Title: super anxious and worried help please
Post by: iamveryworriedpleasehelp on December 13, 2013, 08:54:45 am
So I had possible infections on oct 1st and another time later that month. Both times were with protection and I was the receiver but I was not sure if the first one might have rubbed his thing on it without protection. November 17th, I had a rugby tournament and saturday I was feeling fine during my game but after that a night of not the best sleep (which by the way we were sharing beds) i woke up what felt like somewhat of a fever or just the general feeling of absolute shittiness. That week for maybe the next two nights I had night sweats and most likely a fever. I ended up with a violent cough that had flem in it but i think slowly transitioned into dry cough maybe. The cough would definitely worsen when I lied down to sleep. I spent a night with a girl who evidently also started getting very similar sickness as me a couple days after we spent the night togehter. That lasted until thanksgiving when I started using dayquil and nyquil and it went away. Also, when i started having the fever the week after the rugby tournament, I felt this bump on my neck. I thought it was acne so i squeezed it alot for like that entire week. I still have that bump which i think now is a swollen lymph node but i also believe that by pinching it, i made it last longer. Recently, I have been extremely anxious and nervous thinking I have HIV and doing alot of symptom searching even though i know its not good. Ive been thinking if i infected this girl who is important in my life. I thought alot about how this would ruin my life and I would never be able to have kids or a normal dating life. Also, i became lactose intolerant so I had alot of diarrhea for awhile but then maybe a few days before thanksgiving, I had black stool. This could have been related to an injury I sustained in a rugby game where I was peeing blood, but after an emergency room checkup, they said it was only a major back contusion, but it was very near my kidney. It is a possibility that i reinjured it a couple weeks later but maybe it is related to ARS or something. Also, only a few times that i can remember (mostly because i don't check my poop alot) do i remember very solid poop.  I would say a week ago, i noticed some white stuff on the back of my tongue but i was pretty sure it wasn't thrush. But today, after seeing small red bumps near the side of my tongue but still on top, i decided to try to scrub off with my tooth brush. A little blood emerged which made me think I infact did have thrush. I've been in Oman travelling and doing hiking and walking around alot in the mountains and i started feeling alot of muscle aches in different parts of my body more than i usually feel. My dad didn't feel these and i am in much better shape than he is. Also i play rugby so it shouldn't have been a big deal. But, I was stressing alot about this HIV thing the whole time before the aches started occuring. Also, since wrestling (winter), I feel that I have had a lack of appetite, but more recently I believe my appetite has gone down even more. Idk whats up but i plan on getting checked out when i get back, but does anyone have any ideas or thoughts on my case.

Worried,

It's next to impossible to wade through your wall of text and make any sense out of it.

Provided you've been using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, you have not had a risk for hiv infection.

Neither symptoms nor even the lack of symptoms will ever tell you a single thing about your hiv status. Only regular testing will.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

I'm sorry, I guess I just kept typing without realizing. But, my main questions are:

1) Can symptoms occur on a timeline, where I had the the flu/cold symptoms and then the thrush and muscle pains later?

2) How likely are my muscle aches and thrush related to my severe anxiety over this

3) Maybe this is dumb but can someone get infected from their hole being rubbed by a d***.
