« on: November 10, 2008, 11:53:05 pm »
i have had awful side effects from lisinopril , for high blood pressure !
it caused an awful rash , that i thought was from HIV meds ,seems it is NOT .

sleep problems ,skin problems , a wretched cough ,that comes at night .
A real " red neck " , both sides of neck , chest upper arms .
i sweat like a pig , at the wrong times .

Do yourselves a favor and GOOGLE  " lisinopril side effects , you could read for days !
i read for three hours before i was pooped !

just thought this may help with anyone NOT

knowing why they feel like crap , and know it is

                               not  HIV meds related

Hey Weasel,

When I first started Lisinopril, a freind of mine warned me of these side effects. However, it has lowered my blood pressure.

And, I have developed a rash across my shoulders and chest. I will have a talk with my Dr on my next visit.

Did you stop taking Lisinopril?

I have JUST received my new blood pressure meds !

it is :   " AMLODIPINE BESYLATE  "  2.5 mg.

I will see how this works for me .

It is not what I wanted , but the Veterans Association tends to lean towards cheep  :o

The medication recomended by my freind in Saint Louis , that is on the same HAART

as I , does not cause  E.D. ,that would be such a joy  :)

Does that have more than one medicinal use? I take it for my diabetes, supposedly to help my kidneys....But what meds don't have side effects, it's always something...

yes my queen  :) ,

It is used for angina , it is used to relieve the kidneys of
having to process the medication .  Other blood pressure  meds
are filtered throught the Kidneys .

                    ***********

It seems to be prescribed for a multiple amount of problems  :o

Does it  ruin your libido ?
                      or is that just a " king " thing ?  ;)

I hope it works better than Lisinopril .

                                                                      karl

P.S. I have a liver that HURTS ,But the doctor thought this med was right for me .

I will give it a month ! Then deside  if it is good for me .

I take Lisinopril for hypertension.  I started with 10 mg and then was put on 20 mg.  I felt so lethargic and got very dizzy whenever I stood up.  I reduced it back to 10 and felt much better.  My blood pressure has stayed where it should be - it's been 120/80 ever since I cut my dosage back.  I have a bit of a cough on occasion and my energy level is still not what it used to be (HIV, HAART, Lisinopril... who knows what the cause is?), but I'm much better on 10 mg.  I never experienced any of the other side effects that have been mentioned here.

I've been taking the Lisinopril 10 mg for about a year now.  I think it is for blood pressure and I get good results while I am in the clinic.  Never had any side effects but the warning on the bottle addresses driving and operating heavy machinery, things I really don't do while sleeping.

I did dream recently, I had lost my car in San Francisco, it was on Walters street and I searched all of Twin Peaks by foot looking for the thing, knocking on doors and asking everyone.  When I woke up, it was in the carport at my house.  Must have been the Sustiva working my every gay nerve.  ;D  Have the best day
