Any way to spread HIV without sex?
« on: February 04, 2014, 11:14:51 pm »
One concern is still killing me , can anyone kindly take a read and give some suggestion:

Since I had a mutual masturbation with kind of stranger and I clearly believed that it is safe one, however, I am worried that if he had any possibilities to infuse HIV virus to me by someway

I know it is an irrational question, but I am thinking what if he did so. I recalled the time that we spent, and I didn't feel any pain or hurt by the syringe needle. So I assume or I can make sure that he didn't use needle. Besides, do you know, based on your solid experience, any other methods can spread the virus? Like any updated way without hurt to spread? And does the virus will transmit into the blood vessel?

I know this is a very ridiculous question, but please kindly explain any possibilities to spread the virus WITHOUT sexual behavior (Cox I realized jerk off is safe) and by needle (Cox I didn't feel the pain)

Thanks a million for your help!

You never had an exposure.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

I am was so irrational about being stabbed by the partner who jerk off with me.

Previously I thought as long as I go to test, it will be fine three months later. But last night suddenly a irrational and terrible thoughts came to my mind, that is, WHAT IF the guy who jerked off with me produced the HIV VIRUS can effect or delay the seroconversion  so that can put window period to like one year later, or three year later, that means I may not receive peace of mind all the time. Once I realized it, I knew it was a super horrible thoughts.

So now I would like to ask you that could you explain this issue from medical angle to convince me that the window period only stops around three or six months, but it can't take unpredictable time period.

I do need help, since this thoughts invades me, I barely sleep, I think it can make me feel rational from the medical perspective.

Thanks.

You have not had a risk for HIV and its clear you have an irrational fear or phobia surrounding HIV . I want to make this clear ... We can not help you get over this fear no matter how much information we provide so please go see a doctor and get some therapy for you Phobia . Do yourself a favor and do not buy a subscription because if you come back with more of the same you will have to be given a time out or ban . I would gladly help you or make it better if I could but your needs are beyond my skill set . I'm wishing you the best .

The average time to seroconversion is 22 days. Most who are infected will test positive by 6 weeks. For various reasons a small number will take longer and that is why we follow the CDC recommendation to test at 3 months for a conclusive negative result.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Although you did not have a risk and do not need to test for this specific incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks!

Actually my concern is very simple: do you think if someone infuse HIV virus to the needle, this virus can be produced with some factor that can  delay to window period.

Ps: what circumstance that I need to pay?

How did we go from masturbation to someone infusing HIV into a needle? The phrase needle dick is just a figure of speech.
