Forgot to take my meds today.
« on: July 04, 2013, 02:15:06 am »
I used to take it at night and never forgot, but if I went out I would have to take it a few hours later than normal.  So 2 months ago I switched to taking it in the morning.  It's much better because the Prezista was giving me insomnia.  So I usually take it when I wake up, but today I woke up 2 hours early, so I had breakfast and it totally slipped my mind.  Then I remembered it was Wednesday which is the day to refill my weekly pill bottle (but it was almost bedtime) , that keeps track if I took a dose cause sometimes it's automatic and I forget if I took it.  Today I had a lot of things on my mind so I guess that made me forget.  Oh well, I'm sure I'll be fine.  I think it's been over a year since I missed a day.
Pray God you can cope
I know you have a little life in you yet.
I know you have a lot of strength left.

One missed dose in over a year is pretty terrific.  Good for you.

Yes, you'll be fine after missing yesterday's dose  :)

Setting up an alarm clock on the mobile helps to keep regimen.
I would set even twice: one to take a pill, another 5 minutes after to check if its done. :)

studies have established that >=95% adherence results in successful therapy

since missing only one dose in a year is 99.726% adherence, you shouldn't give this a second thought

unless that 2nd thought is to realize that this missed dose now counts are part of your emergency surplus ;)
