Indroducing myself
« on: March 25, 2008, 06:38:47 pm »
Hello,
as posted a few days ago in the LIVING HIV forrum I am new here.

I am 33, married for a few years now and recently we found out that my husband is positive.
As we are together for years (but always having safer sex, condoms, in order to avoid pregnancy) my husband has to contain this lovely virus for years. Luckily I am negative (cause we always had safe sex), I got tested some weeks ago.

We discovered my husband`s status cause we got both tested in order to start our family plans, getting children and having unprotected sex.
Now we`ll have to change our plans and think about sperm washing.

Fortunately my husbands values are still good, his cd 4 is about 400 and his vll low (about 3000). So he is still healthy.

That`s all for the moment.

Germangirl, welcome to the women's forum.  I think they used to have 'rules' about women who are not + posting here, but we let all women in now (I'm sure if I'm wrong, one of the goderators will correct me).  Anyway, lady, you're among the tough bitches here.  Feel free to post in our dating thread.  It's not all about dating; it's about our daily lives, struggles, support of one another etc.  Look forward to hearing more from you!
  luv,
Betty

New here today myself

I also have been married to the same man for a long time - in my case 21 years - and faithfully on my part since i knw him, which was longer.

But unfortunately - despite sex being quite rare as he is a seaman away at sea for months of a year and using condoms etc for much of our married life to further avoid pregnancy - I find I am also HIV positve.

Probably would not have been if we had not given up condoms when I reached menopause :(

But never mind = there is nothing I can do about it now

I am just so glad you are negative - I would not want any other woman to go though this if it was avoidable
love to you

Veritee
I have a blog here, please do not judge me on what I say here- I need to offload and this is where I do it: http://hiv-and-us.blogspot.com/
