY late!!!

Good job!

I'm being quite serious, too.

You'll be able to sleep nights over this!   :D

Oh Little Steve!

What has become of you? All this responsible carry on. Living healthy, swimming marathons and now passing on a tusk up the runter from a beloved fuck buddy because of an absence of frangers?

Matty the Damned is disappointed. ;) :-*

As difficult as it must have been....I agree with you.  You did the right thing.
Perhaps it might be a good idea to have a condom on you at all times....
when you find yourself drinking with your mate :-*

Last night you really were acting responsibly: congratulations.  Despite the drinks, despite the 'usual,' things stopped at a certain point (so to speak).  This morning, are your thoughts that he would take that well, your stopping him, and so be ready as you will be the next time?  Best Win

;)  It is always a fight against animal instinct and common sense.  I am glad you found common sense.

You're a better man than me Charlie Brown.

Although I really don't have the opportunities anymore, I'm just not sure I could hold my wanton desires in check.  Never could before.  But like Matty said, you're swimming marathons now, climbing mountains, doing the Steve Irwin thing with red-bellied black snakes.  Mother Nature's son.  More power to you!!

In the meantime, matey,  I've reserved a spot for you in the Alacatraz swim brigade.

When I used this example with the harm reduction director today of our a.s.o., the question was also did he know that you are hiv positive, echoing what antibody posted.  Win
