Get a load of these numbers!?!?
« on: March 24, 2009, 10:50:58 am »
Well, one month ago I started my first meds with HIV,  (Atripla).
My numbers on that day was T4 200, and VL 359,000. :'(
Been on Atripla now for one month, and my nurse called today with my latest set of numbers:
Had to ask her to repeat:  T4 759, and VL is 220. ;D

It is remarkable how fast those numbers turned around,  especially as "bad" as they were.
Ya I am and have had numerous side effects, but nothing that can't be  lived with, especially when Atripla is kicking my HIV's butt!!!!
JUST HAD to share this great news.  Tested POS 3 years ago, and have watched my health and HIV numbers getting worse and worse,  but trusted my DR, and obviously he knows what he is doing, at least with me.

Well, cold/rainy/snowy/windy here,  how does a crock pot of white chili with chicken sound today!!
Hugs, Bruce

Yeah, you had a really, really exceptional response to your treatment.  You must be ecstatic.  Congrats!

Sounds good to me!

The chili, I mean, but the lab numbers too.

I'm surprised your doctor let your numbers get so bad before starting meds.

It took me over a year to get to those numbers... congrats!  Of course, to balance it all out, I've had minimal to no side effects.  It's really nice to not have to worry so much watching one's health decline... that's probably one of the best things to me.

bruce.

great numbers. Congratulations~~.  Terrific results for meds that aren't too terribly bad.

Yeah, treat yourself to a nice bowl of chili.  It just might be your last for awhile.  After all, spring is here.
